Smriti Irani threatens to leave Mumbai

'Mere Apne' a television soap produced by actor Smriti Irani faces trouble as the Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished the sets of the television serial. Irani is furious on the BMC for the action.

The structure was an illegal construction according to the BMC who had slapped several notices to the owner of the estate on which the set was built and also to the producer of the serial namely, Smriti Irani before finally sending bull dozers for the demolition. The entire process of demolition lasted for almost five hours.

However, Smriti Irani is furious over the entire incident and has threatened to leave Mumbai for Gujarat. According to the actor turned producer, "Where do producers go? There is limited space for serials and films to be shot. The only option left is to shift the industry to neighbouring states like Gujarat."

Come to gujarat Smriti. I am sure Devu will come to get you personally. 😆
