DP is like ganapat. he realize his mistake only when he got cancer. he must have searched datta finding him in a position of don and knowing that datta life is heavy with betrayal and sorrow. he know he will bring more sorrow to datta so DP wait for right time to ask forgiveness to datta, when nakku came to datta and made datta life light and bring happiness, DP come to datta for forgiveness.

if nakku can forgive ganapat (not being a good father till now)- datta can forgive DP
if nakku can forgive datta (marry her forcefully, and throwing her out of the house) - datta can forgive DP
if nakku can forgive babi (for applying snooth)- - datta can forgive DP
if nakku can forgive kala and his sis (for taunting her without a reason)- - datta can forgive DP

if datta can forgive for kala (for trying to destroy datta love)- datta can forgive DP

What has DP done as a father???
What responsibilty has he fulfilled towards his son till now???
Where has he been till now??
When Dutta became a mechanic, to be able to care of his (so called) family, where was DP?
Where was DP when Dutta needed money, and tried to sell off his watch?
Ok, even if I agree, that Dutta was noless a servant for AS, too, But where was DP? Why did he leave his son in that condition??

for all above question my only answer is DP is greedy like ganapat who doesn't care about any one except him self. he only realize his mistake when he got cancer. all he want forgiveness from datta nothing more he want.

i say, at least DP realize his mistake came back to datta fo forgiveness is good. wait and watch why CV brought DP. only for datta.😉

@bold: cant agree more on this sasha. Xactly if Nakku can forgive Ganpat, Dutta and The Evil Trio and if Dutta can forgive Kala then y cant he forgive DP. Atleast DP is genuinely sry for his mistakes unlike Kala

no man in the world is perfect. 99.9% of people is running back of money. some people like ganapat, DP and sudarsan do any thing for money. why i like nakku because the only reason is she forgive every one who ever try to destroy her life that why she so spl.

In christian prayer, we ask god to forgive our sin as we forgive our sister and brother sins.

nakku forget and forgive datta sins what she get a beautiful love. so forgetting and forgiving will bring so much good thing in life. if datta forget and forgive DP let see what he get in return. 😉

As far as, DP's gambling is concerend, he had a son, whose mother had died at child birth. He had great responsiblilty on his head. W*H was he doing drinking and gambling? Loosing money in gamble can be forgiven, gambling his son away, (without regrets) is something I don't think that can be forgiven.

SP, died b'coz he slipped in a fight saving his nephew, he was in that situation b'coz of DP. (It is not as if DP is not entirely not responsible for hid death)

And when the Mishap happened, what did he do?? Did he stay there and face the music?? No he ran way!!!! Had AS not taken care of Dutta from that point onwards, what would have happened of him??? Who would have taken care of a 3 yrs child? Perhaps the person who won him, would have taken him for his servant.

Where was he all these years?? Dutta might have needed his afther many times b'4. where was he then?? !!! And when had he repented?? When death is near?? Can a repentance of this time, be called genuine??

exactly my point....even if he was a kamina earlier he obviously kept tabs on his son's(and his vahini and nieces) life. Dutta needed him not only then as a 3 year old but also later when he was struggling to make ends meet...when things seemed so hopeless that he turned to crime. What was DP doing all this time? Prolly leading a cosy life with a second family(if news of Dutta's brother's entry is true). And now he regrets what he did becuz he is dying? Oh Pls! If he really wanted to make it up to these ppl he cud have returned much earlier when they needed a strong male presence and bread winner in their lives rather than now. then maybe these women wudnt have been so bitter and his son would have had a less tormented life.

Like many have pointed out it's not the crime itself but the repercussion of the act, which affected all of their lives forever/ Thus making the person closest to the act or indirectly related to it pay for the rest of his life bring sheer twisted pleasure.

DP can be forgiven as a human being who has erred, but as a father he has not fulfilled any of his responsibilties......he has done nothing for his child....how can he be forgiven as a father????

yes ofcourse DP did not fulfilled any of his responsibilties as a father. the good thing is he came back for forgiveness. it will be more painful for datta if he did not come back.

but DP is not her to take away datta from AS. or give him a name as datta damodar patil. he is only here for forgiveness for his sin.

till now ganapat is not being good father to nakku. so what nakku is doing any thing against him no waiting for him to change.

datta dad bring the death to SP. so kala & his sis will destroy datta life so kala is right.

except AS and datta no one in the house has right point out DP mistake. no one has a right to say he has destroyed the datta and AS life. AS has forgives DP. only datta is still out there.
