As they reached the shopping centre..dutta let naku lead him where ever she wanted to go'as she knew more of what was needed to be bought'like most women he realised that naku too loved to shop..she brought sari..bangles and jewellery for his mother and sisters.
Every now and then naku would glance behind..to ask him his opinion about something or other..by the time they walked out of the sixth shop..dutta's arms were full of shopping bags..and he was starving form all the exercise..naku made him do.
He couldn't help but think..of how he such a big gangster'who everyone feared..was here walking behind his wife like some potter..he thanked god baji was not there to see him otherwise he would never allow him to live this down.
Finally getting tired..he called naku and said naku I am going to the car and keeping this luggage there..you wait in the restaurant for me..he also took some of the bags which naku was carrying..she nodded and started walking away..dutta watched her walking away till she was out of sight..and then he turned and went to the car.
On the way back..he saw a beautiful black saree with gold embroidery on it..looking at it ..he could just imagine how lovely his wife would look in it..he took a step closer to look at it..and noticed the back of the sari blouse was made completely of dori's..he went inside and bought the sari thinking how he was going to tie each dori'taking the help of a salesgirl he bought matching jewellery to complete the outfit.
Naku was waiting for dutta in the restaurant wondering what was taking him so long to come..suddenly she noticed a group of boys ogling at her..she felt uncomfortable under their gaze..one of the boys got up and was walking towards her table..she got up with the intention to go from there.
But before she could move from there..she felt as strong arm wrap around her waist..and immediately she knew her husband was there..slowly dutta bent and kissed her gently on the cheek and said..sorry love for coming so late..then he looked up to see the boy who was going to make a move on his wife..immediately naku saw the boy pailing on seeing who her husband is and hurriedly went from there..even his friends left'naku leant back in his embrace feeling protected.
Dutta gently squeezed her waist and said..it's ok ..lets eat and sat across from her..did you order lunch..he asked her..naku shook her head and said no..i was waiting for you..dutta went to place an order for them and joined her again..they were so engrossed talking they didn't realise when they finished their lunch.
After lunch they continued..buying some presents..after finishing they walked towards the car to reach home.
It was quite late in the afternoon when they got home'dutta quietly without naku knowledge ran up the stairs to his room to hide her present..soon he joined her in distributing presents to everyone..dutta kept staring at naku who was looking so happy..she was smiling and laughing'he was so busy watching her that he didn't here AS calling him
AS smacked him on his head and brought him out of his daze'kya aai ..dutta said blushing that he got caught busy staring at his beautiful wife..AS glared at him and said ..dont ask me what'from when I was calling you..i wanted to know whether you bought anything for naku.
Of course I have..i am not dumb he arrogantly replied for which he got another smack on his head from his mother.
AS told him..there is no knowing what you will do'so why haven't you given it to her..dutta smiled at her and said..it's a surprise.
Looking at her son..AS smiled and said finally you have gotten common sense.
