Pulkit Samrat:

First of all, I an very disappointed to see that nobody in this country has independence of speech. If somebody comes up with any expression from anywhere in India, there is always one party or the other that comes against this. You can see the case of Taslima; it was ridiculous the way they attacked her. The thing is the it is an Independent country, people talk of democracy. I would say that this country right now is full of hypocrites, because at one point you talk about democracy and freedom of speech and on the other hand, you always curb those democratic rights and freedom of speech and expression. Every ruling party says that Youth is the Future of India, but then if you see a youth protesting against something on the road, you stop him. If you come to the Judiciary System, it works only for the top class people. The middle class people are nowhere to stand, and the lower class is obviously no use, there is no hope for them. So in total, I don't think we are doing great. It is our responsibility to take care of these things, rather than counting other people's faults.

I think its very immature and childish statement when u are asked to give message to ur fans on I day....... i didn't expect this from pulkit ....

freedom of speech...he's giving his opinions upon an issue that happened in India, no one says you have to agree to everything, he's just stating his mind...i don't find anything offensive in his speech

Well tvfan1401 it seems you have offended sum of Pulkit fans by calling him a looser.

I agree with you 100%. He is talking about hypocracy, freedom of speech, freedom of this and that but he is forgetting one important thing about our country. That is India has made so much progress in last 60 years of its freedom; the Time magazine dedicated its mid August issue for India to elaborate on that fact. India is merging as an economic capitol that the world has to notice no matter what. What country does not have problem about Hypocrites and politicians? Now Pulkit talking about too many nagative points about India, I suppose he should have concentrated more on saying good things about India. I do agree with you about his juvenile comments. He should have chosen another day to quote the expressions not IDAY.

Offenssive comments about IDAY? I dont think so but being a star people do expect more out of him, and he failed to deliver it for sure on IDAY. 😊

Thank you desipride05....

Well well... let me make myself clear.... there's nothing wrong in what he said.. but on I day when u r expected to give a message, and u're a star..... u r supposed to be proud of ur country and be positive about it..... and name a country that is free of all the problems. I live in UK and i know how many problems r there in this country also.... but they may be expressed in other forum and in some other context.... not in message for I day... i think we all should be happy that its our national day and talk about moving forward....
i hope u all understood what point i am trying to say...
