EPISODE 11

SCENE 1

Naku and Dutta are still standing on the wooden bridge.Nanku is admiring the nature around her wheras Dutta his admiring Naku.Naku turns to Dutta and says,"Saab,Woh ucche ucche pahaad dekh rahe ho aap...jab subah subah,waha se suraj nikalta hoga badlo mein se,toh kitna sundar lagta hoga.."Dutta is still spellbound and murmurs,"Par tujhse zyada nahi..."Naku looks at him questioningly,"Kuch kaha apne saab??"Dutta nods his head and says,"Tujhe dekhna hai kal ka ugtaa suraj uss pahaad ki choti se??"Naku's smile widens and says,"Kya aisa ho sakta hai saab??"Dutta grins and says,"Bilkul ho sakta hai Naku,agar tu subah sab se uthne ke pehle uth jaaye toh...main waha tujhe le ja sakta hu..."Naku thinks for a while and then says,"Haan..uth jaayegi main,meri liye jaldi uthna mushkil nahi hai..."Dutta smiles and says,"Toh phir theek hai..kal subah tu aur main..chalenge waha upar.."Naku interrupts him midway and says,"Par saab,kitna accha hoga agar Baji aur bacche bhi hamare saath chalte..kitna mazaa ayega na saab...ek saath..hum sab ke sab.."Dutta nods his head in desperation,"Nahi Naku nahi...bacchon ko subah subah utha kar pareshaan kyun karna...Aur Baji..uska toh bhul ja.ghode bech kar sota hai woh.."Dutta convices Naku to go alone with him somehow and Naku acknowledges it.Naku and Dutta,after talking for a few more minutes,decide to retire for the night in their respective rooms.

SCENE 2

Naku enters her small room,where she sees everyone asleep peacefully.She silently tiptoes to her place on bed beside Sethji and falls asleep insantly.Dutta enters his dimly lit room.He opens the window of his room and closes his eyes,letting the wind touch his face.The feeling was new,the whole experience was new.It was like a dream for him.Never in his life did the air feel so liberating,as if it made his mind lighter,taking him away from a world of slaughter,blood and treachery to a world of beauty,peace,humane,LOVE...When this word struck his mind,he opened his eyes slowly and smiled.He closed his eyes once again and he felt a faint picture of Naku smilimg in front of his eyes.He could see her everywhere.Suddenly,Baji enters his room and seeing Dutta spreading his hands wide,eyes closed,rejoicing the wind,Baji makes a worried face,comes up to Dutta and touches his forehead,"Bhau!!Teri tabiyat toh theek hai na..yeh kya paglo ki tarah haath faila rahe ho.."Dutta opens his eyes and turns to look at Baji,his arms still stretched.Baji looks at him disbelievingly and says,"Bhau abb toh haath niche kar lo.."He giggles and adds,"Kya Bhau!!Lagta hai tune haal-filhaal titanic dekh li..ya phir Shahrukh ki movie..ekdum uss maafik haath faila rahe ho..jhakaas bhau!!Socho jab iss baat ka sabko pata chalega toh.."Dutta puts his stretched arms down immediately and looks at baji with pleading eyes,"Dekh Baji!!Tu mera bhai hai na..toh kya tu apne bade bhai ki bezzati karwayega..nahi na..toh bas..abb apna muh band rakh aur mujhe sone de..."Baji goes to his room and Dutta switches off his light.

SCENE 3

The next morning,Naku gets up early 4 am in the morning and silently dresses up in a fresh salwar-suit,a beautiful yellow colour with kashmiri embroidery on the neckline and a simple yellow georgette dupatta.She silently tiptoes out of her room,taking care not to wake up her family.She heaved a sigh of relief as she slowly closed the door behind her.She stood in the long hallway and then said to herself,"Saab ne kaha tha ki who bahar hi milenge mujhe.."thinking this,she tiptoed outside the house,closing the main door behind her securely.Once outside,she felt a slight chill of the cold morning and thought to herself,"Mereko Aayi ki ek shawl laani chahiye thi apne saath..subah ko itni thand rehti hai yahan.."She shivered and started looking here and there for Dutta.As her eyes adjusted to the darkness enveloping her,she ooked at the wooden bridge and found Dutta looking at his watch waiting for her.He wore the clothes which he was wearing yesterday as he still hadn't taken bath.Naku went upto him and could hear him muttering,"Abb tak aayi kyun nahi Naku..lagta hai soti hi reh gayi'"Naku crept up from behind and said slowly in his ears,"Saab!!!"Dutta,stunned for a while,turned back and saw Naku.He checked her out from head to toe and said,surprised,"Tu itni subah-subah naha kar tayyar bhi ho gayi??"Naku nodded her head,"Maine kaha tha na saab,meri liye yeh itna mushkil nahi hai'"Dutta saluted her and said,"Abb chale?"Naku smiled at him and nodded in consent.

