Discussion of the Week--Mihir(s) Virani

I love the character of Mihir. He is human...a great son, father and husband. He has a sense if responsibility and is mature and sensible

Mandira and Mihir issue is not at all justified. If he knew Mandira was alive for almost 20 years, he must have lived in constant guilt and fear.

Mandira, had saved his life and it was quite right to save her life. But being the rich aristocratic family that he belongs too, he should have just let her be taken care of instead of him taking it upon himself.

Also he proved to be a lousy father to karan during his initial years. When he was aware he ahd a son and no matter what Mandira filled up his brains with, he must have showered love and affection on Karan and helped him grow up.

Amar Upadhyay was good and he brought life to the character of Mihir Virani. But Ronit is the best. He decided to join Kyunki, when Amar was a great hit and Inder a flop. Smrithi had acheived her stardom and it was a great challenge to accept it in the first place and live up to it all these years

Smrithi looked great with amar and also shares a nice chemsitry with Ronit

Yes, the character of Mihir is indeed a lovavble one. It is well balanced and realistic. Mihir is the sort who makes mistakes, and doesnt mind admitting to them. The sweetest part about him is how much he loves Tulsi😃

No, it was not justified at all. Just because Mandira saved his life, that doesn't mean he shud repay her by giving him a night of his life

I liked Amar Upadhay the best--since he looked the cutest with Smriti. But personality wise, i like Ronit. I like him also because hes a gentelman

Amar--they looked the best together. They made a sweet innocent couple. It is becuz of Amar n Smriti-the orignal Mihir-Tulsi jodi, tht the characters of mihir and Tulsi hav becum living legends.

i dont really know if it cud be considered justified or not becasue Mihir shouldnt have been with Mandira at any time and wat he did with her, well he was well aware of what could happen. so i dunno.

Do you like the character of Mihir Virani? Why or why not?

I am simply in love with Mihir. His immortal love for Tulsi, immense concern for his children, "I'll be the one to care" attitude, always standing as a firm pillar of support whenever any member in the family needs him speak too much in favour. He is a pure sweet heart. "Mihir Virani" is not connected to only one actor. But me speaking of Mihir will only have mention of Mr. Ronit Roy. I simply love the way Ronit portrays Mihir and I give the whole credit to Ronit for making me love Mihir so enormously. I would like to quote a line of Ronit, he said "Earlier Mihir was absolutely white, but I've tried to put a grey shade to it, and I think its more believable".. I agree totally, Mihir is just so humane. He is not absolutely mistake free, but he accepts them and makes up as best he can. He is totally relative. I guess I have too many reasons for loving him.


Do you think what Mihir did to Tulsi regarding Mandira was justified?

Though I don't feel like saying, But Have to say… He wasn't. He feared of losing Tulsi whom he loves even more than his life if he told her about Mandira. But I do feel when Tulsi could forgive him after 20 long years, she would have definitely stood by him that time too. But I definitely wont put the whole blame on Mihir, in a way he too was cheated by Mandira, he was trapped. It was too innocent of him to believe her, but recalling how hysteric and mad Mandira acted and also the feeling that "I owe my life to you" might have told upon him for a short span and that little weak moment was enough. But then he accepted his mistake and made up for it the way everyone wanted. I would like to add, any number of Mandiras can fall for him, but the love he has for Tulsi is everlasting, in true words-eternal.

Among all the three Mihir s, which one do you like the most?

I remember I was playing at home and the Television was on, it was 11th Oct 2002, when I heard this Gentleman entering as Mihir Virani, I came running to see and had such a hearty laugh saying..Ohh Mihir has changed all over again. But too much in amazement I stopped suddenly say after 2 minutes. And as you can guess I was too involved watching him noticing each and every step made by him. But after 11 PM it was over, I forgot all what I had seen. Next day I saw him again…. And Believe me or not the third day I was in love… His impact on me was so immense. I love him the same till date.

Also the fact that he took up KSBKBT at a time when they needed him the most makes me have a higher degree of respect for him. He himself said Mihir was more challenging but hats off to him for taking up the challenge, an doing such a brilliant job.

Which Mihir looked best with Tulsi??

I have always maintained this saying of mine that it would have been blasting if Ronit had been playing Mihir right from the beginning. Ronit –Smriti are too much natural. Ronit says always, Smriti made him feel absolutely comfortable and chemistry could be felt from day 1. I remember yet another interview where he said… he has had the best chemistry with Smriti. I couldn't agree more. This point of time I recall their first scene together, an absolute Gem. I do not see anybody else in the frame…Ronit-Smriti ROCK!!


As actors rate the following:

Inder Kumar : Well, I need to see him act to atleast think of rating him.

Amar Upadhyay : 4/10.

Ronit Roy : I would like to be as perpetual as I can…so an Infinity too wont suffice to match with his brilliance.
