Thanks for sharing, Zuby.
Truly, Kala is the most complex villain that I've ever stumbled upon. She cannot be compared to any other. Her sweet voice, her innocently beautiful face, her graceful manners, and then that twisted mind. To this day, I cannot understand her actions.
First, I thought that she wanted to remove any woman from Dutta's life, because she was scared of being replaced - I called that obsessive sisterly love. Then I thought that she wanted to hurt him, because of what his father did to her father. She killed his father, but even that didn't quench her thirst for revenge. It only got worse, because killing him didn't make her feel any better, any less bitter. So she went full-on for Dutta himself and tried to kill him.
Now I don't think that she loves him at all. If anything, she's a confused, bitter little girl who experienced something traumatic and never got over it. With time, it only ate away at her - especially seeing the child of her father's killer be given the mother's love that was once bestowed upon her - and eventually, she came to hate that child. Even now, when she believes him to be dead, when she believes that she has killed Dutta, her thirst hasn't been quenched. She's just as restless, just as angry and bitter, just as hateful.
In the end, I don't think anything can change her or heal her. It's too late. And actually, despite how psychotic she can be, it's kind of sad. The few moments in which I've seen her weak, I've been able to understand her pain and feel sorry for her (a little). Call me twisted 😃
