Reality dawns on Nakku as she realises who exactly the girl is. Its Roshni, her sister's best friend! Her fair skin had gone pale, her curvy body as skinny as a pole, her hair longer than her arms, she was beautiful, but frail and weak. Roshni's eyes went to the table, and narrowed as she saw something moving around. There was someone there! She cautiously got up and tried to nonchalantly go to the table and sit beside it. She peered behind it to find a woman, with a familiar face staring at her with tears in her eyes.

"Roshni taayi?"

"Naku?"

"Shhh... someone will find me"

"What are you doing here?"

"Woh..woh Morey got me, I dont know, I fell asleep"

"Oh, so now you are also caught in this trap"

"No! I will escape"

"You can try if you want to, but I remember that I warned you not to. The men here are heartless"

"But I have to try!"

"Okay! You can dig your own grave if you want to, its not my business"

"Roshni Taayi please help me," Nakku pleaded. Roshni's eyes widened in fear.

"Me? No way!"

"Please, if not for me look at those little girls, its their time to play and have fun, not all this" Nakku spat in disgust. Roshni seemed to consider this.

"Theek hai, I will show you how to escape and I will try to distract everyone else, but that is all that I will do"

"Thanks, taayi, that is all I wanted"

"Okay then lets go,"

"Um, taayi.."

"Yes?"

"Where is Roopa tayi? (That was her name right?)

"I thought you were going to ask. But it is better you don't know"

"Tell me, please"

"She's a lucky b*tch, she scored a job as a maid at some prince's palace in Saudi Arabia for two years. They are brutal, but atleast they prefer uncircumcised women and buy expensive gifts if they prefer the errmm.. talents of a specific slave." (I've read a similar, true story except for the uncircumcised part.)

Nakku gasped and started crying.

"My sister, my poor sister, how can you say she is lucky?"

"Luckier than the rest of us I must say Nakku, after her two year contract, she will be free"

"Will she come back to us?"

"I hope so, but I wonder if she will be able to face you guys after all that she has been through. Now lets go before they take the girls away and discover that you are gone."

Nakku and Roshni waited for the guard to go to the opposite side of the room, and sneaked out to a small shed. There was a window, which opened out to a forest.

"Go get the girls!" Nakku whispered. Roshni sneaked back in and brought a troop of about 10 girls, all under the age of 18. Roshni smiled and wished Nakku good luck and rushed back to the room before they were discovered.. Nakku helped each of the girls out of the window. Just as the last one hopped out and was giving her hand to Nakku so she could climb through, A hand grabbed Nakku. She screamed and yelled to the children to run away. Morey turned his head towards the window, but all of the girls had ran away so he turned his attention back to Nakku.

"I won't let you run away, darling."

"Creep, let go of my hand!"

"No, I wont. What will you do?" Morey tried to snatch Nakku's dupatta but she squirmed out of his grasp and ran to the corner of the room. The door was locked. She was trapped. She faced Morey, begging him to let her go.

"Ok fine I will, after obtaining money from your husband and spending some time with you, I will let you go"

"No!" Nakku shrieked. Morey grabbed Nakkus hand and tried to kiss her, but she backed off. He held her by her shoulder,so hard that part of the delicate fabric of her kurta, ripped and came into his hands. He tried to rip off Nakku's clothes but Nakusha was strong enough to let him only get a few scraps. Morey, enraged, tried to slap Nakku, but just then he got punched and pushed onto the floor by someone. It was Roshni! She grabbed an injection and stabbed it into Morey's arm. "It is usually used for girls that are too voilent," she explained. She told Nakku to hurry and run away. Nakku asked her to come along with her but she politely refused. "Who is going to pay for my mother's operation if I dont work?"

"Saab will"

"No Nakku, I am sorry but I will not take money from anyone"

"At this expense? Your ego is more important than your izzat?"

