REPLACABILITY OF Stars - Page 2

LTL without Mishal is unthinkable! There are so many actors I can't think of even one to replace him.But I'm not sure of Kala or Baji.As for Mahi she is a good actress but somehow didn't make that a dent in my heart. Even I'm not that emotionally connected with Nakusha as I'm with Dutta. Don't know why.

I think all the actors suit well with the characters they play. After portraying the roles for such a time and giving their effort, each actor has put in their flair to the roles. They're all fine and I don't think I can imagine anyone else playing Nakusha other than Mahi. All the leading ladies in the serial are so glammed up and she chose to be opposite. It must be hard for her to don such make up everyday and play such a role where she is demean. For that effort, credit goes to her. A lot of the times, these actress are often so fussy and throw tantrums, so kudos to Mahi.
All of them own the roles from Dutta to Baji and Kala, I can't imagine anyone else doing a good job like them.

But it is a valid question. And, yes, in my mind it will never come up, but I thought about the replacability of stars. Some other shows have done it, and it's often disastrous.

Now to LTL (remember my initial request above), tell me what you think.

My perspective is that Mishal is TOTALLY NOT REPLACEABLE. He has defined Dutta physically (structure, profile, walk, facial expressions), emotionally, etc. It's hard to think of Dutta without thinking of Mishal.

Mahi is excellent as Naku. I will tell you that at this point in the story that I think she is more replaceable than Mishal. I think it has something to do with her reveal, almost as if it will be a new Naku, ?, and also because the show has not probed as deeply into Naku as Dutta. I feel more emotionally vested in the Dutta character.

While enemies are a dime a dozen, Kala is not that replaceable. Same for Baji too.

So what do you say?

With the current trend on TV anything is possible so this isn't actually far-fetched. Replaceable list toppers for me are Mahi, Roops and Sudharshan. The rest of the character images are so glued in my mind that can't imagine anyone else playing those roles - even Babi or Ganpat or what not. Naku is a lead character but the development of her character has been such that I can still see someone else even attempting to replace her. Dutta and Baji - not a chance.

When I read the title, I was like noooooooooooo!! But its just hypothetical. 😆 Why must you scare people??

It is mainly the story of the show that has kept me glued to it so far. But there a few characters in the show who've managed to create a solid impression on me - Dutta, Kala, Baaji. Chinmayee is also doing a fabulous job as Naku's mom. So I seriously wouldnt want to see any of them replaced. But I cant say the same for the rest 🤔

By reading the subject matter I got minor heart attack.. 😉

Haan I am not angry on u.. Infact good u raised, I am sure our LTL Dev team will go through our topic and they better take care of the LTL cast team well, so that thy dont have to face the situation replacement of character..

OMG UR RIGHT!! they do visit IF ... and they might consider replacing them if things are not going well between them and the actor..

I am sooo sorry to have alarmed you all! Consider it one of my bad habits-- thinking too much.

Why were such thoughts going on in my head? Well, after watching Dutta in the last two weeks, I realize just how perfect he is, in every way, in how his character is etched and executed. As I mentioned before, watching him learn more about himself, made me as a fan more vested in his character. And I thought, it's rare when one really, really likes a character who has so many shades of grey, vulnerabilities, gussa, etc. And I credit Mishal and Anil and the rest of their writers for Dutta's brilliant portrayal.

I thought Mishal is totally, irrevocably Dutta. Never could someone replace him, and bring what he has to this character.

I also thought of Mahi, and yes, she has done a wonderful job of Naku. Absolutely deserves credit for it. But for some strange reason, in the way I connect Dutta and Mishal, I can't do that with Mahi and Naku. I think it's because Naku is not fully emotionally and physically exposed in some ways yet on the show? OR is it that Mahi's role has been more about the physical aspect (the makeup) and how people react to that physical aspect (the three sisters, Dutta, etc). This is no way to minimize Mahi's acting, so please do not take my comments in that way. However, what Mahi has done, stripping the makeup involved with the role away, can be done by other actresses. I'm not sure of that...but I think Mishal's acting abilities are far superior and unique to Mahi's.

Again, only hypotheticals on my part. And again, I am so sorry for worry you! I will be sure to better title future posts! 😆

Let them know in advance tht characters are irreplaceable till end of the show..
