Indian television's landmark show 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' bid a tearful goodbye on Thursday night, but Ekta is in no mood to spare Star Plus for killing her flagship show. Ekta expressed her agony as she quoted, "I am worried about the 300 people, who have been working on 'Kyunki…' for 8 years, 'Kyunki…' is not just India's biggest show, but it is a cultural icon."
Ekta has received an offer from rival channel 9X to switch 'Kyunki…' on their channel, but the drama queen says that she is in a mood to create something even bigger than 'Kyunki…'. Insiders revealed that Star channel is threatened by the rising TRP's of Color channel's two popular show 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Jai Shri Krishna' and hence, decided to replace 'Kyunki…'.
Ekta denied the rumors by commenting, "There was always competition for 'Kyunki…' like 'Jassi Jaisi..', and one time Balaji's 'Kkasam Se' threatened 'Kyunki…'. Balaji is immune to competition, and Balaji will continue its legal battle with Star in the Indian courts."
Looks like the off-screen show by drama queen Ekta is creating more buzz than her soaps on the tube.
