Costs and miseries, shared Strange are the ways at Balaji Telefilms. In their soap sagas and especially the never ending Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. The female protagonists — Tulsi and Parvati are invariably losing their husbands or are at odds with the family, and they do so almost simulatneously. In fact, so predictable are Parvati and Tulsi and their that when one sees a character in Kahani... die, or get married, it only follows that Kyunki too will have a death/wedding scene. Currently, Parvati is seeking out husband's Om's killer and at the same time is going to marry Suryash Mehra. A few minuites later Tulsi and Mihir are on the path to reunion. So now we have Parvati and Tulsi sprinkling sindhoor accidentally. Lest we forget, Kavyanjali too is joining the brigade. For currently Anjali has met a Kavya lookalike. Both Kavyanjali and Kahani.... are about to have a wedding, not to mention they recently had an hour long crossover episode.

Are Balaji Telefilms' scriptwiters and production team working out of an instrutcion sheet? How else will the three Star plus serials have so many plot similaritIes? If it isn't a case of shared costs what is?
