I disagree. Shiv does not look scary at all. His acting and expressions are sometimes scary only because of the demand of the scene but not his looks.His look is intense.The absolutely correct word to be used here for Shiv's looks is only intense as suggested by deepnil1. Shiv is also very stylish.Ansh's look was scary.

I am also not finding Shiv track boring even a little.The track is very interesting and has a great pace.Ganga finally got some exclusive screen space away from other boring Viranis after a very long time and she is utilising it well with the help of Shiv.Both Ganga & Shiv compliment each other very well on screen although they are not real-life couple and also they are not paired exactly opposite each other in the show.They sizzle together on screen.Their track is exciting.
Rather Karan & Nandini current track is maha boring.Nandini hiding something and Karan becoming Sherlock Holmes for the reasons only God knows.

Come on Shiv & Ganga track is not boring at all.I will not comment on its usefulness but surely it is not boring unlike you commented.It seems you are eagerly waiting for something else and getting to see something else for which people are frustrated.
80% tracks in Ekta serials are useless and has no direct link with the concept but they still continue to take the shows further.
Regarding the looks of Shiv, since he is playing a psycho kind of character, here his look really doesn't matter but here I find him hot and stylish.In general, he is a very good looking guy and a fabulous actor.We cannot expect everyone to have sweety-sweety,cutie-pie or rolly-polly looks.Even Hiten's initial looks in Kasauti was questionable.He was looking more 'scary' than Shiv is.Serious & rough looks give the indication that the actor or character is intense and not scary.

For Parth's entry, I would like to say that it might be interesting and it might not be.His entry is surely going to make waves as the discusssions about him currently are.But you cannot say the same about him always.Just like Lakshya did initially but later the character was completely ruined.Who knows Ekta also ruins the character of Parth making it more irritaing than Vaidehi.Vaidehi entered the show with a bang and initially people liked her also but now the same people are pissed with her character.At least Shiv is many times better than Vaidehi.
