Karan continues to say "Yes, yes I killed Gujral. I pierced the harpoon into his heart. I killed him. Now he can't harm my family any more. "Tulsi is shocked and says that he is under pressure and stressed. He could not have killed Gujral. The judge asks her not to disrupt the proceedings of the court, but she does not pay any heed and continues "Judge saab please hear me. Karan khoon …"karan adds "kiya hain Maa". Tulsi is silenced. Mihir is disturbed and nandini can't believe what she hears. She says "No karan, you have not".
Mansigh says that since he has accepted that he committed the murder, he can describe the details. In flash backs it is shown that Bhoomi offers some chocolate to karan at the party and he asks where she found them and she sweetly answers Dadu gave it to her. Karan wonders which dadu, when Gujral says it is so nice to hear Bhoomi call him Dadu. Karan says that he is not related to Bhoomi in any way. Gujral says that in a few hours nobody can prevent him from taking over Shanthiniketan and Bhoomi. Karan says he will stop him and if he can't, he will stop Gujral's breath. Gujral does not bother much and ask Karan to indulge himself with drinks.
Karan also overhears Gujral speaking on the phone. He is speaking about Shanthiniketan being renovated to suit his tastes and Karan is at his wits end and wonders what to do.
He does not see Gujral around in the party and asks a waiter where Gujral is? The waiter says he is at the terrace. Karan drinks another peg and goes to the terrace. He sees Gujral speaking on the phone. He sees the harpoon lying around. He wears gloves and hits Gujral.
Karan is in tears.
Meera takes over and says that Karan has confessed. This proves that he is a truthful and basically a honest man. And what about the man who is dead. He was involved with the mafia, dealt with drugs and got rights to the Viranis business and property through fraud. He cheated them and did not have any ethics. Above all this he did not respect the women and often disrespected Damini. She plays the conversation recorded between Gautam and Gujral. If the police had done his job well, then Gujral should not have been allowed to do all this, which in turn would not make Karan helpless; that he had to kill Gujral. So she asks the judge to free karan or give him the least possible punishment.
The public prosecutor says that Karan's murder was pre-planned and executed with care and caution. He needs to be punished severely and if possible hung to death.
The judge says that all evidence proved that Karan is guilty and he has also confessed to it. The judgement is "Karan is to be hanged till death". (This is something total nonsense - even a life time imprisonment would have been acceptable, but nobody ever gets hanged for a single murder !!!)
The family is all too shocked. Nandini tries to come forward to meet Karan, but she faints. Gautam and Saahil support her. Tanya calls up a doctor. Karan wants to support her, but the guards hold him back. As the family leaves with nandini, Tulsi is just standing there. Karan sits down on the floor too tired to stand. Mansingh pulls him up and leads him back to the van. He looks at Tulsi and just says "Maa nandini Maa". Tulsi just shakes her head in disbelief.
Mihir is driving the car to the hospital. Damini, Tanya and Tulsi are with Nandini.
Karan comes out of the court complex. Meera tries to apologise to him. Karan assures her that she has tried her best and she does not have to be sorry.
Gautam and Saahil don't know what to say. Karan tells gautam that he is no longer afraid of dying, but nandini does not know how to lead a life without him. Gautan pats him on the back and says that damini is with her in the hospital and he will ensure that she gets well and always support her.
Karan then asks saahil to take care of Tulsi and Mihir. Saahil just says he cant believe that Karan is the murderer. Karan says what the court knows is truth. They hug each other.
Karan gets into the van and the doors are locked. Gautam and Saahil just look on.
Tomorrow: In the hospital Tulsi explains that nandini suddenly lost consciousness and is not responding to them. The doctor says that she had warned them before that Nandini cant be stressed beyond limits and they did not heed her advice. Tulsi interrupts and says that the doctor can hurl abuses later and begs her to start treating nandini.
