Rahuol Lohani, who plays these characters in two different shows, has viewers utterly confused!

Rahuol Lohani is caught in a peculiar situation.

It seems that TV viewers are confusing two different personas that he plays on two different shows, namely Star's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Zee's Jab Love Hua.

All was fine till his mentally challenged character Mayank was revealed as Krishna Tulsi's rapist on Kyunki.

Now, viewers can't understand how the sugary sweet Bhola of Jab Love Hua (Rahuol's other persona) could be the man behind such a heinous crime in Kyunki!

Tangled up

"There is utter disbelief," says Rahuol. "The one poser I am constantly accosted with is, 'How could Bhola rape someone?' They feel Bhola can't be the rapist in Kyunki as he is not capable of hurting anyone. But Bhola doesn't figure in Kyunki, Mayank does!"

Rahuol says it's an occupational hazard that has arisen from doing two shows at the same time. "When I took on Kyunki, I was kicked about playing a mentally challenged person.

It was in stark contrast to my village bumpkin image as Bhola. I thought this would be a fantastic opportunity for me to showcase diverse mindsets. But now, the audience is merging and confusing Bhola with Mayank!"

Most viewers can't believe that Mayank (or rather Bhola) is KT's rapist. "A lot of fans of the show ask me if this is just another twist in the tale.

They say, 'How could the pampering Bhola, who fulfils Isha's (Monaz Mevawala) every demand on Jab Love Hua do such a thing?'," he says, clearly amused. "Even though I've been playing Bhola for a year now, an equal number of people call me Mayank too."

However, Rahuol (who shoots round-the-clock for both Kyunki and Jab Love Hua) does not have time to untangle the Bhola-Mayank equation. "If that makes the viewers happy, then it's okay with me!
