Oh. My. God.
*takes a deep breath*
I do not remember when we had an episode filled with meaningful conversations through-n-through between DIFFERENT characters and not just the same two. I mean, OMG! When I started watching this episode, I was mainly excited because Nakku had come to visit Dutta the episode before and I wanted to see how that conversation went. But with every passing scene, the episode just got better and better for me. *sigh* I am not even sure how I should set this up - if it sounds like utter gibberish, please know it's because I'm in sensory overload due to the episode.
And as always, read at your own risk! 😆
- When Dutta noticed Nakku standing in the door way and as he started walking towards her, I could see a hint of subdued anger - like he was trying to cover up his rage with composure and restraint. And honestly, that I had expected to see! What I hadn't expected to see was the simultaneous hint of pain, hurt and vulnerability. Like his composure and restraint was as much to protect Nakku from his anger, as it was to protect him from anything she might say or do next. He seemed so angry, so hurt, yet so fragile - as if all Nakku had to do was say one wrong word or portray one unexpected sentiment and he'd crumble to the floor in broken shards of glass. And HOW someone is able to be that angry and that fragile in the same frame - how someone is capable of portraying such "threat" with such vulnerability in the same instance, I don't know. If there was ever any doubt that Mishal is a man of sheer brilliance, I say that doubt should be put to rest with the opening shot of this episode! *sigh*
- As Dutta walks towards Nakku, she's being spurred on by all the words spoken to her by Baabi and Aayi Sahib. She is telling herself that she needs to talk to Dutta because this time his heart hurts. And she's reminded of Aayi Sahib's words about her son's pain and fragility. And as she stands there looking at Dutta, she finally realizes how TRUE all those words were. She now sees his pain, his anger and she now sees the damage he's suffered at her hands - albeit unintentionally. And that knocks the wind out of her - she looks everywhere but at his face, because she cannot bear to see her betrayal splashed across his face and she cannot bear to witness the effects of her words (or lack of them in this instance). *sigh*
- When Dutta stops in front of Nakku, he waits. He knows she has a reason to do what she did and say what she said - and he is willing to wait for it. Even as she tries to gather some wits about her, he tells her that he's listening. But his patience throws her off some more - and that in turn leaves him even more restless. He cannot stand there and entertain silence when there's a whirlpool of emotions going wild in his thoughts. So he walks away. He takes a seat and he speaks in as simple and as candid a sentence as possible - "Tu kuch bol nahi rahi aur meri samajh mein kuch aa nahi raha. Mere andar ka toofan barh raha hai Nakku...". And just like that, he encourages her to speak, telling her that he is willing to wait and listen to her and understand whatever her reasons are - because without her explanation, he cannot make sense of what he knows to be true and what she is doing. Even as Nakku tries to tackle with her guilt - as she tries to understand how to explain to him that she does care for him and that she didn't mean to hurt him - even as she tries to find the "right words" to help ease his pain (because saying the truth is not an option for her - to break his trust and witness his transformation is not something she can bear), he helps her on. He tells her to start form the beginning - from the very first time they met. When she trusted him, a stranger, implicitly to save her - a nobody. And how, later when he was in danger she stood by him - a stranger - and did all she could to save him, even though she was a "nobody". He wonders WHY she stood by him and then he asks her the question that he feels might help her in trying to give him an answer - "Why?". Why did she do what she did, stick by through all that trouble? Was it because she felt indebted to him? Even as he asks her that, you can see that he doesn't believe it - in fact he is almost repulsed by the idea of her feeling indebted to him. And he asks her, in an almost hopeful and challenging tone - Ya phir koi aur baat thie?! And you can see the pain in Nakku's eyes too as she realizes the whirlpool of confusion that is festering in Dutta's mind - it wasn't just his heart that she's broken - but by reacting as she did, she's made him question EVERYTHING he knows about her. And that, that breaks her heart. That's when she first realizes the real damage done the situation. *sigh*
- As Dutta goes on listing everything they shared - how he treated her like a friend and how he listened to her in every aspect of his life, how SHE took care of him and did everything she could to make life better for him - you can see he is in a comfortable, trusted and familiar place. He KNOWS Nakku - he knows that's is who she is. Someone who cares for him without any hope for return. Someone who is selfless and someone who always had his best interest at heart - even she didn't need to. And he knows that he did everything in his power to show her that he appreciated that - he didn't treat her like a servant and if she invaded his privacy, he ALLOWED her too (if that wasn't the biggest hint of appreciation from Dutta Bhao, then I don't know what was). But then, just like that, he wonder if he is wrong? If he has misread the signs AGAIN. If he was way off in his judgment of her and her intentions AGAIN. And that confusion/uncertainty is what has been pestering him since the moment Nakku ran away from him. Was he wrong? Again? Had he misjudged someone's "feelings" to be LOVE again? How could he be so wrong so many times about the same thing? And honestly, if this doesn't break someone's spirit then I don't know what does. *sigh*
