yeah they both loved eachother but Gautam married Damini to take revenge 4m Karan and then Nandini entered in Karan's life.

Gautam kidnapped Karan on the marriage day and Damini in order to marry Karan had lied her parents tht she is pregnant as her parents did not wanted to marry to a illegitimate child but as Karan cud not appear on the marriage time Gautam married her to take revenge from Karan.
