Due to the depressed mode of my train, I'd been skipping two whole episodes - that is, until this forum exploded in cheers yesterday at the potential return of our very own Dutta *drools*
Moving on.
Toh phir aaj Seema ka analysis banta hai na? She's been present in the past two episodes, and not only that - she saved our D once again, and even took care of Naku. She went to the market to buy food for our guests, risked her life by almost being caught by Scowl (Suds, usually he always grins, but recently uske chehre se khushi ki emotion hi ghaib hai, the Scowl is back), then she hid D in her store room (although he got PMS at her for that, but the thought still counts), and she even helped him practice with knives (I'm no Naku either, had I been Seema, I would've put the knife on the nearest table and run.)
Following D's training, I caught up with Seema in the kitchen. She was making chocolate cake for our D as a late Valentine's surprise (himmat toh dekho iski, the man has knives and she dares to give him cake).
Me: Hello, Seema ji. How's your ear?
Seema: Thank God, it's fine. I thought that I was going to lose it. I still can't believe that he threw the knife at me.
Me: Well, he only throws at his enemies.
Seema: But then he apologized so sweetly and I know that he didn't mean me harm. He needed my help and I'm going to give it to him.
Me: Would you still give it if you'd lost an ear?
Seema: He's so impressive with weapons, isn't he?
Me: ... Seema?
Seema: He's changed. He used to be such a boy once upon a time, but today I saw... a man.
Me: Moving on before this entire forum hunts you down and beats you with chappals. So tell us, what's the secret behind your tacky bl- I mean, your shiny blouses. Pooja wants to know.
Seema: These are my signature blouses. They're this shiny, because everyone has to know that I'm a kothewali. Identity is important.
Me: Do you know the name of your friend who's sleeping in at your house?
Seema: ...
Me: The girl that you met at the mandir. You know her name?
Seema: Um...
Me: Accha chor. A lot of people (cough*Srush*cough) are upset about D touching your shoulder, and you sticking to him like glue. They've nicknamed you Chipku. How does that make you feel?
Seema: Terrible. I'm only trying to help him, to care for him. If anyone else were in my place, had been through what I've been through, they would care for him, too. It's a part of my redemption, but it's also a part of my own wishes. I want to help him. I want to care for him. I haven't seen him in so many years. Last I saw him, I treated him like dirt. I want to show him, prove to him, that I've changed - and then maybe he'll forgive me and give me another chance.
Me: Well, he does speak to you in a nice way now. That's progress.
Seema: Yes. Now my hopes are higher than ever.
Me: Thank you for your time today, Seema. I hope the sweet forum lovelies got some answers to their questions. If it's of any comfort, Zuby is beginning to like you somewhat.
Seema: Really? Thank you, Zuby. I really am trying.
Me: Word of advice, next time your friend wakes, ask her about her husband's name. Food for thought.
