I don't think you can say an actor is bad just because their films were never mega hits. Lots of actors are passed over because they don't have the dynamism that others possess during promotion or for sunny -not that great at dancing...
Too critical- no such thing in this case, as I don't hate mishal and am not picking on him, rather I sympathise with him. Just because most have one view and a few don't agree does not mean the minority are too critical or wrong in thought.
@nsb416 twilight was a rubbish film. The only thing that was good about it for me was Pattinson's acting. Though now i can see the similarities between Dutta and edward 😆 (Mishal and Robert) two sides, angry vicious/sweet sensitive, and unfortunatly for me neither are that impressive.
off the top of my head the one actor i can think of who is mindblowing in this Dutta type role is Alexander Skarsgard as Eric in True Blood. 😊

@moonstruck: I can't comment in detail right now - but I'll get to it tonight! 😊 However, I would like to say that I think you're getting defensive. TRUST me - NO ONE here is thinking that you're wrong or that you don't have a basis for your opinion. Neither is anyone being sarcastic to you. I've noticed that in most of your replies, you tend to think that the person is being sarcasatic - and trust me, that is not the case. I can say so for myself at least - I personally, appreciate your perspective. It honestly gives me something to think about. A reason to be critical about Dutta/Mishal. You have just as much right to post your opinion and defend it as the next person - and EVERYONE here knows that. I hope you can be a little more eased now - I hate to see you so "on edge" with our comments. This is a good discussion - chalta hai! 😃

^^ Yes, you have to defend your views - but you do not have to defend your right to HAVE those views. No one is questioning that - no one is questioning your ability to judge Dutta/Mishal. It's your difference of opinion that's being examined - but not whether you're right in having that opinion. Honestly, I mean it! Really. 😃

So you are saying that Dutta's two sides are not impressive? Or that neither Dutta nor Edward was impressive?

I think compared to Alexander Skarsgard, Mishal Raheja has been given a full-fledged role. He has WAY more to do than Eric does. And he does it well. Especially in the last couple of episodes he has done better than ever. Considering this is only his second or third television performance, I think he is doing a commendable job. He handles the character very well. I don't think he is ever forced or awkward unless he needs to look so during the performance. If you have seen the serial from the beginning (which I think you have) until now, you will see how well he is doing.

Also, you have full right to say whatever you want about his character 😊 I like that someone has the opposite view because then I can analyze the serial more and get more out of it.

LOL I didn't realise i was defending my right to have views. Surely everyone has a right to have their view - that goes without saying

But Fans can be very defensive/agressive/and any other thing. I would be too if I believed in something. And that's why i'm simply putting my point across and giving evidence where i think its needed. If thats being defensive well so be it. 🤔

@Moonstruck: Dude! For a person who supposedly cant stand MR ur spending an awful amt of time analyzing him. in ur place if i hated the male lead so much(and believe me there are lots of them that i do!) i'd simply not watch the show and ignore his existence rather than try an convince a forum of awestruck girls that he's a bad actor.

lol Yeah moonstruck, this is like converting some religious fanatics to another religion. It's like asking the leopard to change its spots. Not possible. 😆

The evidence is fine - the discussion is fine too. The difference of opinion is also totally fine. In fact ALL of that is encouraged! It's your assumption that all of us here are ignorant to new perspectives, that has me a little insulted. That's all. If you act this defensive, then it just seems that we've been way too vicious- enough that you need to have your armor up at all times. And I feel no one here has been vicious with you - so just extend us the same courteous understanding that we did you. Just don't assume we are all ready to lynch anyone with a different opinion. 😊

@nsb416: Nahi nahi! It's like asking the tiger to change it's spots! Or better yet, like asking the mavali to wear shirts his size! NOT possible... 🤣
