I remember when this show first aired. I followed everyone from the cast religiously. The characters were so endearing: Karan, Preeta, Rishabh, Sameer, Shristi, Kritika, and even Sherlyn and Prithvi had their unique appeal.
After the leap, characters like Kavya, Rajveer, Shaurya, and Palki were decent enough. I had stopped watching Kundali a long time ago when I realized the misunderstandings between Karan and Preeta were never-ending, and Sherlyn and Prithvi always succeeded in their schemes. Eventually, I tuned back in after the leap with Rajveer and Shaurya.
Preeta had lost her memory, and all I hoped for was a reunion between her and Karan. I must have watched countless episodes in anticipation of that moment. It took almost a year for them to finally meet, and when they did, my roommate and I happened to catch that episode and were thrilled.
Afterward, we continued watching, hoping they would make Kavya the lead, as the Rajveer, Shaurya, and Palki storyline was incredibly dull. But that didn't happen. Instead, we discovered that Kavya's fiancé was actually Sherlyn's son with revenge on his mind. He portrayed Prithvi's son so well and had great potential. We even hoped to see the Prithvi-Sherlyn duo return, just to shake things up and escape the boring post-leap love triangle.
My roommate and I had our own hopes. She wanted a heartfelt reunion between Kavya and her mom, Preeta, an emotional mother-daughter moment. As for me, since I missed the Kavya storyline, I longed for a scene where Preeta regains her memory and realizes Rajveer is her son. It was heartbreaking to see Rajveer grow up believing his own mother was his aunt. The way he loved Preeta truly resonated with me. A memory-recovery scene between Preeta and Rajveer would have been beautiful and truly a moment to watch. All I wanted was that, my only reason to watch post leap.
I also wished for an emotional moment where Karan discovers Rajveer is his son. Unfortunately, even that was poorly executed. The writing on this show has done a disservice to the characters and actors.
I watched the last episode today because its trending on Youtube. The reveal of Rajveer being Karan Luthra's son was poorly written. What a letdown.
Shame on you, Balaji, for creating such wonderful characters and then giving them such disappointing storylines consistently.
The least upkar you can do on ITV audience is end the other two miserable bhagya's as well.
