actually i dont remember if karan and nandini had a divorce before she went to jail.incase they dint isnt she still his legal wife?why do people in shantiniketan say she has no rishta with karan anymore.immediately after the leap they all wanted ganga back in shantiniketan but why not nandini?

In serial world,1st spouse will not have any right over his/her family.Only 2nd spouse will have.In real world it is vice versa.

KN never got divorced. So Nandini is the legal wife. Coz according to Hindu religion, only a divorce or the death of one partner can separate a husband-wife. If a man still marries somebody else, then the second marriage is illegal.

As we all know Kyunki's set-up shows a Hindu Gujrati parivaar, it's obvious whose marriage is illegal. I won't take her name since we r not allowed to do that. Uffff!!!!

That's exactly where the Balaji creatives had a lost of memory. When the marriage itself isn't legal, what's the use of divorce papers? It's indeed sad that they forgot such an important issue.
