This is also why I know I have A LOT to say about today's episode - I was totally making a mental list of "Things-I-Noticed" as I watched the episode and it's a lot - so I don't know if I'll be able to finish writing it all today. I got home about an hour ago from work - it's been a long, long day. It's already 12:33 a.m. here and I'm being ordered to get myself in bed. Off course I couldn't go to sleep without first watching the "controversial" episode - I saw it and I liked it! A lot. *sigh* Something's probably wrong with me. π But yes - I appreciate you guys being so patient with me for the past few days.π I am going to assume that you'd be just as patient for next few too while my body gets the hang of all this "excess" pollen in the air. π³ Until then, the TINs might be a little delayed - but I WILL put them up! Promise - I get weird LTL - related dreams if I don't get it out of my system. π So for now I am going to head off to bed on my mom's order - she is totally ready to confiscate my laptop if I don't shut it down soon π. But as soon as I convince her that I've rested my burning eyes enough (either later tonight/early this morning OR tomorrow after work), "I'll be back!" *Terminator style* LOL! Now THIS is totally the medicines talking. π€£
*sigh* I guess this is it for now - but trust me I liked the episode and I have LOADS to write about! *sigh* This is going to be hard - not writing about it. You can tell how I'm delaying the whole "leaving" process by rambling on. π
Okay, okay! I'm going to shut up now... *sigh* Don't get too upset guys... I really feel bad not doing the TIN on time. But I WILL do it! I will! π³
*Will edit this post for the TIN - 03/29/10*
*edit add*
*phew* FINALLY I get to write my TIN - you have NO idea how hard these days were with all these "thought" running around in my head! π
- As Dutta walks up the stairs to his room, he is so completely lost in his thoughts - his pace is slow and his actions are "routine". He is seriously disturbed by what has been happening so far - it's challenged his lifestyle of 10 years and you can see just how "confused" he is.
- As Dutta walks up the stairs towards his room, he's in darkness - he's confused. But then as he gets to his room, he steps into the "light" - he starts "putting together" pieces to solve this "confusion". I LOVE how his inner turmoil and his first step towards "figuring it out" was portrayed as "darkness" and "light", respectively. That was amazing cinematography! π
- When Dutta's thinking about what had just happened in his room, it's telling how he just remembered all of Supriya's "promises". How she assures him that her life lies within him, how she tells him that she wants to live her life with him and how she challenges to prove her love to him - Dutta's honestly questioning what he's seen and debating if he should "believe" it. He hasn't believed it yet, but the fact that he's THINKING about valid points before he decides is commendable. I hate character that fall for the "girl" at the first hint of care - that's so unrealistic. But this was so much more believable and natural to me. π
- Okay, Dutta is definitely debating with himself - he's trying to decide what the right thing to do is. And throughout all this decision making, he does not feel any "love" for the girl. His expression is one of "serious contemplation" and not once do I see a hint of "awed affection" - he is just trying to decide if he should believe her and/or care for her (picture below). It's all very calculated.
Picture #2
Serious contemplation OR awed love? That is the question...
- Dutta walks into his dimly lit bedroom and sits on his sofa - all this time he is still feeling SOME sense of control over his thoughts and his decision to "sort it out". But once he takes a seat, he is overwhelmed by everything "running around" in his head (for once I can say I know EXACTLY how that feels!) - and I LOVE how that is portrayed in terms of the presence and absence of light. Dutta turned off/on the switch i.e. Dutta was the one who was leading his thoughts towards a decision (by sifting through the good and the bad). And the presence and absence of light was symbolic of the abrupt confusion in Dutta's mind - one minute it SEEMED to make sense, but the next it was all a mess again. *sigh* Can you tell I loved the cinematography in this scene? π
- I don't know if it was just me here, but when Dutta was thinking about himself from 10 years ago (just the first few moments where he thought ONLY of himself), he looked "numb" with pain - like he was looking at ANOTHER person. Someone who'd met with an accidental and traumatic end - he'd detached himself from who he was 10 years go (because that was probably the only way he could bear to think about it). *sigh*
Doesn't he look "exhausted" with pain? Like he has had SO much of it that he can't even react to it anymore? *sigh*
- I don't know if it was intentional, but as SOON as Seema surfaces in Dutta's memory he gets agitated - enough to "change" position. He was sitting in an exhausted position with his head resting on his hand - but the minute he thought of her, he blinked his eyes (if only for a moment), lifted his head from his head (as if reflexively alert for her next "attack" even though she's just a memory) and turns off the light. He's in complete darkness as soon as her thought enters his mind - I LOVED how it symbolized Dutta's feelings about that "episode" with Seema (dark and painful).
