I can only think of one off the top of my head since this has always been my favourite MR moment. Also one of my most favourite moments of LTL in general.

The whole scene where Dutta finally understands Jagtap. Where Jagtap tells him to take his "khazana" and run. Where Jagtap is ready to risk his life for Dutta and Naku. Just like that, without even thinking twice. This stranger Dutta and Naku have just met one day ago is ready to risk his life for them. And also the scene after where Dutta watches as Jagtap takes a bullet on himself in order to save Dutta and Naku. The scene where Dutta watches Jagtap die.

I really can't put it to words. Even though I could actually write pages on this one moment. There's just such a divine connection between these two characters in this moment.

I really think MR outdid even himself in this moment because of the way he portrayed that numbness. That sense of loosing something and yet gaining something at the same time. That sense of something unbelievable, unthinkable happening. That emotion of feeling SO much for an individual. That too a stranger. Dutta and Jagtap are just so connected in this moment.

I really can't describe it...I just always cry my eyes out watching this moment. I've never felt SUCH strong emotions towards a TV show scene as I always feel in this scene. There's just something so tangible, so poignant, so delicate about this moment. I'm just left speechless. And in tears. It's like I don't know what I am feeling but it's something damn special and awesome.

I think it's also the writing/concept...just the whole IDEA of this scene. And just having someone like Jagtap's character also helped. 😆 Maybe more than MR, I'm just in awe of this scene in general. But MR was awesome too because of the way he just reacted. He really didn't have to do much in this scene. It was Jagtap's moment. So by not doing much, he did so much I felt.

Sorry yaar Fatty. I really can't think of any other such distinct MR moment like that. There's just too much MR awesome-ness in general. 😆 Other than of course the obvious ones like the FR, Dutta-Kala confrontation in the end etc. etc. It would just take me a day of research and thought to come up with 4 other distinct moments of MR where I thought he really outdid himself. 😆 This one was easy since it's always been a favourite of mine. :)

I had the youtube video saved so here it is for anyone who wants to re-watch:

@mIsHeZ: Such beautifulllll scenes, you picked! Especially the second wedding night one...MR got a WHOLE monologue in that episode, and what a brilliantly set-up and visualized scene it was...thank you for sharing all the other ones too...lovely to go through them with the links there! *sigh* 😍

I feel all out-discussed.....we've been blabbing so much in the other threads....aur yeh cheezein toh waise bhi naturally aati hain....if you sit and start to PONDER, it doesn't come out AS naturally.....I go with the flow😆

Arey, I will post too, na? 😆 And I know you can cough up five too...when you are NOT all out-discussed, such as today? 😛

Only five 😲 I find the magic of Mishal in each and every Dutta scene..

1. Dutta and Kala scene in the end where he gets the time bombs diffused.....His range of emotions from hurt to anguish at Kala's betrayal, to the pretension of helplessness where he is unable to save his loved ones...his acceptance of defeat in Kala's hand.....+++ his subtle eye movements and body expression language where he his planning the coup de grace..... His lethal confident and totally in command self when he ultimately destroys Kaka's plans.

2. Scene at Anna's Den where he meets Naku. In those few steps and the Tasha hug Mishal brings out a gamut of emotions..from relief and joy in finding Naku to the ultimate realization of his love for her...that without her his world will cease to exist.

3. The scene where Mishal aka Dutta says "Meine tere charitra pe kab shaque kiya" to Naku,in their room.(when Kala accuses Naku with Suresh). He is more angry at himself than he is at her but refuses to accept it'and the tussle between the lover's heart and the don's mind.

4. After second marriage where he opens his heart and soul to her before the FR. Mishal was just brilliant in the scene

5. JMM 1 track where inspite of himself, Dutta is falling in love with Naku. He is confused with his feelings and his own behavior. He wants to hate her for being the "Dhokhe baaz". He does not want to forgive her let alone accept the fact that she loves him. But DSP's main battle is with himself ..
Ye Dutta bhi na..Hamesha Denial mode pe rahata tha.. Sigh

Amazing choices, Ivy...especially the first one...I find it so interesting that you put that as the best one 😊 The third and what you said about it is so APT...Mishal was tremendous at showing Dutta's internal struggle as you said...the emotion in his eyes in that scene is actually just indescribable because of how MINUTE the transitions are...👏 Puts me in awe every time...and I let you off the hook for choosing all of the JMM1 track too! 😆 This arc once again showed the struggle...something MR just EXCELS at, haina? It's actually what gave so much character and susbtance to Dutta 😍 Thank you for sharing your list!

