@Anu: Dont be upset...think logically of what we have seen of datta so far and his behavior around sups. like anyone else even he wants a life partner who understands him. but after seema fiasco he couldnt dare to think of love...he couldnt trust his own judgment. so when aai chose sups for him he went along with it. supriya's parents agreeing must have made him think that supriya is ok with his profession because afterall his profession is an open secret. but supriya's later behavior confused him and he thought that maybe she doesnt want to marry him. thats why he went and asked her what's wrong.
but then supriya started making an effort to make the relationship work. but he wasnt convinced...he wasnt sure if she really understands what she is getting into and she is expecting to have a picture perfect life that he cant give her. but sups has convinced him that she atleast has the determination to accept him as he is. datta can never imagine anyone loving him as much as naku does. so for him if his would be wife is able to stomach his lifestyle that is enough. HE will make it work after that. thats why he looks contended as from his pov things are working out as much as they can under the circumstances.
as far as how he sees naku i feel he looks at her as someone naive and uncomplicated. so when she understands him and doesnt judge him he feels better vs say someone like baji whose crimes are similar or his family who he thinks will love him anyway. but all this wouldnt have happened if naku wudnt have guts to go near him in the first place. he also admires her inherent strength, guts and fierce loyalty and trusts her implicitly. but he doesnt see her as a potential life partner primarily because naku and sups have entered his life around the same time...so he always looked at sups that way and not naku. he's been intrigued by naku but thats where it ended as sups being around he hasnt really given a thought to his relationship with naku. u know that because he has never attempted to find out anything abt naku. he did try a little initially but left it at that. because he's not expected to love naku he's not wary around her...he's open and at ease. thats given rise to their comfort level with each other.
today even if he realizes that he has some special feelings for naku and she makes a better life partner....i agree with nazia that he wudnt go ahead and cancel his marriage esp to a girl who is making an effort towards him. he's too much of a gentleman.
plus with naku also i feel he will marry her under 2 circumstances. first if he's in love and he's convinced that naku will not look at any other option apart from him. or if he has to marry her to save her from some bad circumstances. either way he will marry her only when he thinks that naku has no other better choice. because he knows life with him would be unsure and he wouldnt want to subject any girl to that kind of life willingly a sweet girl like naku.