- Dutta's expressions, as he thinks about the "love-filled" moments with Seema, is one of such intense disgust - like he did NOT like the thought of love or having loved HER at all!
His eyebrows are arched downwards and his eyes seem to be more "focused" - as though they are staring right at the object that resulted is such "disgust".
- As soon as Dutta was "done" thinking about being in love with Seema and starts thinking about her insulting him, he went back to his "exhausted" pose - he wasn't on alert anymore, because he knew what came next and he'd been living with that torment for years. Earlier he was anticipating her "attack" and was disgusted by the idea of loving her - but now as he thought about that humiliating/torturous night at the garage, he was back in his skin. He could deal with that - with people trying to hurt him and him in pain, It was like he had a harder time dealing with HIM being vulnerable and in love - but being hurt and turning into "stone" was much more bearable to think off, for him. Or so I thought.
- And he'd THOUGHT that he'd be used to it by now, he'd really thought so. But as soon as her questions and taunts flooded his mind, Dutta was agitated AGAIN - this time not because he couldn't stand being vulnerable but because at some level he feels that it was all true. To some extent, Dutta feels that he wasn't and isn't good enough to be loved and cared about - Seema SAID it then and it was unexpected, but now that he thinks back (after 10 years of torment) he's begun to believe her claims of him not being good enough. And that bothers him - he moves around and shakes his head as if trying to prevent the thoughts from ENTERING his mind or trying to get those that entered to FALL OUT of his mind. *sigh* He really is like a duck in a pond - calm and controlled on the surface, but frantically flapping his arms/legs to stay "afloat" under water.
- When Dutta went from thinking about Seema to thinking about Supriya, you could see the transition. He went from this:
Agitated and disturbed expression
to this:
- I like how the lights are "turned off" as Dutta thinks about Supriya and then they turn back "on" once the flashback's done - it shows the "dark turmoil" in Dutta's thoughts! I love it! *sigh* π
- When Dutta thought about Supriya, he thought about all the things she did to "show" that she cared for him - from bringing him something to drink to trying to make him smile to promising that she wants to life her life afresh with him and asking him if he'd give her a chance to FINALLY challenging him to watch her prove her love for him. All this thoughts were organized around a single theme - to decide if Supriya REALLY cared or not - and he was using what he knew and had seen to come up with a decision. *sigh* I like a protagonists who actually THINKS before he decides! π
- When Dutta remembers the "wrist-slitting" or WS as I will now call it (wrist-slitting gets too long! π), did anyone else notice him get "agitated" for a moment? Like the thought disturbed him and he was trying to decide what to make of it? And when he remembered the "hug" (read the PASSIONLESS hug) he's back to his "contemplating" mindset again. It was really quick - I had to see it a couple of times to even BEGIN to think it happened. But I think it happened... *sigh* Unless it's the medicine talking - and then it probably didn't. π
- I LOVED how Supriya's assurances merged with Seema's insults - it so completely portrayed the "confusion" in his mind, the NOISE in his thoughts. And add to that the on/off light - I LOVED how this was directed! Absolutely brilliant! π
- Another think I liked was the background music - I loved how it was "sad" when Dutta was thinking about himself , "sad-romantic" when Dutta was thinking about Seema, "tormented" when he thought about her insults and then that torment continued as he thought about Supriya. I liked how it "helped" understand Dutta's mindset every time. π
- Did anyone notice the soft "nod" Aayi Sahib gave before she entered Dutta's room? Like she knew he wouldn't be sleeping and seeing him awake just confirmed what she knew.
- When Dutta sees his mother in his room, he stands up - you can see his concern on his face as he's waiting for her to tell him what's wrong. But when she asks him instead if he's okay, you can see him "relieved" - as though HIS torment wasn't nearly as much of a priority as everyone else's and the fact that THAT was the center of this visit just made this visit a whole less "urgent". *sigh* Dutta totally neglects himself! Even when his mother asks him why he was up this late and sitting in the dark, he side steps the question by asking her why SHE'S there.
