well i found this but it may have been posted before

Recently, around a 1,000 women held a peaceful protest outside Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Studio in Andheri (W).

The women, who were protesting against the typecast portrayal of characters, especially women and other issues, represented various organisations in the city.

metro caught up with two members from Virti Vrund in Borivli (W), a local organisation that holds camps and other group activities sessions for girls and women.

1. Remove extra-marital affairs
2. Stop portraying women as passive and sulking creatures
3. The serials should think of its audience as mature individuals
4. Show stronger men
5. Marriage should not be shown as the most important thing in life

1. Realistic characters
2.No leaps in time
3. Healthy portrayal of married couples
4. When characters say they are sorry, they should mean it
5. Depict true representation of the middle class

What do you watch on television?
"I watch news with my husband in the evenings and in the afternoons I watch Kum-Kum."

Many people like the shows!!! Which many people?? I think most people hate the serials...they watch it just for their favorite actors...not necessarily because they like the serials...
