Is lack of USP's hurting the ratings of this show...till now the concept of extra maritial affairs after marriage is not executed properly...and moreover the sole theme of the show is extra maritial affair...
If we look at BALH(I don't know how many of them will follow)...there are many USP'S like middle aged couple romance, love story of fat n unfit man and women, even male lead best friend is impressive and his chemistry with his doubting wife and last but not least Ram Kapoor and Sakshi beautiful performance...
But in this serial the sole USP is Mona Singh...she is the sole USP of the show...
Ekta should have created more USP's through this show...instead of only extra maritial affairs...
the show is like more serious stuff...

I agree; they seem to have made this show without planning how they will keep up the viewers' interest. There are a few entertaining things like Pammi and Suri's altercations and the battle with Kukreja, but these need more air time. If Mona weren't in it, I wouldn't even watch it.

Btw it's Mona Singh not Mona Kaur 😊.

the show is lacking something from the begining i have not understood wat it is and i guess even in the end i wil understand 😆

and yeah most of the viewers watchin the show for mona only so she is the only USP of the show maybe cos of dat only ekta din created more USP she was confident about mona's fan followin n al😛

and moreover if everythin in the show would have presented properly

The show ratings would have been great.😳 though its not dat bad but could have been better 😳

I started watching KHTV because I loved JJKN a lot and Mona Singh became a favourite of mineback then. However, this show is really DRY.. Sad. i don't understand why Mona signed this as her comeback? The role demands NOTHING of her; not at all challenging the actor in her even a fraction of the way JJKN did. I'm really let down by her, as a fan, that she chose this as her comeback vehicle after 6 YEARS! Typical story, typical episodes, typical characters, frustrating and annoying situations...

I feel there is some major goof up with the way the concept is being dealt and the characterization of most. Mona is doing her part, Jaasi was a path breaking show and her character of Jassi had a lot of dimensions, coming out of it and becoming Mona the wife and mother is a different forte altogether, the character can have growth and be shown beautifully and Mona can do complete justice to it, a comeback role can have a lot of elevation given and dealing with many areas if the concept and the storyline is shown intelligently, and the rest of the characters are balanced. Moreover Ekta is not giving enough publicity after the show went on air interms of coverage with what Mona has to say with the way her character will be shown to get to things the right way and make be shown that she can bring changes for herself being married for so many years and dedicating herself to the family but teh demands keep changing and how its balanced.

These somewhere lack and I see it needs improvement.

At the end of the day if there is no proper story even Mona performance can't salvage the show...as today in television everything depends on storyline...if they still rely on Mona for TRP's then they must be prepared to shut down the shop...

serial needs to improve from roots...if the base of the serial is very strong I guess everythngs will be alright...makers must start creating strong roots...

I think Mona was impressed by BALH, another Ekta serial airing on Sony, which has a fresh treatment and excellent performances even though it's script is not path-breaking. The treatment of a theme makes a vast difference to the overall effect. Had they put in as much effort into KHTV as they do into BALH, this show would have rocked.
Moreover, it's not like TV is chock-a-block with great scripts. A JJKN comes along once in a blue moon. Look at all the TRP-toppers of today--they may have other USPs, but a new story is not one of them. Most bank on either the chemistry of the lead actors (which could have been KHTV's USP had they managed to get Apu on board); or cliched situations which appeal to a certain section of the audience (which won't work here as Sony has a discerning audience) ; or mushy scenes (which, duh, would not suit Pawan at all). Playing a wife and mother of three was a new role for Mona. Her performance is natural and engaging. Even Mouli is doing a great job. The only problem is Pawan. Had they taken a more competent lead actor, perhaps the EMA track would not have been brought in so soon and the couple's bittersweet moments could have been highlighted.

That said, I don't think the show is as bad as some are feeling. I find it fast-paced and gripping. The real issue is the bloopers and the telecast delays.