- Did anyone else notice Dutta's "head-shake" as Aayi Sahib tells him that she couldn't sleep? Like he was saying "Me too, mother - me too!". I did - unless, it's the medicines again. π
- And when Aayi Sahib tells Dutta that she was thinking about him which is why she couldn't sleep, you could see Dutta "tense up" - as though he did not like being discussed or being scrutinized over. He wasn't a priority in his list and doesn't like himself be one in anyone else's list either - all because he did not like to be "probed" (unless it's by Nakku! π). At least that's what I think.
- When Aayi Sahib calls Dutta over, he almost looks like he has prepared himself for being "attacked" - he didn't know what Aayi Sahib was going to say, but there was a chance that he would not like it (given as how mothers tend to say some pretty hard-hitting, true things sometimes! π) and he'd totally armored himself so he could hear it. Anyone else think so? π€
- Aayi Sahib smiles at Dutta - Dutta takes a seat - Dutta smiles at Aayi Sahib. *sigh* That was the most "honest" smile I've ever seen from Dutta Bhao! It was soft and it was "content" - Dutta Bhao was with his mother. You could tell just by that smile. SO heartwarming! π
Isn't this the most "happy" and "content" smile ever? Seriously?! *sigh*
- When Aayi Sahib asked Dutta if he wouldn't lay in her lap again, Dutta smiled. He was genuinely happy at the idea of being in his mother's lap - the ONE place where he was always safe and happy. But as soon as he rests his head in her lap, he is overwhelmed by emotions - once in her lap, he's his mother's son (vulnerable and in pain). *sigh* It was heart breaking to see Dutta go from this:
to this:
Tormented and vulnerable
until finally, to this:
Once the initial wave of emotions washed over, a slight remnant of a smile passed across his face.
- As Aayi Sahib talks about their past, Dutta has the most "dead" look on his face - it was as though he was seeing" everything Aayi Sahib was talking about and with EVERY "sight" his heart was broken into a million more pieces. There was no other trace of "emotion" on his face - just a look of silent but INTENSE cry of pain. He didn't even BLINK (let alone SHOW his pain) as though he was "stunned" into silence by the intensity of his hurting heart - the only hint of his torment were the occasional tears that dropped from his eyes and slid down his nose. It was like he was fortifying himself and trying prevent himself from breaking down because of the intense, overwhelming emotions. That was by far the most painful thing I've ever seen.
*sigh*
- This might be a really silly thing, but I really liked how Aayi Sahib wiped her face with her sari throughout the conversation - it was such a NORMAL thing to do. She was in the middle of a very emotional conversation and this seemed such a "human" thing to do. I liked it.
- When Aayi Sahib tells Dutta that she's his mother and she knows everything that is the first time Dutta responds - first with a "blink" and then with a subtle and painful expression as he asks her "Kya Aayi...". Like finally he'd decided they needed to "move on" from the topic and the only way to do that was by attempting (and failing) to trivialize the discussion. *sigh*
- I like how Aayi Sahib caught his attempt to trivialize the topic and tells him to "let her speak.". I like how she knows her son so well. *sigh*
- Once Dutta breaks his initial silence, his tormented expression is replaced by a more reminiscent-yet-in-pain expression - now he was ready to acknowledge his pain and let it "show".
His lips are a little "twisted" in pain/disgust and his eyes show a hint of emotion - they don't look "dead" anymore.
- It was VERY VERY subtle, but did anyone else notice Dutta's eyebrows "tense" as Aayi Sahib reminded him that he "entered the business" over someone else's dead body? I did. It was like he did NOT like the thought of that - even after 10 years of blood and gore, his first murder bothers him. (And this is why I think Dutta's still a human being - not a monster!).
- Once Aayi Sahib starts blaming herself, Dutta is disturbed - up until the discussion was based on "him" and "his mistakes" he was listening quietly and submissively. But the minute Aayi Sahib tries to share the blame, Dutta is immediately bothered. He slowly lifts his head off her lap and looks up at her - only to find her crying and that leaves him speechless for a moment. But within moments he finds his voice again and he tells his Aayi that this wasn't her fault - that if anything she and his sisters kept him humane in such a monstrous business! *sigh* I know I've said this before, but I love how Dutta rushes to protect anyone (from himself or from someone else) with complete disregard of how it might affect him. As long as HE is the only one getting hurt in an arrangement, he'll put up with it. But the minute someone else gets a part of that unfair pain, he isn't going to stand for it. *sigh*
- Once Dutta's done protecting his mother from the immediate pain that this conversation caused her, he gets up - as though indicating that this was going to be the end of this painful conversation. I feel that this "end" was implemented because he saw his mother in pain because of it - if it had been just him in pain, he'd have probably stayed in his mother's lap and tolerated the torment silently.
