Kyunki's prime bahu, Tulsi Virani, may be leaving the show for good! We asked her co-stars to share their best and worst memories, their most memorable scene and whom they think would make a good replacement for Smriti Irani.
Achint Kaur (Mandira)
Best - I've been working with her for a very long time. As an actor I really respect her a lot. She gets very engrossed in her character and that is why she is very famous.
Worst - She behaves normally on the sets just as other people would. If there is a genuine problem then surely anyone's temper would fly high. She never gets disturbed with minor things like costumes. Balaji is very particular about their costumes.
Memorable shot - To be frank I don't have any memorable scene with her.
Tulsi's replacement - As far as Tulsi is concerned; no one has the power but Smriti to reach that height.
Tasnim Sheikh (Mohini)
Best- She is highly professional and punctual. Her memory is so sharp that she doesn't need to learn her lines on the sets. Smriti is a great and versatile actress.
Worst- I haven't witnessed anything bad. As I have said, she is highly professional and very systematic.
Memorable shot- I remember when I was doing a kitchen scene with Smriti, she had to catch hold of me and tell me that what I was doing was wrong. Everybody knows that Mohini had done many ghaplas so in that scene Tulsi tells her to sudhro.
Tulsi's replacement- No one would match Smriti's status as Tulsi.
Ketaki Dave (Daksha Chachi)
Best - After my comeback in Kyunki I haven't had any scenes with Smriti. We shoot separately and then the scene is joined later. As an actress she is very hard working. I have known that from before as well as now.
Worst - I don't want to comment.
Memorable scene with Tulsi- There are many scenes which are fond memories for me. One scene which I will never forget is when Mihir is dead. Tulsi's breakdown and the way everyone consoled her was unforgettable.
Manav Vij (Joydeep)
Best - Smriti Irani, in the serial I call her dadi. The best part of Smriti is that she is a true professional. In her takes she is very spontaneous. As a junior I have learnt a lot from her professionally.
Worst - I have done many shots with her but the only thing I have noticed is that she wants everybody's mobile phones to be switched off on the sets. She gets irritated if somebody's mobile starts ringing. That's the only worst thing as far as I'm concerned.
Memorable shot- It was when Joydeep tells Tulsi he wants to marry Bhumi.
Tulsi's replacement - Who am I to decide? It is a decision for the production house. I don't think any actress could take the place of Smriti Irani (Tulsi). However the second Tulsi in the Virani family would have to be KT (Mouni Roy).
