Lot of people are of the opinion that they would have preferred Nakku to have remained dark and unattractive. Then the story's essence would have been something unique! They would also have been able to build more soul and relatability on such a theme, as majority of people in this world are those who are insecure about their looks, and because of that reason, people fail to recognise and appreciate theirs and other people's inner beauty. Everyone is living in a superficial world, and majority of them can only appreciate things that attracts their 5 senses! But they fail to realise that the real "quality" and "soul" cannot be felt by these 5 senses, you need to go beyond the senses to actually experience it!

But then, the channel people would never have preferred that, as they feel attractive girls bring in more TRPs 🤢! Thats why, no channel is encouraging non-conventional serials and stories, as at the end of the day, they only care about profitability and TRPs!

i feel the message tht LTL was tryin 2 pass on was tht beauty isnt everything... n i think they very beautifully conveyed that in LTL1...as naku summed it up tht no1 treated her well seeing her color, infact they used 2 make fun of her, no1 was her friend, bt dutta saved her, accepted her as a friend, gave her respect n even fell in love with her...wt they tried 2 shw was tht dutta is evrything a girl wud wnt in her hubby (excluding the don part) n he cud hav ne girl he wntd bt he chose naku becos he fell in love with her inner beauty... n thts wt they wntd 2 convey tht love a person for their inner beauty and not outer beauty...

many shws hav tried showing the fair v/s dark complexion story be it saath phere or bidaai, bt LTL conveyed it in a very unique way!! i feel it successfully managed 2 convey its msg... and koyal naku has becum an eternal part of our memory...c hw we keep comparing fair naku 2 koyal naku n say tht we prefer her... thts jus shwin hw we r overlooking outer beauty which is wt they wntd the viewers 2 do...

i miss koyal naku a lot---her talks..as dutta mentioned her bak bak... fair naku is gd bt it seems she is a very dif person 2 our koyal naku...i reali wna c the sme koyal naku in fair naku tho... the sme old bak bak tht she used 2 do n also meri aayi bolti hai...lol.. mis those days😳😳😳 esp wen she once sed 2 dutta... meri aayi bolti hai jisko jitna ghussa aata hai usko utni zyaada bhok lagti hai... awww so innocent naku was... i hpe 2 c tht innocence return cos it seems 2 b missing from fair naku😕

@ blue - No Yuvi, I dint mean the beautiful Nakku being kept dark 😳. What I meant was, only if the story itself was about a real "dark and ugly" girl, and not a beautiful girl. I know, there would be a difference in the storyline in that case (like there wouldnt have been any FR tracks), but the story would have been more unconventional and different, and more about "inner beauty" at all times 😳. u mean a bit like hw Saath phere and bidaai had characters like saloni and ragini who in real life are dark? hmmm naa i personally am glad they didnt, it wud hav been another SP n Bidaai in the making...m glad LTL used this unique concept of fair girl applying dark make up... im glad they used a dif approach 2 convey the sme msg tht SP n Bidaai wer tryin 2 convey bt i feel LTL left us thinking ova our actions while SP n Bidaai wer mre like awww poor saloni, ragini or sadhna... (esp bidaai--ppl felt sori for the fair girl mre than the dark girl) bt here yes we felt bad for naku at the start bt she was so strong tht wen ppl made comments on her beauty or laughed at her we didnt feel bad bt wer proud of the way she handled it... But nevertheless, LTL with pretty Nakku is also good enough and really soulful, so it doesnt make much of a difference 😳.