- Aayi Sahib looked like she was in so much pain because of how helpless she was, as she saw Dutta walk away from her and towards the window. Like the fact that she couldn't help her son feel better was killing her on the inside too.
- *sigh* Aayi Sahib - what should I say about her? I know everyone "feels" that she's evil. But I am sure everyone knows that I don't go for speculations until they ACTUALLY happen. So as far as I am concerned, Aayi Sahib is a mother - an real epitome of love. When she walks in the door, she knows Dutta's probably still up and probably tormented by memories/thoughts. So she comes close to him and waits for him to notice her - she doesn't "surprise" him out of his memories, she waits for him. And then, like any mother would, she talks to him tries to find out why he's still awake. But even as she asks him, she already KNOWS the answer - she knows the reason for his torment is his past and the similarities it shares with his present. So she takes a seat, asks him to come to her and then offers him a save haven (in her lap). And once she knows she has him feeling as safe and loved as he has in years, she tells him she understands. She tells him she realizes how different he has become from who he was (not directly, but by talking about how he was in the past) and she tells him how she knows he "grew up" too quickly for his age. She also admits her failure as a mother - something that has bothered her greatly for every night since the first night Dutta committed murder. She is tormented by the thought that she sacrificed one child to save the other three - she almost hates herself for her decisions. You can see that in the hesitation she demonstrates every time she talked about Dutta's past, his pain and her hand in his "destruction" - like she was fighting with herself to find the right words and actually SAY them. I really liked Aayi Sahib - evil or not, she really understands Dutta. π
- When Dutta takes blame for putting her and his sisters' lives in danger, Aayi Sahib looks so appalled by the thought - even before she says anything. Like the thought that Dutta had done anything "bad" to them was unacceptable - in fact it was THEM who demanded too much out of him.
- Dutta looks out the window and away from his mother as he accepts his remorse at having put their lives in danger - he is so embarrassed at his (presumed) "incompetence" at providing the best for them. When as he says it, he lowers his head and looks to the floor - as though what he was about to say was too embarrassing and "unacceptable' for him to say it with his chin up (according to him, off course).
- When Dutta and Aayi Sahib were talking about the past, they sat on the sofa in a dimly lit corner of the room. But now when they were talking about the future, they walked over to the window - where the light streamed in. I LOVED this play on "lighting" to indicate the "dark turmoil" and the "rays of hope". *sigh* π
- When Aayi Sahib claimed that every mother desires for a son like Dutta, did anyone notice how Dutta looks away? Like he didn't think he was worthy of that compliment and so couldn't look at her while she said it (because that would mean he accepted it and he couldn't take credit for someone he didn't think he was.). So I totally noticed it - unless I've lost my mind totally! π
- When Aayi Sahib suggests that he asks the mothers whose sons Dutta's saved, Dutta looks back at his Aayi with such a surprised and questioning look - like he hadn't even considered that and he didn't even realize that THAT could be true. It was like he was hearing how much "good" he'd done for the first time - and that thought surprised him (to know that he was actually a "good" person too). And he totally looked like he was trying to "decide" what to make of this "compliment" - if it was "good enough" or not, to let him off the hook (in his mind, though).
- I LOVED Dutta's "nod" when Aayi Sahib told him that she's come to talk to him about something - like he was saying "Anything mother - you name it!". *sigh* I LOVE how loyal he is to his mother - even with all this power he's still grounded and mannered. I LOVE IT! *sigh* π
- Haye! Dutta totally "smiled" when he heard Aayi Sahib say that she was happy because of his impending marraige - I feel it was the fact that Aayi Sahib was happy that out a smile on his face. He liked that he has been able to put a smile on her face - that he had been able to come to some use and make her happy. *sigh*
Smile or not? That is the question... π
- When Aayi Sahib suggested that Dutta would find someone who'd be willing to share his pain and her happiness, you could see something "click" inside Dutta - like he'd finally made sense of something. I think THAT is when he decided that Supriya's "wrist slashing" action was her proof of determination to share her life with him (Totally thank ksh's friend for helping me make sense of that!). Now he finally knew how to "classify" what she'd done - she was trying to share his pain (albeit by inflicting more pain on herself). And I feel that's when a vague "picture" started to emerge from all the confusion in his head - one that showed him a better future. *sigh*
- Dutta's lost in thoughts as his Aayi talks about him getting happiness and a full life - but the minute she talks about herself not being a competent mother Dutta shifts visible showing his (silent) protest to her assumption (of not being a good mother). He really cares for her alot! And I like that!
