You guessed right. This is the operation room for today's episode, so if you have a problem with analysis on LTL episodes, this post is not for you and I suggest that you do not read any further - or you most likely will be so annoyed that you'll throw chappals at me.
πŸ˜ƒ
Daring to critisize LTL episodes is like dissecting a frog. Few are interested and the frog dies of it.
πŸ˜†
Yet, I've always liked challenges and starting thought-provoking threads, so really. I'm gonna just go ahead and dissect this episode, using the pre-January standard of LTL as my old measuring tool. Heh. To be honest, pre-January, I never felt the need to dissect any LTL episode. To me, the episodes were perfect - even with their silly bloopers once in a while. But then the people behind January-February episodes decided to be careless and, well, not LTL-ish in their ways, and that has given me every reason to operate on their execution of each episode.
SO. Let's start, shall we?
Pros in today's episode:
1) The scenes between Mahadev and Dutta. Mujhe Jagtap dada ki yaad agayi. Truly, I loved their chemistry. Mahadev reminded me of a kind of big brother to Dutta, giving him a kind of masculine support, strength. No pityful stares and "look out, watch your step, careful" comments, but he just took Dutta's arm and led him to his seat. Their moment was awesome. There was this sense of understanding - man to man. Loved that. Want them to explore it some more. Honestly, I think that Mahadev can give Dutta something that Naku can't. Just like Jagtap did (he opened Dutta's eyes).
2) Mishal, Mishal, Mishal. Even with the limited camera focus on him, he stole the show. My eyes were glued to him, watching for his changing expression in every scene (although, my eyes did begin to water at one point, because I had to zoom in on his face to catch his expression in, like, every scene πŸ˜† Normally yeh camera ka job hota hai πŸ˜†)
3) The store room scene with AS and co. Wow. I've missed them a lot. I simply loved the whole scene with them, that they stayed together in that room - not because they had to (since all the guards, except two apparently, have abandoned PN), but because they felt safe in there, sticking together in one place, holding the family together. No one is alone. I loved the atmosphere. It was tragic, yet full of hope. They're hanging on beautifully. But I want to see Baji take more control.
4) I don't know about you guys, but I am loving the brainwashing that Kala's trying with Seema. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Seema isn't going to fall for it, but she might pretend. If she's smart. That's having really high hopes for someone like her, isn't it? πŸ˜†
5) For three and a half second, the camera zoomed in on Dutta's face before shifting to PN πŸ˜²πŸ˜† I was so overjoyed that I went: "OH LOOK. DUTTA." πŸ˜†
6) CRAPOLA BAR. How could I forget! One more thing I loved was Madhu in the store room scene. When AS fed her, she took her hand and kissed it and the gesture and her expression was just WOW. Made me mentally complain about why they didn't explore her character and relationship with other characters some more πŸ˜• She has something that comes across as natural and earnest.
Cons, cons, cons, peeps:
1) Call me paranoid. Call me mentally imbalanced. Call my speculations "conspiracy theories", but I'll still stick to them like Chipkali Seema. I wager that for the people working on LTL, it has become a race against time. They're filming fast, with one camera only (which is why we don't get the spontaneous/subtle expressions of characters' reactions to each other). In fact, either they've cut down on their budget - LOL - or they're simply just wanting the episodes done and over with. I mean, the last time I saw LTL shot this cheap was... never πŸ˜† There's only, like, two camera angles all the time, no focus, no time to stretch a scene with conversation and expressions, just a lot of jumping around from shot to shot πŸ˜† I've reached the point where it makes me laugh, not cry anymore 😳
2) Can't say this enough. Dutta, little man, is back in the background πŸ˜• Hopefully, he'll get a fair conclusion to his character, because I'm sensing it's near 🀒 (One thing I noticed about earlier episodes of LTL is that the former directors simply LOVED Mishal's acting. They always shot him from all kinds of angles, capturing every one of his subtle moves and expressions).
3) Mishal looks sad. Whether it's because he's supposed to be all sad, or whether it's a mix of his own situation and thus has been transferred to his character - I do not know. But even in the past when Dutta was depressed, there was a liveliness to the atmosphere surrounding his character, dynamics, power. Now, it's all just... blurh. Sad. Like people not caring to shoot properly and put actual life into directing the episodes and such has just sucked the power out of each episode. All that's keeping it together is the characters (read: DUTTA πŸ˜†).
Oh well. All good things come to an end, I guess. Done dissecting *ducks as the chappals come flying* 😳

To begin with i appreciaate such a wonderful post ....
Its like a long time since this forum okay had such a wonderful and sensitive post ......
not that me complaining
okay so back to the dissection:
I really aprreciated Madhu's gesture today wonderful and Ely i ditto on ur opinion i too wish that the CVs could give us a lil more insight to the character
As for Seema falling for that brainwash ... well u never know with women ... but Seema is afterall the woman of the world now ... she would know wrong from right or thats what we expect her to be ..... and hence i think she would pretend to be in league with Kala ... after all Suds stupidity should come in handy for Seema ... inspite of this if she behaves like the old vamps of the Kekta shows then .... well ... it woukd be plain Kektaish
As for Mishal looking sad ... I have always considered him as an actor par beyond excellence ...... he has given LTL the stepping stone from where shows henceforth might learn ....... his sad disposition is quite heart wrenching ..... but I could just hope that it is for the sake of the screenplay, i do not think Mishal is shallow to let his personal whereabouts bother his profession ..... he loves what he does and he does it well ..... if i am not mistaken the energy that you Ely, see lacking around him is prominant in the precap scene where he consoles rather promises Naku that he would rule over Patilwadi once again and this tym he wont be alone ........ it was like the low grumble of a lion ...... i am sure his disposition is fr the sake of screenplay after all he is helpless in more than one way possible ... did u see the hope reflected in his eyes when he touched the box of medicine that Mahadev got for him??????
okay now for one very important part of todays epi that made me really apprehensive and later laugh out my guts:
Remember when Mahadev and Sundari were leaving, they looked behind at them ? and the camera zoomed in at the stone on which Naku wrote "Shiv" for an instance i was afraid that the CVs would turn LTL from a drama of a regular life to a mytholigical God believing melodrama like all of a sudden Mahadev would morph himself into real Shivji avatar and Sundari into parvati LOL🀣
thank god that the CVs saved ussheeeessshhhh

Omigod, dear πŸ˜† That part about Mahadev and Sundari turning into real gods and all had me 🀣🀣🀣🀣
Thank you for supporting this thread πŸ€—I tend to make myself very unpopular whenever I dissect an episode of LTL πŸ˜† Good to know that you don't have chappals in your hands aiming at me πŸ˜†
ON TO YOUR AWESOME COMMENT:

YES. That is exactly what I wish, too 😳

Lol πŸ˜† Agreed.

I hope that you're right, dear. That it's just for the screenplay. I guess that I was just thinking that despite being a thorough professional, Mishal is also human. Pressure and stress in real life can influence you on your working place, I guess. But I'd like to believe that Mishal is figuring things out and that it's all just acting 😊
did u see the hope reflected in his eyes when he touched the box of medicine that Mahadev got for him??????
YES. I DID. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL πŸ˜³πŸ˜ƒ I wanted a slow close-up of his face just then! Of course I didn't get it, but Mishal's so brilliant that even those two seconds were enough to show his emotions.