- "Kya tu mera faida uthana chahti thie, ya phir koi aur baat thie!!" - Dutta... *sigh* He knows. He knows something else is up - he KNOWS! He knows that Nakku wasn't "using him". In fact the idea of suggesting that she was, send him in a fit of repulsed rage. He knows - but he wants her to say it! He just wants her to say it, damn it! Just say what he knows to be true - what he knows SHE knows to be true! SAY IT! *sigh* Lol, if I sound like a lunatic here, it's because I can feel his emotional frustration, just as much as I can feel hers. If he is certain that there are other reasons that she isn't sharing with him, then she is certain that sharing everything with him will not be helpful to him - *sigh* HOW do you get out of this dead lock. It's like both of them are pushing at the same thing from different sides, with equal strength and force - HOW is it supposed to move in either direction? *sigh* Being in a tug of war with my emotions is not a very healthy place for me.. *sigh*
- Maybe it's just me, but when Dutta tells Nakku that her "achai" was the fact that she wasn't beautiful, educated or diplomatic like Supriya/Seema, did any one else finally feel that Dutta was being prejudiced towards Nakku. No, no.. I am not saying that he is wrong - given the circumstances and his past experiences, I would not have expected anything else from him! But that doesn't mean it's fair, does it? To tell Nakku that her "achai" was in part because of her "ugliness"? And then we expect her to tell him the truth about her face? He has already put her in the "not nice" people's list - if she isn't ugly, she cannot be a nice person. How is Nakku supposed to reconcile with that? It's like her beauty has already worked against her and once she reveals it, there is no reason for her to believe that he will listen to her or trust her. After all, her ugliness is what made her nice. I don't know if I make sense here, but what I'm trying to say is that I understand why Nakku thinks that telling him the truth will be the end all of their relationship. That one he knows, there will be nothing left to explain - that he won't even give her (or anyone else EVER) a chance after that. Because so far the beautiful people have conned him straight up - this time however a beautiful person AND an "ugly" person has conned him. So in his mind, maybe all people are horrible, regardless of their beauty. Or maybe beautiful people are just that horrible that they can go to any extent to hurt someone! *sigh* How is Nakku supposed to throw him in that pool of suspicion and hurt? To have him hate her for the rest of her life seems like a plausible alternative compared to having him hate everyone the rest of his life. *sigh* These two are going to be the end of me, I tell you! The absolute end! *sighs some more*
- When Nakku tells Dutta that she isn't worth him - that they have no social match in society, Dutta knows she's just making excuses. He knows that the reason for her refusal is something else - with every word that she speaks, Dutta begins to understand that he was off in his judgment that she was just using him (or so I thought). He now begins to realize that her refusal is not based on her lack of care for him, but instead on the fact that she deems herself unworthy of his love. *sigh* And when she offers to find him all the happiness that she can (being the Nakku that she is - always putting him before herself), he calls her on it! "Aur tu?", he asks. *sigh* I totally held my heart at that moment. He knew! And he wasn't going to let her off the hook for it. *sigh* *sigh* *sigh*
- When Nakku offers her friendship to Dutta, he tells her he doesn't want it. Because he knows she's just trying to settle for the next best thing - and he wouldn't allow that. He knows that she loves him, because that's all she's ever told him. And he knows that! There is NO doubt in that matter! So he asks her, if she loves him. That's all he needs to know. And even as Nakku tries to side step the question (because no matter how much she wants to protect him, she cannot do so at the cost of denying her love - THAT she cannot do) he doesn't let her! He wants to know that she loves him - hell, he even dares to say that she doesn't! And if she recoiled in further at this question (because there was no way she could answer it - she couldn't say "Yes" and negate her refusal but she couldn't say "No" and deny her existence too!), he pushes on further. Because if there is anything these two do perfectly, it's charge on in each other personal space without ever making it seem offensive. *sigh* *sigh* *sigh*
- Here I would also like to add, that the fact that Nakku didn't go all "stupid mahan" and say that she didn't love him was a brilliant treat for me. I HATE it when any one of the two people in a relationship decide it is okay to lie about your feelings instead of say the truth. Because it honestly does more harm than good and if you can deny your feelings that easily, then I honestly don't think you feel them in the first place. So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU CVs! Thank you! If I could hug them right now, man I so would! 😆
- In the entire conversation, Nakku let Dutta take his course - whatever he needed to say, how ever he needed to work through it. She always responded to him - she never initiated the conversation. She was there for him in whatever capacity he needed - as long as he could work out of this. Because she couldn't give him what he really wanted - she was going to be whatever else he wanted. *sigh* I think I am in love..
