I just couldn't handle such scenes or sight coz i just cant STand Men staring a woman with some filthy intension. It creeps me out .. even i tried to Act smart once when i was being stalked, being a strong individual myself i have nothing much to offer in my defense, and here we are talking abt a girl who was on a verge of getting raped.

Good points. But I wish sometimes on TV they would show strength instead of what Naku did. Keep in mind Naku is touted as a sherni, who will fight back for Dutta, for her rights...so that's all I was trying to say. Plus, showing her using her brain and fighting back would have been a good message, definitely better than shaking her hips and booty in Anna's dance dream.

gp, I didn't mean that Naku came in between. Subbu did to help/protect her. And while I agree that Naku looked confused and scared, I still think she didn't want to leave Subbu there alone with a madman (on top of her fear).

As far as Naku is concerned, as big a pev as Anna is, she probably thought he might listen to his wife, whom he likes to praise publicly (insincerely of course). So I do not think Naku thought Subhu was in mortal danger at all. I mean who would suspect Anna of being willing to kill Subhu? Throwing her out of the room, not listening to her, yes--- but I do not think Naku thought Subhu was in mortal danger from her husband.

Very possible, gp. I can't say for sure of course, it was just the way I felt the scene.

And about her not fighting back. Naku has always been terrified at first when she was in similar situations. Remember the guy at the beach where she was with Morey? She didn't Move then, just trembled away. Yes, her character developed a lot since then, but I guess more when it comes to fight for her man.

That is horrible, and I now better understand where your perspective is coming from. God, you would think people would see forcing themselves on a woman as blatantly wrong, but I guess some have no conscience.

You are right, while many do fight, there are some who are threatened or too terrified to fight. I mentioned that in a response as well.

It's true in most cases girls are just so shocked that you don't move or say a word.
When I was a kid as I was walking home I saw this horrible man manhandling this girl who lives nearby. And coz I was so young and shocked to see what was in front of my eyes, I just froze and started crying. The girl managed to break free and we ran back home and never spoke of it ever!
ever since then I just get very upset watching stuff like this, it's too much. plus I have met abused and raped victims and they never get over it, some don't speak about it while most blame themselves.😭

gp well said!! 👍🏼 🤣

nakku was completely like aa bail mujhe maar!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 first of all she is so tempting...upar se if she behaves like this then tho ppl like anna will be at an advantage......

her behavior was like icing on th cake..i think women rare not that weak or dumb like n nakku ......i would have loved if nakku had shown her sherni side and along with that screamed for dutta ...that would have made more sense....

women do get weak when ppl like anna are there but she had enough chance to run!!!...the CV's tried to show the helplessness of women......
even though subbu tried to stop anna , anna threw her ot of the room but i do appreciate what subbu did she protected nakku like a sister

Sad but true. Blaming themselves is pretty typical. Makes you wonder if being a victim is still a stigmata in our society. And to be honest, there are sometimes reactions and questions that blame the victims.

We would be surprised to know how many actual victims of rape and sexual harassment are out there. Many women (and men!, let's not forget, even men can become victims. And it's worse for them) are too ashamed to speak up. I had my own ugly experience and some years ago I was surprised how many of my friends had similar or worse encounters. But it rarely got reported.

fuzzyface, thank God your friend could escape. By the way, not only young people/kids are too shocked to react. I have seen some tv programs setting up a scenario: child gets dragged into a car by a man (both actors of course). Child screams, bangs on the window of the car. Broad daylight. How many people help? Now, we all say we would help, no doubt. So thought the people secretly filmed. But when the situation was there right before them, most of them turned away (was also done with: woman gets harassed, same outcome). A mixture of too shocked to react and fear.

But I feel I am going way off topic and almost feel like spamming gp's thread.

u may be off topic........but its very true......very less people come forward to help.......usually people were scared or shocked to react......even i m not sure what i'll do if i come across such situation......i hav read many such incidents in newspaper......where women are harrassed in broad daylight n also in crowded place......n nobody come to their rescue.......u know i think every girl should be trained in martial arts.......so they can help themselves n no need cry for help...........morever if a girl is raped.......our society blames her.....that the girl may be at fault so this happened to her........n if she goes for court cases......its more dishonour on its way......i m a law student......i know what kind of questioning happen in courts........believe me they are more terrible than being raped........a court case is just like u r again raped several times.........thats why many victims dnt speak up......infact if they succeed in the case.......what the victim gets.......a life time stigma n the culprit only gets 7 yrs imprisonment........really bad........

Aah, gp, I'm just saying😊 Because I feel like I am going a little off topic. But you know, I love such intelligent discussions, reading different opinions, learn other points of views, and so on.

[Quote/ gp00] yes, I said hide. As in hide-and-seek. 😆 Underneath the bed would have been much better, but who am I to say? And while many women would fight tooth and nail, run around, scratch Anna's eyes out, throw anything and everything (not just a lamp), Naku sits there "hiding" in full view of Anna, shaking. [Quote/ gp00]
🤣🤣🤣 u know ..when i saw it that was exactly my reaction as well...she is running around aur hide karne ke liye vo pehli ladki hogi jo wall pe lean karke, khule view main bethi hoge..'u can't see me..'😆
