And tv stars doing films..., I agree with you. Only 1 in a million get the success SRK has and that is only due to SRK's own passion and dedication to his work. Not many people have the same luck that SRK has.

coming 2 the awards-i was very dissappointed at this year's costumes except hiten and shweta's dance costume i didn't find others anything exceptional or suited 2 the occassion...panchi's performance dress looked quite backdated 2 me evn though her hairstyle during the performance was good...gauri's saree wasn't pinned which made her very uncomfortable and she wasn't being able 2 dance properly wonder who all designed the dresses of the performances 🤢

Smriti got the award for coming back to the family. That's why she got the award.

Shweta Tiwari got the award for the contribution she has made as a member of Star Parivar since 2001, since KZK was in the top 3 programs of Star Plus. It was a appreciation/going-away award.

Gauri Pradhan does not care for awards, whether she gets them or not. But yes it is always a pleasant surprise to win an award. And no, she did not know beforehand about winning. She has never been desperate for adulation nor for awards.

Her smile for her husband and her genuine mention and blowing kiss to her in-law was spur of the moment, because she always is composed at awards.

Gauri Pradhan has made her own name, without needing any recommendation to her. She has been a star from the day she decided to do Noor Jehan as the serial to start out. She has even refused Yash Raj for their film because it clashed with her schedule for her tv show. Kutumb and NGJ proved her acting capabilities; and Kyunki Saas..., was a feather to her cap. Previously having done SS and now LRL, she has proven she has the potential to diversified roles with a different production houses other than Balaji.

I understand you don't like HGT and I am not going to convince you to like them. But if a fan has mentioned that they like their performance, there is no need for you to put down that member and their opinions. We are all here to share our viewpoints NOT to put each other down.

Fully agree to this part. Gauri has really proved her versatility by doing different types of roles. Though won't say the same for Hiten so will not use the term GHT. The one of senior detective in the serial Special Squad which used to air on Star One was one worth watching. 👏👏👏 It was so different to her usual one here in KSKBT or Kutumb.

Bringing the discussion back to SPA and who need to get nominated I would ask one question. If the awards was so clean and if popularity of both Character and Star mattered for the nominations then why were Sumit and Kumkum not nominated. Can anyone deny their popularity???? Can anyone deny Hussain's fan following???

Bhaskar, if you liked her in SS then you should see her in LRL where she has some negative shades to her character, she is fabulous and makes the otherwise ordinary serial very charming with her presence and character.

Back to SPA, I don't deny that some of the awards were pre-decided, that happens in every award function. I just don't think Hiten-Gauri knew they were going to win, that's all I have to say regarding this. That's what I had meant by my post that their reactions were genuine especially Gauri's. For the ones who see her at awards function, she is always composed and rarely reacts to anything. But her reaction at winning the award and her kiss to her in-laws was genuine. If her self-confidence is taken as arrogance and pride, then oh well.

Not just Gauri but even Hiten looked surprised when his name was announced for Best Beta and Best Jodi.

As for the nominations, nobody from Sangam nor Karam Apna Apna were nominated, likewise Santaan and Gharasti, as well.

As mentioned in some of my posts, I do feel Sumit-Kumkum should have been nominated in the jodi category, nobody can deny their popularity together as Sumit-Kumkum nor as Juhi and Hussain individually.

But yes, how can you nominate Hussain in the pati category when they have done a recarcination track? If taking the new re-incarcination track, they could have done the nomination with new characters in the storyline but wouldn't that be unfair to the older characters of Kumkum?

i come in as a non-regular watcher of KSBKBT - i watch it when my mother is sitting through it and when i am waiting for it to get over to be able to watch my favourite serial.

my take on this discussion is - i am amazed at the strong emotions GHT evoke here. i guess they do share some special chemistry, or they would not have this loyal a following.

but, as an outsider, looking in, i have to admit, they have never been able to make me watch a single episode of KSBKBT, and i have personally found lots and lots of other tv couples far more namkeen and attractive than them.

in my opinion, if ekta/star chose to give them the award for best jodi it was to try to push the serial. unlike KSKBT, most other serials run on the merit of the romantic storyline and chemistry of the lead pair. not KSKBT.GHT is very popular on this forum, and they make even have got more votes, but the prime viewship of KSKBT is middle aged and older ladies, who certainly do not tune in to KSKBT to watch GHT.

GHT may have been together the longest, but a lot of other tv couples can easily beat them to the best.

That' s what I am trying to say na......"SPA is fully RIGGED"......NOMINATIONS are RIGGED" and "WINNERS are RIGGED too".....

And regarding actors knowing beforehand......they are actors and they all know that "Ekta mata is our mai-baap, so awards cannot go anywhere"😆

just coz ppl u were xpecting 2 win awards didn't win...u can't say tht da holl award function waz rigged....i agree tht kumkum deserved more nomis coz it has been goin on 4 a long time buh thiz yr theme waz tht new ppl shud get a chance...if u luk at da nomis....85% of new membs got nomi in various cats & audience voting waz there...though there waz a confusion regarding da critics & popular category...other than a few cats almost all da popular newcomers & also da most popular faces of SPA frm several yrs(GHT) got awards..i didn't understand wht waz da necessity 2 give awards 2 prerna & tulsi just 4 da heck of giving it....prerna..still i can digest it buh why tulsi...frm SPA07-08...she wazn't there in SP..atleast tell da audience wht da award iz 4...simply handing an award widout any proper category or nomination...vry funny indeed. 😆 😆

akansha dis s true..jst bcz sm 1s fav wasnt nominated or won u cant say dat an awards function s fully rigged..n i also blv dat hussain n juhi shud hav gotten nominated..except 4 dat n smriti's unexplained award(i mean u guys here explained us wt t was 4😛..n may be ts true..bt wt im trying 2 say s dat da SPA people 4got 2 giv a justified intro as 2 y t was given😆)SPA was fare n square 4 me..