- I just have ONE thing to say about the Kala-Leela-Roops scene. *breaks into a dance* Finally! Finally I know! I've always wondered if Leela and Roops want to control Dutta as much as Kala does or if they just hang around for the ride - and it seems like they really just stuck around for the ride. In reality, they do care for the guy. They are willing to trick him a few times as long as they know that they'll rebound from the trickery - but if it ever seems to get too intense for him, they do not appreciate it. They dislike it. But as far as Kala's concerned, she's in it just for the power and the control. She will use him and trick him as much or as little as the situation demands as long as she can keep him under her wing and ensure her reign at home. Because EVERYONE cares for Dutta - and if Dutta listens to her, then everyone listens to her. Even as Leela and Roops seemed worried about Dutta's loneliness and pain, she dismissed it as a needed side effect before he resigned himself to her and allowed her to make all his decisions - because if she could make all his decisions then she could make decisions for everyone in the house, as a result. She is really just in it for the power - his pain, his happiness or his problems don't matter to her unless she can use them as a pawn in her quest for power. *sigh* And I know we all hate her for it - I'd hate her for it too. But instead I'm surprised by how she does not care - she doesn't care for his pain if it helps her get what she wants just as she doesn't care for his happiness as long as it doesn't come in the way of what she wants. Her goal isn't to hurt him - him getting hurt is just a necessary by-product in her drive for power. At least.. Umm.. That's what I feel.. *looks around nervously* 😆😆
- Okay. I am absolutely not going to lie - I was totally blown away by Baji-Nakku conversation! Like SERIOUSLY! I had expected Baji to get upset at Nakku - to blame her for Dutta's pain. But instead, he was sad for her as much as he was sad for Dutta. *sigh* He tries to figure out what went wrong, he tries to ask her why (although he never really spells it out). But he never doubts her love for Dutta - he KNOWS she loves him! He tells her that. And he wonders why Nakku she refused - because her presence made Dutta a better man, gave Dutta the faith and the "understanding" Dutta needed to reconcile with his life and his troubles. And now, if Nakku walks away from Dutta, telling him that everything he thought about her was a mistake, Dutta won't know how to deal with it. And that impending threat of losing Dutta again scares the heck out of Baji! *sigh* He just wants to know what's wrong - he just wants to know it can be fixed. *sigh*
- You know, Kala's interaction with Leela/Roops and later with Aayi Sahib has made be understand one thing. Kala's losing - and as she loses, she's clutching at anything she can get her hands on. Kala's has tasted defeat first and that scared the living daylights out of her - so now, she is taking any small victory as a sign of her being BACK on top! She assumes that Nakku rejected Dutta because of her "poverty" - if it were the old Kala, she'd have wondered WHY Nakku rejected Dutta, instead of assume that it was her doing entirely. And she wouldn't have lashed out at Aayi Sahib either - the fact that both Leela and Roops had refused to "celebrate" with her earlier had left Kala a little bothered. But when she not walks in on Aayi Sahib praying for Nakku's reconciliation with Dutta, she tries to "work her magic" on the situation - sort of her assure herself that she's still in control. Only this time, when Aayi Sahib makes it a little challenging for her by telling her that Nakku's presence was Dutta's happiness, it throws Kala off - while normally she's circumvent the situation with poise and sharp wits, this time she falls in a frenzy of worry. And it was as she was feeling that wave of panic that she slipped - for the first time, she pits herself and her happiness against Dutta's instead of telling everyone that her happiness was in what made Dutta happy (like she normally did). Because this is the first time that she sees everyone siding with Dutta and his (in her opinion) wrong decision than with her, no matter what she tries! *sigh* She feels her control slip and she falters - she asks Aayi Sahib to chose between her and Dutta, knowing full well that Dutta rules everyone's heart. Honestly, if I ever had any doubts about her being "in love" with Dutta, they were wiped clean here. She doesn't stick around him because she loves him - she does so because she knows his approval grants her everyone's approval and power over him means that she hold the reigns to the house. At least, in my opinion.