Difficult very Difficult as the sorting hat would say in Harry Potter :)
Here is my take on the Top 5:

1. The scene between Dutta and AS when he lays his head on her lap and says that he wants to sleep. That entire sequence between mother and son was so touching and MR's emoting skills were spot on that I had tears in my eyes. The bond between a mother and child is the most difficult to portray specially if you have to act it out and MR got it spot on :)

2. The Suhaag Raat sequence before Naku's FR to Dutta. That whole monologue, his expressions, the way he delivered the dialogues explaining their whole journey made my heart go out to Dutta inspite of Naku's past and what she had to go through, that scene alone made me think that Dutta's reactions to the FR were justified. Beautifully acted and delivered by MR, I fell in love with him that day!

3. MR yelling at the doctor, who was refusing to treat Naku for some paperwork. That was the doting, caring husband Dutta, the fiery Dutta bhau all rolled in one. He has still not forgiven Naku for her lies to him, but at that moment all he cared for was his wife....it was awesome to see that coming to the fore :) Loved it! MR nailed it yet again :)

4. The Chup Tum Raho sequence in JMM - where all Dutta is doing is acting like a little kid and also keenly observing Naku - his expressions did all the talking and he was spot on as at pouty hero almost craving for all the attention...such a brilliant scene and what an awesome actor!!

5. The proposal to Naku - This is the first time you see Dutta actually laying down before anybody...he did it with such elan and such confidence that any girl would have said yes. He also produced an apology, something that is unlike Dutta bhau as a character....wonderfully done :)

These are my top 5....of course MR is such a bundle of talent that all his scenes come out well!

Your list is so different, Harshita...love it (: The first scene you mentioned is the one from the DP track, right? Or the one post-FR? I lovedddd the one in the DP track...there was so much PEACE in it, and MR singlehandedly made that comfort and 'relief' of surrendering every worry and niggle come through...so tangibly...you know, I always watch that scene and start feeling sleepy myself because of how AT PEACE he becomes at putting his head in Aai Saheb's godh...like all the troubles in the world vanish away...

LOL @ Dutta yelling at the doctor being one of them...class! 😆 Four and five...ahhhh, I couldn't agree more with what you said...the Chup Tum Raho sequence is such a brilliant product by the WHOLE team...just the concept, the silence, the amounts that the INTERACTION said without words...I don't think you ever see something similar in serials because there are only a few, rare actors who can carry off six/seven minutes in SILENCE and still maintain energy and even attention in the scene 👏 Plus, for LTL to take the gamble of putting in so much silence in a give or take 20 minute episode just speaks for how much they could RELY on these actors to captivate and bring SOUL into the story 👏

@blue: Word! It'd be easier to have a thread about MR's not-up-to-par performances because of how RARELY anything would ever fall under that 😆 In this case toh, we run out of adjectives and praises! 😆

Lol Param, you can do the honours for those! 😆 We should have one for Nakku though...so that MV's best scenes can be appreciated too (:

I LOVED Dutta-AS scene there, MR was BRILLIANT 👏! I loved the way the tear drops rolled out from his eyes over his nose 👏! Oh Appu, you make me want to watch that again...:awww: Will definitely pull it up tonight...you know, I think MR had some amazingggggggg performances during the DP track in showing the pain of a CHILD and son...the 'lostness'...the disorientation from being unrooted...remember the "Mera naam kya hai?" scene...stuff that gives you goosebumps because of how MR puts all of him into it...

6) Silent act by MR throughout the JMM1 track, he barely had any dialogues, but so beautifully he conveyed ALL those scenes with just eyes and expressions....SIMPLY BRILLIANT 👏! @bold: So well said 👏

7) After their 2nd wedding, Dutta's open-heart confession to Nakku as to what he really feels for her, and what she REALLY means to him! 😳 This one is on every list without fail! 😆 It would totallllly be in the Master Top 5 if we did a tally of all the lists 😆

Well, so thats my pick. With GREAT difficulty I picked JUST 7 scenes, if given more options, there are 1000s of them from where these came from 😃! I havent elaborated the scenes much, as without that even I'm sure everyone would know WHY these scenes were picked 😉. Well, does this BRILLIANT actor's performance need ANY justification
?!

