old mihir Ticket to Bollywood

Television actor Amar Upadhyay, who made Mihir of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi a household name, has finally managed to bag a big role in the film Sab Kushal Mangal Hai to be produced by Adlabs. He will work with Madhavan and Krishna Balgopalan in the project.

The film, which will be a bi-lingual venture, is directed by Vikram Kumar, better known as Priyadarshan's assistant. It is a thriller which revolves around a family that moves into a new house and encounters a lot of strange happenings. The film will be entirely shot in Chennai.

After Virasaat, the actor has been trying hard to get a foothold in Bollywood and has also been slogging at the gym to get into shape. Says Amar, "I have a very guy-next-door look in the film. The film will have a Tamil version as well, with Madhavan playing the lead role. I will only be part of the Hindi version."