- When Aayi Sahib asks Dutta to "forget about his dark past", Dutta pulls in a visibly deep breath - as though just the mention of his past agitates and upsets him. And he has to REMIND himself to keep calm - hence the deep breath.
- As Aayi Sahib walks away, Dutta looks at her with his head cocked to the side - as though he was thinking back at the conversation and trying to "sort" it through his head.
Does this not look like he's totally "thinking" about what Aayi Sahib just said - trying to figure it out?
- I LOVED the contrast between past-Dutta and present-Dutta - the Dutta we know today is tormented and in emotional turmoil. But the Dutta from the past happy and content - he had a relaxed walk and a content smile on his face. I also loved how the past-Dutta came from the "light" suggesting happiness and calm, whereas our Dutta today stood in the dark, confused at the sight before him. I LOVED IT!
Present-Dutta: Troubled and confused.
Past-Dutta: Happy and content.
- Past-Dutta gestures Present-Dutta to follow him - but it was the challenging look he threw at Present-Dutta that did Present-Dutta in. After THAT look, Present-Dutta HAD to follow - he looked like he was debating the idea for a minute, but once that minute was over there was no doubt that he'd follow Past-Dutta.
Past-Dutta's challenging look.
Present-Dutta debating following "him".
- Present-Dutta followed the "guy" but with hesitant steps - like he felt that anything related to his past would cause him pain but he was too intrigued NOT to follow. *sigh* Aisey hi thori na kehte hain k "Curiosity killed the cat"! π
- OMG! I LOVED how the stairs that led away from Dutta's room were symbolized as the stairs of the "river bank" - Dutta following his past was a hint of his "attempt" to give "love" another chance and so the stairs he took to get to that "place of love" would be symbolized as the river-bank steps. I LOVED IT! π
- Once Dutta begins to realize the "similarities" in the situation (the steps being symbolic for one) he began to notice the contrasting qualities of the situation too - while then he had "money" in his pocket to help start a new life, now he carried around a gun that took away lives. YET he was still the same Dutta - I loved how it was portrayed by Dutta Bhao mirroring Dutta Patil's actions (wiping the sweat of the brow). Like they were trying to show that in spite of all the differences and all the similarities between THEN and NOW, Dutta Patil still lives within Dutta Bhao (and shows himself from time to time). *sigh*
- I loved Mishal's expressions as Dutta Bhao caught himself "wiping" the sweat off his brow - he was surprised at what he was doing and that surprise was quickly replaced by awed realization. He was STILL the same - and he was realizing that now.
- Nakku's walk (as she walked outside the guest house) was such an "exhausted" walk - like she'd been drained of all her energy and enthusiasm. *sigh*
- Nakku looks "up" towards Dutta's room and remembers the "hug" - that's all it took for her heart to swell up with pain again and that pain escaped her eyes in the form of her tears. No matter how much time passes by or how hard she tries, that hug is always going to be just as "effective" in knocking the air out of her. And that's when she turns around and runs away from it - trying to escape it's painful clutches. *sigh*
- When Nakku walked in and saw the teddy bear, she looked at it with such hopeful eyes - as though if she hoped hard enough, that old time would come back.
Does she not look like she's almost hoping the teddy bear could "fix" all this and make her as naive as she was before? *sigh*
- And when she realizes that her pain cannot be "fixed", she decided to distance herself from the memories that cause her pain. So she collects her teddy bear and her dupatta and she places it inside a case - she didn't "destroy" the things (like other protagonists too - which if you ask me is way too dramatic!). She simply places them "safely" away - somewhere where she can't see them and be reminded of what she's losing. It hurt her to put them away, but it would hurt her even more to have them around. And she needed to do this if she was going to "move on" for Dutta's sake. And once she closes the lid to the case, she just "collapses" next to it - as though that had drained her of any remaining energy she might have had. *sigh*
- Dutta looks at the gun and is reminded of the "cause" of it all - Seema. And with that he's reminded of everything he did as a result of it - of WHO he was before and what he'd turned into. And thinking about him from before (when he was naive) put a smile on Dutta's face - he was beginning to "hope" of being that happy (if not that naive) again.
