Lovely post again, Kavita!

For me, the best scene in Friday's episode was the one where Dutta walks to Naku like he's been possessed. And the scene that came after that.....bahut dard hoga...seh nahi paaogi and the way Naku found Dutta's hand and held on to it in pain, and AND how his fingers closed around hers!!! Sigh.

It was when I watched the episode for the third time that I really watched the drunken Dutta scene. I think I mentioned this in one of my earlier posts. That Dutta has only started realizing that the girl in front of him is the very same girl he fell in love with. The exact moment was the one where she got shot. That one moment, Dutta remembered every incident where Naku had ever saved him. And that is when he realized that this girl, who'd again saved his life, is his Naku.

Dutta, as we all know, makes rational decisions when he is drunk(His first marriage to Naku is the best example😆) And this time around, he's atleast trying to give her a chance. Weighing everything, every thing he has seen and everything she has ever done for him. I admire Dutta for this. Now it is not going to matter what AS or Kala or anyone else says. He is the one who has to decide now. His heart has already made the decision, all his conflict is because he is not ready to give in, yet.

@DancingDoll

Kavita, As I have said before, You are one of the few writers whose work, I just love to read and cherish every single minute! When I see your posts, my hands automatically click on them....I read each and every word, savour it and relish it!
You have said it all and for the first time, I have nothing more to add, explain or explore....
Every point of ponder hits the bull's eye and I havent watched Friday's episode and as usual was just snooping around and Bingo...I see Liz and your post yet again....and then I settled myself in your posts, and watched the Friday episode unfold in front of me!!....I am sure, you have done total justice to the episode and the reminiscenes on Friday would have been as profound as you have explained!!
Thanks for making me enjoy the beauty of unseen LTL episode and still feel connected!!!
Lots of Love
DD
Thanks to you DD.
I am honoured, really! It may sound conceited on my part but coming from somebody who may well be regarded as one of the high priestesses of the LTL forrum, it does give me the added zeal to carry on. This is, actually, the first fiction forum that I joined as I found that there were too many around who do not really deserve the attention they sometimes get for reasons that I don't need to get into. LTL was different as it has done well by remaining a fairy tale that reminds and compels us to look at love in a totally different perspective.
I guess that lots of it also boils down to the fact that I have like so many on the forum become one of the addicts of Dutta or to be more truthful to myself, to MR.....God bless him and may he carry on transporting us to the land of dreams everyday. Were it not for him and his seemingly singular absorption of the essence of the story and its projection, I would have never been hooked so irrevocably.
My non-Hindi speaking friends do not understand this need to rush back to the LTL forum everytime, sometimes in the middle of something absolutely essential and I showed them a few clips and the poor souls have been trying to catch up with the story as they do not understand why so much is being made out of a DDG guy falling for a dark-skinned girl as it is common place in UK and some other parts of the world now. I have, actually, asked for trouble as they keep coming back for explanations. It is a pity, the production house or Colors have not looked into proper translations of the dialogues. It would be an added boon for a landmark show on Indian TV.
Keep reading....Dutta/MR wont stop inspiring me for quite a while yet. I hope
Luv

@KavitaDR - I actually sent an e-mail request a while back to Colors Channel for the English translation to be added to LTL as StarPlus do have English translation. Did not hear back from them though so many of us non-hindi speaking LTL forum members rely on all the wonderul and patient hindi/urdu speaking LTL forum member for any translation they put on the posts(though I can tell it is not all accurate at time). Thanks for mentioning this in your response to DD as she has helped me in the past with PM translations.

@ Lizdarcy
Hey Liz.
Sorry, i could not get back earlier....What to do my Sunday obligations have seriously hampered my regular forays to the forum!!! I cant dare call it bad time management but the mundane things in life demand our attention too.
Anyways to come back to your post, yes, the OT scene was by no means less than earth-shattering for both Dutta and Nakusha as it symbolised all that we have been advocating all along for weeks now about that certain union of two erring souls. Defying all emotions, time froze. And then Dutta took us all to his own personal heaven/hell with his introspection which I am convinced should set the pace for development, scriptwise, for LTL.
I cried and just could not take my eyes off Dutta. His eyes may have been glazed by the alcohol or whatever he was imbibing at that time but he was not confused anymore. At least that is my personal take. i thought of Kaifi Azmi's poem looking at Dutta's eyes lost, tearless but yet conveying the searing pain ripping though his soul all through that shot and they go as follows:

"jaane kya dhoondhti rehti haiye aankhe mujh mein
raakh ke dher mein shola hai na chingaari hai

ab na wo pyaar na us pyaar ki yaaden baaki
aag yoon
dil mein lagikuchh na raha
kuchh na bacha

jis ki tasveer nigaahon mein liye baithi ho
main wo dildaar nahi us ki hoon
khamosh chita

jaane kya dhoondhti rehti haiye aankhe mujh mein
raakh ke dher meinshola hai na chingaari hai

zindagi has ke guzarti tobahut achha tha
khair has ke na sahiro ke guzar jaayegi

raakh barbad muhabbat ki bacha rakhi hai
baar baar is ko jo chheda to bikhar jaayegi

jaane kya dhoondhti rehti haiye aankhe mujh mein
raakh ke dher meinshola hai na chingaari hai

aarzoo zurm wafa zurm tamanna hai gunaah
ye wo duniya hai jahaan pyaar nahi ho sakta

kaise bazar ka dastoor tumhe samjhaun
bik gaya jo wo khareedar nahi ho sakta

jaane kya dhoondhti rehti haiye aankhe mujh mein
raakh ke dher mein shola hai na chingaari hai"

The song is from Shola and Shabnam and you can find it on YT. Watch it it suits Dutta to a T. And let me know whether you concur with it. 😊
We seem to be increasingly referred together these days and this probably confirms our crazy status on the LTL forum right now!!!😆😆

@Kavita DR

What can I say ... u r awesome.. ur pshycoanalysis is in depth and bang on! Ur analysis make me connected to Dutta Bahu's character even more! And Kudos to Mishal Raheja... it seems that he has also analysied Dutta's character to the core and that is why he's always able to bring deep meaning to every little gesture of his... seriously no other actor like him in TV today!!
Thank you!
Shalkanwar....Is this just a username or your name. Its beautiful and never heard it before. Yes, you are right, there are very few actors at this moment who can really match up to MR's standard, The success of the show should actually be credited to a great extent to him as he does seem to immerse himself in the character to bring out nuances that may very well go un-noticed were he not so expressive. A real gift......Maahi, actually, highlighted this disciplined and dedicated approach of MR in a Tellychakkar interview in July just before the JMM episode. I am sure you may have watched it. If not go watch it on YT and you also get to see tthe comfort level between this screen couple.
Take care and hope to see you on another thread of mine soon.

@Jyoe

Hey Jyoe,

Apologies. I left it so late to come back to your post. Sundays are difficult but I did want to take up the comments you made at leisure.

Firstly, CVs' attempt to show Dutta coming full circle and, silently acknowledging the Koyal and Gori Naku as one. The realisation has definitely dawned on him as to his perception of both avatars of Nakusha, hence the way he exhorts his frustration about what could be termed as his "personal almost childish No" in the face of an irrevocable truth. The problem according to me is Dutta's perception of truth in relation to what is right or wrong for him. The same applies to his perception of love which should be absolutely devoid of any pretence or grey element.

This gives rise to an interesting paradox here. Dutta, despite the fact that he has "sinned" by choosing to walk on the wrong side of the law has always been a model of moral rectitude and he had seen/fallen in love with the same quality in the Koyal Nakusha hence the ease with which he accepted her as a friend/confidante. And this is where the test of fire resides for the fair Nakusha. She erred by choosing to give in to the elders' pressure and went through the gimmick that was Kala's trap. She never stopped to think about Dutta's virtually impregnable resolve when it comes to reality or rather his perception of truth and love and his expectations from someone that he has chosen to be his companion for life by defying all odds, himself, the family and the society at large. Nakusha will have trouble proving that she can be that model of moral rectitude, the more so because Dutta has not even given her the opportunity to explain herself yet. This may happen this week, next week.....who knows.

As far as rehashing the whole betrayal/punishment/hurt angst sequence post FR, I would argue that it is vital that Dutta comes to terms with the fact that truth is not always straightforward but that it has subliminal messages that all sensible human beings should learn to detect and analyse. He has to snap out of his lethargy when it comes to look at his surroundings and take notice of all the sleazy stuff happening right under his nose. This task had to be entrusted to Nakusha, the wife who will have to tread the path of fire to gain her husband's trust and concurrently save and protect Dutta from all the dangers lurking within PN and his outer world. To sum it up Nakusha will have to purge herself and her husband in the process. The Dutta we know, will never be able to do that by himself.

CVs' were never going to gift us the rekindled TASHA romance so easily. That would just end the show and we do not want that. WE will have to be patient. 😳