- LMAO! Did anyone else wonder how Nakku got out on the middle of the street all of a sudden? I mean the last we saw of her was that she was sitting in front of her Bappa, looking for guidance. But come morning, she's wandering around in the middle of the street? LOL! Maybe Bappa helped her with teleporting herself! 🤣
- *gasps for air* Excuse me while I die laughing! The truck driver sees Nakku walk in the middle of the street but he feels it more useful to honk the horn instead of swerve to the side a little? In fact he waits until a car five times Nakku's size block his way before he swerves?!?! Bwaaahahahhahaha!! 🤣 Wouldn't it have been easier to just to swerve past a small Nakku instead of the big car? 🤣 Oh what do I know! Maybe the special car gave his trucks special powers! 🤣🤣🤣
- Bwaahahahahhahahaha! 🤣 Did anyone else notice the camera literally stripping Salman Khan on screen?! I mean WHY would someone focus on his belt buckle with such speed!? One minute we are slowly trickling up his pants and the next *wham* we're in his belt buckle! 🤣 And then they lingered on his arms and chest!? LMAO! Give the poor guy a break! Har police waley ko aisey hi introduce karo gai kya? 🤣 Imagine this introduction for Malmal More.. *thinks* *dies laughing* 🤣
- Alright, before I get to Salman Khan I have to say I totally understand why Nakku unleashed her secret on a stranger. She's been holding this secret in for months now - and she's just had the worst night of her life. She's hurt the man she loves, made him question her love and his ability to judge people. She's made him doubt and thrown him in a vortex of confusion. And she has been unable to talk about this with anyone. She can't talk to Babi because Babi is festering in her own guilt and anyone else at the Patil Mansion is just not an option. So when a stranger offers to listen, she grasps at the opportunity. And honestly, I feel she was saying it out loud as much for her benefit as she was for his. She needed to say it out loud, hear it and talk about to make sense of it. And I for one totally understand that sentiment (if this TIN is any indication.. 🤣).
- LMAO! Okay, I officially love Robinhood Pandey! 🤣 I love he is all incredulous when Nakku tells him that both she and the guy love each other - "Toh phir samasya kya hai?!", he says.. 🤣🤣 I love how he was so animated throughout! So logical! While Dutta's repulsion to beauty makes sense to us - after seeing everything he's been through - to a simple bystander Dutta seems senile! I mean who hates pretty people! 🤣🤣 I love this guy! And even though he seemed a bit detached, I felt that was just what Nakku needed. Someone who was objective and was NOT affected by her lie. Someone who could listen to her lie and treat it with just as much indifference as they would if she's told them that her secret was that she liked the color yellow instead of orange. She needed someone to treat her lie as something petty - to look past the lie and treat the bigger issue which was how to solve it. And Robinhood Pandey did that! He heard her problem but didn't dwell on it - in fact he went ahead and told her to deal with it. To give Dutta a chance to decide what he would want to do in that situation. That she should allow Dutta to make his decision this time - if he wants Nakku in his life or not should be just as much Dutta's decision as it is hers. And even if he decides he doesn't want her, at least she won't be burdened be the thought of harboring a lie. She'd be liberated with truth. *sigh* If I could hug the man I would! And not just because it's Salman Khan - although I am not going to lie, that would be an added bonus.. 🤣
