As much as we love to hate our ever long soap sagas full of tears and deaths there does get a point where you have to stop and think what are we saying about the world we live in.

To some extent these roles and dramas reflect the average person's life, but does it? How accurate are the story lines?

When people die or become ill - are these story lines researched correctly? falling out of a car after being hit by a lorry can cause death agreed - however injuries would be more then just blood on the head!

The scene of death was just abandoned?

I find the way most couples marry and divorce or have several wives is stupid. Yes it may happen but does this have to be portrayed in all soaps?

Balaji are a big brand - they have many soaps under their banner but why the same re0ccuring theme?

ekta dont believe that 2 ppl can b happy when they fall in love
she loves to keep them away from each other

she think love is a crime... when love is only from one side no prob... but when the other person also falls in love they get disappear, killed or end up with another loser
she is trying to convince us that life is all about failure and no happiness

Hey,

I agree with you completely.

I mean here is no reality to these shows anymore. Ok don't everybody get mad at me or anything, but look at the karan and tanya sitution. Nobody in real life leaves their wife of 20 years who has been with him through everything and goes back to his love, which he hasn't met for 20 years. I mean that just doesn't happen. I think that these producers have to keep in mind that we are an indian society, no matter how modern we have become. Our morals and ethics are still those of indians and marraige is very important to us.

These soaps show a divorce like every other week, when in reality india has a very low divorce rate.

I think that we as the audiences have watched too much of the tear shed and nor deserve a little happiness for being so faithful. Comeon show us a happy ending for a change.

Cheers

I agree with you. I mean I am sure that no everyone has a happy ending in real life but the stuff that she shows in her shows is just not realestic. I know lots of people who have fallen in love and have had a heppy ending. She needs to show more positive emotions so people have hope in life rather than all the evil. 😃

exactly.

Some reality needs to be shown. They talk about sanskar etc but is this what they teach their kids?

such wrong doings.

when will indian tv move forwards, fair enough keep some dramas with the masala but keep some more towards reality or look at issues and situations and handle carefully