"Nakku I can't, I just can't I am too scared Okay? Just leave me alone and go! I will be fine and take care of yourself" Nakku tried to protest but Roshni wouldn't hear it. Nakku stubbornly bid farewell to Roshni and climbed out of the window and ran away.

Dutta was furious at himself for letting Nakku go."Where could she be? How was she?" he wondered, banging his hand on the horn because some stupid driver was going too slow. He drived onto a lonely road, surrounded by forest. A group of girls hesitantly came running out, trying to make as less noise as ten girls could possibly make. He stopped his car and stepped out. The girls became scared and tried to run back into the forest.

"Don't be scared, I wont harm you"

One girl, the eldest, turned around to face Dutta. "What do you want, sir?"

"Have you seen this girl?" he asked, showing them the picture of fair Nakku.

The girl consulted the other girls in a language Dutta didn't understand.

"Yes"

"Where is she? Can you tell me?"

"Um.. she saved us from that place but.."

"But what? and what horrible place?" Dutta was becoming more and more anxious.

"They sell us like we are cattle" One little girl sobbed, "She was helping us escape and then that horrible man stopped her"

Just then Bajji and the bodyguards appeared. Dutta instructed them to take care of the girls while he looked for Nakku. Nakku emerged from the forest gasping for breath. Her eyes met Dutta's and she burst out crying. She ran with all of the energy left in her, and collapsed into Dutta's arms.

Everyone in PN was waiting for Dutta's return. Madhu, AS and Babi were praying to Bappa while Kala and her sisters were plotting something new in their room. "Bhao has come! Bhao has come!" a servant shouted, causing everyone to rush to the entrance of PN. Dutta entered, with an unconscious Nakku in his arms. His coat was wrapped around Nakku and she held onto it as tight as she could. Dutta took Nakku to his room and put her down on his bed. He made her comfortable with pillows around her and a warm blanket on top of her. Bajji told the PN wasis what had happened , as Dutta hadn't spoken a word to them in his worry for Nakku.

Nakku was pedaling on a cycle, and her sister Roopa was cycling beside her. "Hurry up Nakku, we have to return these cycles to Raju, he told us to return them before sunset." "Who cares about Raju?", Nakku replied, she was having a fun time riding her bike. "I am, if Raju is angry at me, then how will he gift me a dress to wear for Diwali" her sister mumbled. "What? Taayi, your crazy!" Nakku pedaled harder and harder. She was cycling uphill, and her sister was gone. Nakku's legs were hurting but she still rode as fast as she could, for she had discovered that Morey was trying to get her. She was panting and her legs felt like stone, but she endured it all and rode. She saw Dutta! She rode towards him, and just as she was about to touch him, he vanished. She screamed "Saab!" until she found him. Again, he disappeared as soon as she was within touching distance. Morey was gaining in on her and she tried to turn right, into a small alleyway, but failed. Her turn was too sharp, she fell. Morey was coming closer and closer.................

Dutta came out of the shower rubbing his head with the towel to dry his hair. He was about to take out a kurta for him to wear, but he noticed Nakku sweating and writhing about on the bed. He went to her, and sat beside her. He caressed her face and bent down to kiss her cheek. Nakku got up with a jolt, screaming "Noooo!"

Dutta was stunned. He leaped back and said, "Sorry, I thought that, I mean..."

"Saab!" Nakku sighed in relief and went to hug him. Dutta placed his arms around her comfortingly.

"What happened?"

"That morey was chasing me saab, I was so scared"

"Shh, Morey is dead, I made sure. Bajji and the men sorted him out and took care of the girls. We even took care of that girl that helped you, what was her name? Oh yeah, Roshni"

"Saab, thank you so much"

"No, Nakku, I am sorry. You've been through so much and I didn't even respect you or trust you. I know you were wrong in hiding the truth from me but I don't want to lose you because I love you. I promise to take care of you forever"

Dutta helped Nakku to her feet and hugged her. His hands creeped onto her waist, up her back. She intertwined her fingers with his hair as he kissed her passionately.
