Kakul: ohkay so dats wat is bothering you!...what is wrong if I do that?what right do you have to talk to me like that?you have no right over me aman...we are husband and wife only in front of others...otherwise we are nothing but enemies!!!...so its my life...and I can do anything with it!!!...so just stay away from my personal life!!!!

Aman: how dare you talk to me like that?(moves dangerously close to kakul...and kakul tries to control her emotions...so that aman is not able to see the fear and the pain she is going through)

Just then Rahul calls out to everyone...and kakul is relieved...aman and kakul proceed to the hall where rahul is and so does everyone else in the house...

Scene 2: punj hall

Rohit's mother: I have spoken to the panditji and according to him the nearest auspicious day is seven days from now

Gayu: I m so happy that tanu is gonna get married...but don't you think one week!!!...its too short a period for getting all the preparations done!!!

Rahul: don't worry mom?I'll take care of everything!

DP: then we should celebrate...where are the sweets?huh??

Kakul: I'll go get the sweets

Tanu: just a sec bhabhi...I want to tell everyone something very important...something that I hid from everyone...mom...dad...I am pregnant!!!

DP: what???

Gayu: what are you saying tanu???

Rahul: actually mom...she is right...infact I had lied to you about kakul and her friend...kakul and I had taken tanu to the hospital and we were talking about her pregnancy...because we thought that it was not the right time to reveal the truth.

Aman: (to himself) thank God!!!and what all I went on to think!...so kakul was just trying to hurt my feelings by admitting to being pregnant with rahul's child!!!...you wait and watch kakul...what I give you in return to this!

Tanu: mom if bhabhi wouldn't have been there then I wouldn't have been alive!!!...she tells everyone about everything that had happened and how kakul handled the entire situation.

Gayu: thank God!!!everything is fine...kakul beta...I am so sorry!!! I thought like a mother-in-law...and hence misunderstood you...but from now on...you are my daughter ! (she hugs kakul)

Rahul smiles seeing this happen.

Scene 3: rahul's bedroom

rahul is thinking about kakul...he meeting her at kolkatta...getting married to her there...getting married to her in amritsar...the many sweet moments they shared...meeting her in prison...a tear drops from his eyes...

Gayu enters the room...

Gayu: rahul...I want to talk to you...

Rahul: (wipes of the tear and turns around to look at gayu) yeah mom...tell me what's the matter

Gayu: remember rahul?I had told you that it is time you get married?and you told me that you like someone and will tell me who that girl is within one week's time?

Rahul: yes mom...so?

Gayu: tomorrow that period ends...I hope you are ready to tell everyone who the girl is...I was just thinking that then we can get both tanu and you married on the same day!

Rahul: mom?why are you hurrying so much?i...I need some time mom...

Gayu: no rahul...now I don't wanna hear anything else from you...good night beta

Rahul is left thinking as to what to do when his mobile rings...

Naina: hi rahul...so coming to play???

Rahul: naina...I...okay...I'll be there in 10mins

Scene 1: at the basket ball court

Rahul is sitting quietly...lost in thoughts...

Naina: rahul?what is the matter??? Since the past half an hour you are sitting like this...is there any problem???

Rahul: problem???how can there not be any problem???why me naina???why me???

Naina: what happened rahul?common speak up...tell me what's wrong...

Rahul: (choking with pain and sorrow) when kakul was in my life...when she was my wife...I never valued her...I hurt her all the time...I just wanted her to leave me...I wanted her to be out of my life...but then...when she really was out of my life...I realised...i realised her true worth...I realised that I loved her more than anything...she was my life...my happiness...my everything...you know naina?I tried my best to get her back into my life...but she had decided to part ways already...I did everything I could to make her realise that she could be only mine...I did not let any of kakul and aman's pre-marriage ceremonies to be done the proper way...I thought that she would finally give in...because I knew that she loved me...and only me...I was sure that she will not marry aman...it was only her way to make me marry naina...but its on the day of the marriage that I realised that kakul will not stop the marriage...I decided to stop the marriage myself...but before I could do anything...kakul got married...and naina...she was lying dead in my arms! (a big pause)...but now...now that I want her to be happy with aman...she is not ready to move ahead in life...she has not yet accepted aman as her husband...and I am the reason!...its because of me that both aman and kakul are unhappy!...

Naina: but rahul?its not your fault?time will heal everything...believe me rahul...everything will be fine!

Rahul: naina...I want to see kakul and aman happy...will you help me?

Naina: sure rahul...what have I to do???

Rahul: naina...will you marry me???

Naina: what???

Rahul: I mean to say...I just want to project you as my gonna be wife...so that kakul realises that I have moved ahead in life and that she needs to do the same...we will just act as if we like each other...

Naina: rahul?

Rahul: I know naina..that what I am asking is not right...I wont force you either...it was just that you are my only friend and that's why...

Naina: no rahul...its okay...I totally understand...I am ready for it!!!

Rahul: thank you so much naina! Bye naina...I'll meet you tomorrow...thanks again!

Naina's eyes are filled with tears...

Naina: (to herself) rahul...for a moment when you asked me whether I will marry you...I thought that you meant it...I couldn't contain my joy...but then...everything was shattered...you cant fall in love with me...because you love kakul and you will always love only her...I know that...still I love you...for you...it would be just an act...but for me...I will fulfil my dreams of being with you...those will be the most beautiful moments of my life!

Scene 2: at the dining table

Rahul: I wanted to tell you all something very important...

DP: what is it rahul?

Rahul: dad...I had told mom that I have fallen in love...and that I will reveal her name today...you all know her...

Gayu: who is it rahul???common beta tell us...

Rahul: its naina mom...I love naina (he looks at kakul while saying this and kakul looks at him with no emotions)

Aman: this is a very good news...isn't it kakul?

Kakul: yes it is aman...I'l go get sweets...because now rahul has also found a good life partner!...and so it is time to celebrate

Gayu: exactly kakul...I am very happy today...I will call punditji tomorrow...we'll fix the date for the marriage...and rahul...you tell naina to come along with her daijaan...

DP: relax gayu...everything will be done!!!
