Dutta held a pale and bleeding Nakku in his arms. "Nakusha!" He yelled, patting her face gently, "Get up!". There was no response from her, and Dutta began to panic. "Baji! Doctor ko bulao!" Hurry!" He was screaming, frantically picking Naku up and taking her inside. The doctor and a nurse followed Baji up to Dutta's room, where Dutta held Naku, telling her to get up. His fear was scintillating from his eyes. The doctor took charge, and instructed everyone to stay out of the room but Dutta blatantly refused. Baji consoled Dutta and, with the help of the bodyguards, took him out of the room.

Her eyes began to flutter, and she took in the blurry world around her. She got up, supported by someone's helpful arms, and mumbled, "Saab". The doctor helped Nakusha to sit up and let her lean against the bed.
"Miss Nakusha"
"Where's Saab?"
"He is outside, waiting for your recovery"
"What happened to me?"
"You feel down three or four stairs, banged your head against a wall, and fell upon a huge diya stand (I don't know what its called, its that thing that Dutta was trying to light, but he couldn't, and then Nakku helped him, and she dropped colours on him, remember?). You suffered from a mild concussion, but it's all fine now, and you've got several small burns and scratches on your back, along with some other marks, but I am sure you know what they are" the doctor said, with a small, mischievous smile on her face.
Nakku blinked then stuttered,"I feel sick"
"I know, and you would, in this condition"
"Do I have any medicines?"
"The creams for the scratches and burns are here," the doctor said, pointing to two tubes lying on the bed side table, "and so anything worse doesn't develop, you have to take these medicines, I have written down when and how you take them"
"Anything for the nauseous feeling?" Nakku clutched her stomach and whimpered.
"Actually, no. There is nothing we can do to help that, it's perfectly normal"
"Huh?"
"Pregnancy mein its normal to feel nauseous, vomit, have headaches"
"KYA?"
"You are going to become a mother"
"Are you sure?"
"100% sure, beti"
"Could you please call, saab? I mean..err..Dutta..."She gulped, playing with the ring on her finger, twitching nervously at the slightest disturbance.
The doctor went outside and called Dutta in. He looked flustered and worried, his hair messed up, and dark patches under his eyes. He rushed to Nakku, embracing her, kissing her cheek.
"How are you feeling?", he asked, caressing her cheek.
"Horrible"
"Why? Do you want me to get the doctor?"
"No..."
"What happened Naku? The doctor told me that now I have to take good care of you, and let you have rest, and make sure you eat food on time. Is there something you are not telling me?"
Naku started crying in a dramatized sort of way (like a baby, like she is faking it)and hugged Dutta, "I am pregnant" she sobbed.
"What?"
"Yes, you are going to become a dad and me a mother"
"Then how is it horrible? It's the best thing in the world! OMG Naku I can't believe it! Me..me, a father? Nakusha you've given me so much happiness that...I don't know how to describe how I am feeling. I never thought that I would lead a normal, happy life, with you and now I even have a baby"
"I am happy that I am pregnant, but why so soon?"
"I know, that's bad, we won't be able to enjoy together completely anymore. But don't worry, I will think of something" Dutta winked.
"That's not what I meant! I mean, tomorrow, the rasams for our 2nd marriage is going to start, and I am already pregnant..what is everyone going to think? What will people say..what will AS say?!"
"She will be happy! Wait, I will go and tell her the good news"
"No! Don't! We...tell her after the 2nd marriage, not yet"
"Lekin Naku"
"No, please?"
"Fine..but don't put any stress on yourself"
"I won't"
"Rest"
"I don't feel tired"
"But you have to rest"
"I DON'T WANT TO!" she yelled, grumbling to herself in frustration. This stupid pregnancy thing just irritated her to the core. And Dutta laughing at her outburst didn't make things better.
"What's so funny?"
"Leela tai's mood swings weren't as bad as yours, shona"
"I am not your shona-wona" She pouted and crossed her arms, turning away from Dutta.
"Okay, sorry..er do you want anything?"
"Yes, I want...um...I want...I want to eat chocolates"
"But that isn't good for your health..."
"I WANT..." she began to yell
"Fine, fine" Dutta calmed her down and went outside, to tell the others of Naku's condition as well as get her chocolates.
