Dutta is self deprecating and has low self esteem. That is partly his bad history with women and partly his own torment at the way he dealt with his history. But I cannot call him insecure.

I frankly speaking after whatever has happened b/w Naku and him so far cant blame him for taking the rejection badly. Forget Dutta...even the most calm and patient guy would have taken a rejection badly in this case.

last thursday, the way he reacted! questioning himself inspite of knowing Her love for him proved that.. words like" tu mujeh muaafi k bhi laik nahi samajhti kya?" makes it more evident ... He doesnt find himself a Great CAtch and we have discussed that during Tasha wedding when he forced nakusha and married her probably with a frame of mind that now i'll tell u how its to be a Wife of a Man like me ...

*sigh* its sad! but makes his character even more interesting for me!

I find myself in the same situation as u....long weekend with such a depressing thursday episode....but i'm glad will get to see new epi on Mon so long wknd won't be so long after all....you know I was thinking of the same thing too.....Dutta does seem to be insecure..esp when he says ki mein apne aap par shak karne lagaa hoon..and galti kar gayaa dutta.....I also agree with you that it is a result of his past experiences with Sups and Seema, but I think it has more to do with his confidence in naku which was shaken....He was so sure that she loves him and so would gladly accept his proposal that he did not anticipate her refusal and that it was a public one was more humiliating.....I think that was what shook him the most..that a girl who constantly time and again said and proved her love for him ditched him at the last moment....so how can he trust now???I mean that would shake the confidence of stronger men who don't have a past like Dutta..and poor guy has already suffered enough emotional atyaachaar at the hands of women...I think this is something that is really crucial at this point. Naku wants to save him pain but little does she realise how much her actions are going to damage Dutta right now, forget abt the face reveal...lets see how the Cvs handle it

The Q is not just abt the rejection, the girl didnt even say a "No" in this case , so its theoritcally not a rejection atleast till now. My Q was more abt the way his thought process went after the rejection. She runs off from the proposal and the first thing he says "Did u read u wrong ? Didnt u love me? am I not worth ur forgiveness? or ru just scared of me?". Iam ok with the last line ,and the before one ..............the first two lines gave away his insecurty , for me.......... It shows how meek his confidence over himself is. If he was confident abt he being the person anyone can fall for her he wouldnt have asked himself that Q sply after the woman claimed love so many times not just in private but in public too. Iam glad it lasted obly for few seconds before he switched his thoughts to the more appropriate ones......... "Scared" and "forgivness" which makes sense to me 😊

Actually even I feel to some extent thats there Anu. In the sense yes Dutta loves Naku for what she is that we cant deny but perhaps he is finds security in her lack of good looks. In the sense that other women left him becuz they had a choice to do so due to their beauty. Naku will prolly never get that choice due to her ugliness and she will remain loyal to him. They have shown this several times. Thats why I feel insecurity over her beauty will rear its head in the future. If not immediately after the revelation then maybe later. He will have to fight his prejuidice against beauty and overcome it.

What I've gotten so far from Dutta as a character, I'd say that he suffers from low self-esteem and insecurity issues in this aspect....having been betrayed so brutally two times, it is very difficult for him to firstly trust and if he is rejected in even the slightest of ways (like Nakku did by running out on his proposal and not saying anything), then his fragile heart and mind become tormented again and he starts questioning and second-guessing everything.....and this showed in the very last scene....when he's wondering why Nakku did this to him....if what he saw in her eyes was lies....if she doesn't consider him worthy of forgiveness, of love....his thoughts were all over the place....so many self-doubts.....he really didn't know what to think....so by default he usually thinks the worst.

He's impulsive and quick to jump to conclusions....usually the worst kind especially when it comes to his own case and relationships.

It's a character flaw in a way but that's what makes him interesting too.

Exactly and thats what is the cause of my worry. This revelation may be a temporary relapse for Nakkus problems but as she once said her beauty is her curse and Dutta might be very insecure when the truth abt her beauty comes out. He has this belief buried down in his brain somewhere that the ppl who left him did so cuz they are beautiful and they had better options than this don .... As far as Nakku is considered she has no such option cuz except him the rest dont even consider her a second look let alone love her..........
