Rest of the lyrics....This is one of the most beautiful part of this sufi poetry...........some people say its origin is from Sheikh baba fareed ........is mein ishq haqeeqi ( meaning love for Allah/God) and is mein ishq mijaazi ( meaning love for human) dono ka ansar mujood hai. hope I have helped u understand it..........

Here's the full translation, people :-)

Kaga sub tan khaiyyo/ Crow, you might feed on my entire body which is same as that of a dead? man

Mera chun chun khaiyyo maans/ Eat all this flesh

Toh naina mat khaiyyo/ But please do not eat my eyes

Mohe piya Milan ki aas/ Because I expect to see my beloved

Ni mai Jaana/ I am leaving

Jaana Jogi de naal/ I shall renunciate from this world like the Jogi.

---------------------------

Aaj Lok Makkay nu Jandey / Today people will go to the holy shrine of Mecca(for Hajj)

Mai Jaana Takht Hajarey / I shall go to the town of Takht Hazara - in Pakistan where Ranjha was born

Jith Val Yaara / Where there is my accomplice Ranjha

Uthey val Kaaba / There lies my place of worship.

Tu Khol kitaba Chahey / You might open your book if you want.

The lyrics are authentic Sufi. I hope you guys have found the translation helpful!

In short it means people go to holy shrine of Mecca to worship Allah, and here Heer talks about her love for Ranjha and how she worship his love..........and therefore shall visit Takht Hazara where Ranjha resided....

Heer says " crow you can eat my body parts n flesh but donot eat my eyes I expect to see ranjha my beloved before I die as jogi in this world "

I tell you Kailash has sung this song with his soul.........I love singers who touch my soul.......like kailash, nusrat fateh ali kha, abida parveen..........

Thanks SO much for the translation Anuuu!! 🤗 Really, helps a lot! The last verse toh I could understand since I've heard it often enough, and even the "jaana jogi de naal" I could get, but that kaaga bit toh totally stumped me. 😆

Now that I know what the entire song means, I love it even more! 😍 SUCH an apt song for DN esp. during this scene! I just LOVE how the LTL creatives put actual thought into their work. I appreciate that so much, really.

But really that crow, and eyes bit totally fits. Esp. the way Naku was looking at Dutta when he finally arrived next to her. Totally fitting lyrics for the way Naku looks at Dutta there. And when he finally holds her hand in return also. He just always reassures that faith she has in him, which is what makes her 'see' him the way only she does. She can see through his soul and believes in the goodness that resides in it, and Dutta too continues to strengthen her faith in him. Which is what strengthens HIS faith in her also, keeping their love alive, keeping them connected always.

And that last verse too totally fits with the way these two were holding on to each other in this scene. It's like they both became one almost. They were being strong for each other, despite their pain. They were only thinking of each other. Naku thinking of being strong for Dutta's sakes and Dutta thinking of Naku's pain. They were like feeling for each other in this scene, in a sense totally belonging to each other.

Also, like that one flashback of Dutta's where he remembers Naku talking about love. And how this love is strong enough to overcome any pain. It makes you forget your past bitterness and troubles. Which is kind of what this scene was showing too na? 😍

Thanks again for the translation yaar! 🤗 I couldn't help blabbering some more about this awesome scene after you provided those! 😆

Thanks a lot for the translation😊 I love sufi numbers...and this one has always been one of my favorites! Though I couldn't get all the lyrics, the pathos and the sense of longing in the song never failed to touch me! Now that I know the meaning of the song fully, it's making me quite emotional! Perfect song for TaSha!
