Should Punishment Be Given?

Hello guys

The question is really simple- should punishment be given? Of course, all the animals who care for no feelings and only thrive for painful pleasures greedily should be given punishment. A crime like rape intensifies the fear in every human be it a father or a daughter. Awareness, precautions, every single way of stepping out from being victimized has been provided to entire world. If punishment gives justice, how many of them have been justified? How long can we all stay in precaution and self protection?

We all blame the accuse. Surely they are criminals. But I just wonder most of the times regarding what they think before doing such a filthy hopeless inhumane crime. What do they have in their mind? Even with a lusted thought, what is there to get attracted to a five year old kid or a seventy year old woman? There is nothing lust worthy in a kid, neither in a teenager nor in an old woman. What these people think not only connects with their hormones, it connects with their psychology.

In today's episode, the two guys in jail questioned Evan and Viraj regarding the kind of crime they did to get locked up.

Kya kiya tumne? Rape kiya? Murder Kiya?

It came from their mouth so easily. They find no guilt, shame or fear in it. If they could be this trashy, what kind of garbage is the world carrying in a whole? Evan, Viraj and Suveer's act would be nothing compared to the kind of crimes they are easily talking about.

Evan and Suveer behave like nothing had ever happened, their nights are not being haunted, their monstrous side never scares them, their lusted evil never strangles them. There is no surge of guilt in their blood. They are not even realizing that they have committed a crime. They are educated. They know what is right and what is wrong. Then why did they have to be cruel? Why did'nt they recognize the pathetic act they were doing? They could have surrendered after knowing the mean things they have been doing under the action of drugs. But they were selfish. They were not even worried about the girl they have traumatized. Not worried about how they have broken her into fragments. What do we call that?

They don't realize the reality of life. They don't realize the reality of pain and suffering. Who should we blame? Their heartlessness or the society? Money and power or poor bringing up by their parents? My answer for it is that - they are given with everything, but not given with responsibility. When there is no responsibility there is no emotion, no humanity, no kindness. That is what they are!

What do you all think? Does Viraj deserve a punishment? My answer would be a strong yes. But he's not as heartless as the other two. He blames himself, finds him guilty, even in today's episode, he behaved in a way which showed that he wanted to be jailed. He should be. But he does have the last bit of humanity left in him! He's despising the cruel side of his own self. He deserves a chance does'nt he? But somewhere deep down, I don't want to give him a chance. Then how come Amla give him? Can anybody in her shoes give him a chance?

A really good post, Vampy! 👏

There's a last bit of humanity left in Viraj. He is guilty, he knows what crime he committed, he knows what he caused to Amala. He knows what he did to Abeer. He knows everything, but still he behaved like a coward by hiding the truth from Abeer, when he should have told him. Not only he destroyed Amala's life like this, but his own friend's life as well. Not only did he destroy a woman's life and shattered it into unrepairable pieces, but also destroyed the life of a person, who had nothing to do with this. He is a disappointment. While knowing the truth, he didn't tell it, and intentionally destroyed two lives, just to save himself! Do such people deserve to be forgiven?

Evaan and Suveer, on the other side, are victims of their own mentality. I believe heart is just a blood pumping organ, for them to be heartless. Both of them are monsters of a different degree. Evaan is a person who knows no good. He can't think of anyone else, but himself. He is a carbon-copy of Rishan. He is a wild Animal, which just wants to prey on other beings to satisfy its own hunger. Whereas, Suveer is more of a rich spoilt brat of Rishan, who is just as Evaan.Just imagine, what wo uld happen if Evaan raises a kid? That's what it is about Suveer. Suveer just wants the luxury without doing any effort! His greed has made him a reckless animal. What else can we expect from them?

And I believe, having lustful thoughts about a woman, are not a result of their hormones, but their disgusting mentality.

I will not suggest death penalty cause that will take their lives easily without knowing the pain and suffering.

They should suffer, they should know what kind of mentality they have and should mourn and struggle for it.

Absolutely Annie!

Viraj ditched his own friend, his best friend, made him go through hell. Made Amla go through hell. Betrayal cannot be forgiven. There is no question of forgiving anyone.

Rishan is the culprit here or may be the whole situation in which he was grown and brought up in. It always sows a seed for another misdeed. It comes naturally when a person tends to grown up in an environment where they are not responsible for anything. It ends up in a way which destroys everything he has. Ego, jealousy, power, lust all are the different types of emotions that grew along with him. They don't understand the true meaning of life. There's nothing that a person can do when they are edged with such a narrow minded life. Every situation is a fuel to the fire called power.

And I believe, having lustful thoughts about a woman, are not a result of their hormones, but their disgusting mentality. 👏

Their mentality begins to decay when human are free to do anything and the choice of misusing barges in. When we find ourselves responsible, we can find our flaws and correct them. Other wise evil becomes a devil in no time!

There is no question about Evan and Suveer's punishment. They have no regret whatsoever. They always say if Abeer didn't get hold of Amala then nothing might have happened. But even under influence Abeer's intention was not to rape or assault or molest Amala. Abeer is of course guilty as he added to the crime but intentions count when judgement given on even murder cases. When in his senses Abeer didn't even tell them He had a crush on Amala like when he saw her in the party or when she fell in the pond.
Viraj feels guilty but he was the first one among the three who betrayed Abeer and made him take the whole blame. He was first to say Abeer left alone from the party while three of them stayed back at resort. Abeer knew they got alibi and decided to marry her.
Viraj should get equal punishment as the other two

You are right! We can't blame Abeer in all these chaos. His intentions weren't harmful but we can't say that his harmless intention created no harm. Viraj deserves the punishment.

Exactly...that day Evan said Abeer caught Amla first and everything went out of control...this is just a excuse to blame Abeer again...Evan and Suveer don't have an iota of guilt about what they did...that is why they should be punished...Viraj is a coward...put all the blame on Abeer...and wanted a way out...imagine if his mother was like Evan's mother...he would have never told the truth to Abeer...it has nothing to with any humanity or guilt...it is just that his mother made him realise his mistake towards Abeer
Regarding Abeer being the part of the crime...he is getting his punishment right now

Absolutely! Abeer, for what he did, is already suffering, and will suffer till his last breath. The guilt that has taken a birth within him will never return him his sanity and peace. However happy he would be, he would die a thousand times whenever something related to that incident will come in front of him. He'll blame himself more. That's what his punishment is!