Like everyone said ,it is really difficult to pick just 5 scenes. But,i will give it a try.
1)During his wedding with Supriya, from the time nakku enters alone, followed by some supposedly dead body of supriya ,his anger at nakku, followed by blankness when he sits in front of that dead body, then his emotional breakdown in his room, then the realisation part that this body is not of supriya, then finally that letter reading by kala.
Throughout these ,he had potrayed so many emotions, his physical gestures like slight tilt of neck, pressing thumb on forehead & his voice modualtion was the best during this wedding.
Especailly when reading the letter kala mentioned him being janwar,he actually made a sound that was not human & i felt chill down my spine.
The best i like about this is,its not only him who went thru all these emotions,he took me also on this roller coster ride of emotions.
Why this is so close to my heart, becaz even my hubby who very rarely watch any tv shows & appreciate any telly actor, sat thru this whole track & said-ye ladka bahut aage jayega👍🏼
The last time he sat with me during LTL was -Morey track😆
Kudos to MR⭐️
Emmmmmm...... lekin ye toh maine 1 scene ki jagah par pura track likh diya😆
That means i am not allowed to wirte any more scenes naa😕
Pls.. let me know ,can i come back with remaining 4 scenes.**pleading muh**
Thanks once again.

I just watched that entire sequence again, Pooja...and I can't help but agree more with you @bold...that animalism in Dutta was not just talked of, it was actually PORTRAYED too...and it's amazing how this is the same guy who can roar, make such sounds to actually make you believe the mental turmoil, the beast inside him, and then he is the same guy who can be as vulnerable as a little child 🤗 It's amazing how on one end, he can make you want to run away and anticipate the worst and on the next, make you feel like comforting him because he will seem like the most lost soul! Re: What your husband said, even I feel like that is such a compliment coming from a man and that too one who rarely watches any tv, so I can't imagine how you felt! 😆 Must have made you even proud of MR, na? (:

And of course you can post 4 more, yaar! We've already had people breaking the rules by posting tracks (entire JMM1 😆) and even 7 scenes! *tries not to look at Appu* 😆 Plus, this first shaadi scene can be counted as a sequence only in itself since there was soooo much else that happened in it too! (:

How do you manage to watch so many scenes out of sequence again and again AND still keep up with Vintage LTL?? You have stamina, woman.....I start to feel overwhelmed.....can't keep track of SO many diverse tracks so simultaneously. I can't THINK so much and FEEL so much so CONSTANTLY......I need to step back and recuperate....lol......waise bhi watching just a couple of scenes makes me not want to watch something else for a while and just absorb those scenes only.......I don't feel like jumping around so quickly between the diverging range of tracks the show had.

@bold: Pallavi, that is sooooooooooo beautiful 🤗 Aw man, it actually makes you cry...what else can be a bigger compliment for an artist than this, for the whole team...to be able to evoke such emotions in a viewer 😊 This moment has never specifically stood out for me, but the way you wrote of it made me see why it touched you so deeply! Thank you so much for sharing it and putting down those thoughts!

I tried convincing someone (hmm, not really, but sharing scenes with them) about LTL today too, and actually got them to be impressed by Dutta/MR as well! *accomplished face* 😆 So yeah, other than watching two scenes for that and seeing the first shaadi sequence that Pooja mentioned + the one Pallavi linked to, I haven't watched anything LTL related poora din, Anu! 😛

But yeah, watching different tracks...I guess I'm always looking at the scenes in a bigger picture whenever I end up watching multiple ones...it amazes rather than overwhelms me how things changed, how characters transitioned, all the different dialogues, how they became significant afterwards or meant so much in the moment only to be proved afterwards, all the connections, throwbacks, etc. etc.

Butttt, that is besides the point for this thread, na? You should be able to say at least one or two scenes off the top of your head which impressed you so much that they stick out in memory! :P