- As Nakku walks in the Patil Mansion, you can see the pain she feels on her face - it's tormenting her and she's restless because of it. So much that it has exhausted her now. *sigh*
She looks so tormented - in so much pain. *sigh*
- Dutta sitting by the "mini-pond" in his house was so symbolic - just like he used to sit by the "river bank" looking for answers and waiting for love, now too he finds solace and "clarity" by the "water source". I love the parallelism in this song! π
- The first stone Dutta throws is at "Dutta Bhao" - the man who's shut himself off to love. But by doing that he causes Dutta Patil to resurface - he's happy, he's content and he's smile's inviting Dutta to be just as happy too. THAT bothers Dutta Bhao a little bit - someone so happy while he's not (someone that's HIM) leaves him just a little contemptuous of "himself". So he throws a stone again, this time at Dutta Patil - and with that surfaces "Dutta" who's a mixture of both Dutta Bhao and Dutta Patil. And you can see Dutta's approving and understanding smile. He know who he is not and he understands what he needs to do.
His "contempt" at seeing "himself" happy.
His "understanding" smile as he realizes who he really is.
- I know it happened really quickly, but when Dutta looks up to see "someone" - he almost looked PLEASED to realize who it was.
Does he not look pleased, albeit it's very subtle? Doesn't he? Or am I going crazy? π
- I loved how Nakku silently stood in front of her God - as though she was absorbing strength from him. There were no "accusations" being hurled at him and there were no dramatics involved. She was just there in search of peace and strength - that's all. And I LOVED the simplicity of that thought. π
- When Nakku turned to find Dutta, she did not look surprised - it was like she'd almost expected him to be there. Did anyone else think so too? I totally did. π€
- "Tujhe bhi neend nahi aa rahi?" - Dutta did not tell his mother even when she asked him that he couldn't sleep. He had side stepped that question by asking Aayi Sahib why she was still up. But with Nakku, he jumps to tell her right away - so much that he ASSUMES that she'd know he couldn't sleep too. *sigh* So much right on each other that they even expect each other to know how they feel. *sigh* π
- I loved how Dutta went "Hmm?" as he looked for Nakku's approval when he told her that she'd asked him to life a fresh. As though he wanted to make sure that she's REALLY said it - her CORRECT opinion mattered to him. *sigh*
- In the last scene everything was so "tied in" that I couldn't talk about it separately and make sense too. Dutta was SO optimistic about his life ahead - we've always known him to be a guy who does everything with a whole-hearted effort. This is exactly why I was not surprised when Dutta was so genuinely hopeful of his "better" future. He'd finally found a girl who'd tried to prove her determination to share his pain in the face of his rejection (at least he think so!). And THAT thought pleased him and AWED him at the same time - especially when he talks about finding that girl who "apnaa"-ed his "dard". He was totally in awe then - like he could not believe it was happening. He could NOT believe. But he had thought about this - Nakku and Aayi Sahib, the two important women in his life (whether he knows it or not) had approved of his relationship with Supriya and even encouraged it. If THEY were telling him it was okay, then he had to give it another chance - if his gut was the only thing warning him otherwise, then he had to silence it because it could just be him being "cautious" due to his past. I LOVE how Dutta portrayed it - from his hesitation (in the earlier episodes) to his confusion and now to his acceptance. It was perfect! π
- Haye, Nakku - She was so happy for Dutta because he was happy. But every time her happiness for Dutta even went down for a MOMENT, her awful pain crept back in and you could see her expression change. As Dutta told her about his happiness and his "better future", Nakku was actually genuinely happy for him. I did not see her "strain" to be happy - she was really happy. But then as he paused for a few moments and his happiness took a "back seat" (if only for a moment) you could quickly see a hurt expression spread across her face (as though she was reminded of her unrequited love). But just as quickly as it came, it leaves! And she'd back to being absolutely happy for Dutta. When Dutta talked about his life "changing" THAT night, you could see Nakku look away as she tried to keep the sudden burst of emotion at bay. Similarly when Dutta tells her that he's going to share his pain with Supriya, Nakku again shows a FLASH of pain - that vanishes in a split second. So, honestly, I really feel that she's genuinely happy. She isn't trying or faking - she is happy for him and that takes precedent over her pain. It's only when his happiness isn't on the forefront of her mind that she realizes how much pain she's in. Or so I thought.
- I loved how, as Dutta walked away, Nakku had a smile on her face for HIS happiness but tears in her eyes for HER pain. *sigh*
And lets keep our fingers crossed for the 03/30/10 TIN tomorrow! π