SCENE 4

They start walking together,side by side.The climb is steep and Dutta says to Naku,"Naku,tu kya pakka waha upar tak pahuch paayegi?"Naku looks up and says,"Haan saab!!koshish karne mein kya jata hai.."Saying so,she starts moving ahead.Dutta catches up with her.As they head further,they meet a treacherous trek where Naku trips over a rock and winces in pain,"Aaaah!!"She sits down unable to move.Dutta bends down immediately and asks her with concern,"Naku tu theek toh hai na'maine kaha tha ki tu aage nahi bhaad paayegi..rasta kharab hai'par tu nahi maani abb dekh kya kiya tune.."Naku smiles and looks at him and says,"Saab..main bilkul theek hai'mujhse zyaada toh aapko dard ho raha hai.."she starts giggling.Dutta gets up and says,"Haan kyun nahi..tu toh sherni hai na.."Naku shrugs and tries to get up.She puts her steps forward and sits down back wincing in pain.Dutta immediately turns around and seeing a helpless Naku,he bends down and lifts her up.Naku protests,"Nahi saab'main chal legi'aap takleef kyun karte ho.."Dutta says sternly,"Aab main teri ek nahi sununga'shhh'"he says putting fingers oh her lips.For a moment both look at each other.Suddenly there is beautiful hazy orange light around them.They look up at the sky and their eyes meet a beautiful morning sun,shining with all its might.Naku smiles,"Dekha saab,hamari mehnat khali nahi gaayi'kitni sundar subah hai'"She closes her eyes.Dutta shrugs and says,"Abb chale'warna ghar ke og kahi search party na bhej de hamare liye.."Dutta picks up Naku.Naku looks at him shyly.Dutta,gives her a faint smile and says,"Tu itni bhi bhaari nahi hai.."Naku makes a teasing face.As Naku looks around the forest,admiring nature,Dutta steals a glance at her smiling to himself.Dutta looks at her beautiful bright eyes as a song starts in the background'

Tere naina..tere naina re'

Naino ki chal hai..makhmaali haal hai'

Nichi palkon se badle samaa'

Naina sharmaye jo..

ya bhar aaye jo'

tham ke ruk jaaye dono jahan'

Rab ki nek matt hai tere naina'

Jisme basti hai uski duaayein..

Aise naino ki baton mein koi kyun na aaye'

He keeps on admiring Naku as the tune continues.Dutta's ears cannot hear what Naku is speaking but he feels the warmth in her animated eyes'

SCENE 5

They finally reach the premisis of the cottage.As Dutta enters the garden,Kala happens to peek down from her window,so does Leela and Roops.Leela's jaws drop on seeing Naku in Dutta's arm.She immediately starts babbling,"Dekha taayi'abb bas yahi dekhna bach gaya tha'Naku..woh bhi Dutta ki bahoon mein'Yeh dono toh dur jaane ke bajai aur paas aa rahe hai ek dusre ke.."Kala puts up one of her hands to stop Leela's babble.She speaks up,her eyes still fixed on Dutta and Naku,"Leela..yeh tufaan ke pehle ki shaanti hai'main apni chaal chal chuki hu'abb dekh ghar pe kya hota hai.."Roops adds,"Jo bhi taayi..par dono mujhe kisi hindi movie ke hero-heroine lag rahe hai'So cute na!!"Kala gives her a cold look and she stops midway.

SCENE 6

On entering the main hall,everyone gathered around Dutta and Naku.Babi looks at Naku with questioning eyses as aayi sahib mutters"Aayi jagdambe'accha hua dono baache sahi salamat ghar aa gaye..humein toh chinta ho gayi thi..ki kaha chale gaye yeh dono.."Dutta nods his head at Aayi sahib reassuringly and heads staright for Naku's room.He places her on her bed softly.Babi comes running after them in the room.Dutta orders a servant to get some ointment.Babi looks pleadingly at Dutta.He says,"Darne ki koi baat nahi hai'halka sa moch hai'theek ho jaayega.."The servant hands the ointment to Dutta.Dutta opens the pack and takes out some amount on his palm.Babi rushes and says,"Yeh kar rahe hai aap saab'main laga deti hai na.."Naku moves her feet towards her as Dutta moves his hands towards it.Naku says,"Saab aayi kar degi..aap jao.."Dutta takes her feet in his hands forcefully and applies it.Wind starts blowing as Dutta touches her feet.Naku gives a cry of pain.Babi goes to kitchen to get hot water for her.After applying the ointment,Dutta looks at Naku(Dutta gets maha romantic guys!!So sweet romantic tune plays behind..)He bends down and kisses Naku's feet suddenly.Naku jerks and looks at him with surprise.Dutta lifts his face up and Naku pulls her feet away,"Abb yeh jaldi theek ho jayega.."Saying so,he goes out of the room,as Naku is lost in thought'and toucher her feet where Dutta kissed her.
