A week later...

Kumkum and Sumit start the rehersals sincerely...so does everyone else...Shyam specially appreciates Kumkum as she tries giving 100% to the practise sessions despite being tired and her so called "recent surgery".But Sumit is really worried for her health..

He is always tensed whenever he finds her tired or weak as he knows what she is going through...Despite being 4 months..she never lets him take over her duties during the internship hours....even when she's terribly tired to work...

But soon, the stress begins showing its effect on her...

One day...in the kitchen...

Su:Kumkum??..kya kar rahi hai tu..??

He enters casually, to fetch a glass of water...Kumkum smiles ..

Kk:Kuch nahin...bas aaj..maine daal bana di hai...saath mein i have made spinach...

Su:Kk...tu mujhse pls..hindi mein bola kar...mujhe tujhse english mein baat karna pasand nahin hai...

Kumkum chuckles.."tu pagal hai.."

Su:No..hum jagah rehte hain...whan ki respect karo..but you can't forget your own self na..?..

Kumkum takes a tablespoo of salt and adds it to the recipe in the frying pan...

Su:aur pata hai..waise hi...

As she adds turmeric powder, something sudden happens and she falls to the ground, losing her conscience...

Sumit immediately rushes t her, dropping the glass on the floor only..He takes her in arms...trying to revive her.."Kumkum?..Kk?..kk?.."

Kumkum opens her eyes weakly..She's still feeling delurius..Trying to sit down, she holds her head....when Sumit enters..

Su:Kumkum?..Kya kar rahi hai...Let naa...uthi kyun tu...chalo..leto ..

But she insists on sitting...Sumit gives her a glass of water..She feels better..

She luks @ Sumit, who's half-angry and half-worried for her...She guiltily luks down..

Kk:Pata nahin kaise...wo zara sa chakkar sa aa gaya tha..bas isiliye..

Su:Zara sa chakkar aaya tha?..

Kumkum remains silent, she knows that she would be scolded now..

Kk:wo..

Su:BP kitna high tha pata hai tumhe?....agar us waqt main pani lene kitchen mein naa aaya hota toh kya ho sakta tha pata hai tumhe...

Kk:Sorry..

Su:Mujhse mat bol sorry Kk....is se bol..

He places her hand on her tummy..She luks at him...

Su:Har cheez ka khayal rehta hai tujhe..practise...college..phir hospital...friends..sabka..bas is ko aur khud ko bhul jati hai....

She's still luking down silently...

Su:Tu preeclamsia ki patient hai...you know that...aur ye bhi pata hai ki tujhe bed rest ke liye bola gaya hai..

Kk:Wo..wo toh 5th month se...

Su:toh dekhbhaal ki zarurat toh hogi hi nahin na tumhe?...BP toh agle mahine se badhega...right?...

Kk:Aage se nahin hoga aisa...

Su:main apna Sydney ka trip cancel kar raha hun...i have decided it today...

Sumit had to go to Sydney as his father was to come as per his schedule for a bussiness meeting..for 1 day..

Kk:Nahin sumit...tum jaoge...tumhaare papa aa rahein hain aur..

Su:Aur tu apni laparwahi band nahin karegi..ye bhi main janta hun...

Kk:Sumit..main apna khayaal rakhungi...

Su:MERE REHTE HUE TU AISA KHAYAL RAKH RAHI HAI NA...TOH EK DIN MEIN TU KYA KAREGI MAIN JAANTA HUN...SAMJHI..??..

He sighs.."Kumkum...tu kyun karti hai aisa...kyun nahin samajhti ki teri tabiyat kitni importance rakhti hai..tere liye tere bacche ke liye.....aur mere liye bhi.."

He continues.."Tera daily routine kya hai...subah 5 baje uthti hai...hum dono ke liye breakfast banakar apni research puri karti hai..."

Su:phir...din bhar aadhe din college ki bhag daud aur aadhe din hospital ki internship...shaam ko dance classes..phir 2-4 singing rehersals..ghar aakar tu seedhe padhne baithti hai...

Kumkum waits for him to end his speech..

Su:mere haath ka khana tu khaati nahin hai..bahar se mangwana teri halat allow nahin karti...9 baje khana banati hai...dinner ke baad phir tu 12 baje tak padhegi...

Kumkum leans on the bedside...making an innocent face to stop him from scolding any further...

Su:Kumkum....you need at least 8 hours of sleep.....phir??

Sudeenly, she feels chocked up..Sumit rushes to her and rubs her back...

Su:Aur main itna bada bevakoof hun ..ki tabiyat kharab hone par bhi tujhe lecture de raha hun..aur tu sun bhi rahi hai...chal..khana kha le...

Sumit hands over her plate ...He starts moving out of the room..

Kk:Sumit..?..

He luks back.."haan?.."

kk:Pls...meri wahaj se trip cancel mat karo..

Su:hmm...kal tak dekhte hain...agar kuch improvement dikha...toh chala jaoonga...ek din ai na..parson nikalna hai..

Kumkum smiles.."thanks.."

Su:Bhulna mat...teri problem jis stage par hai...uske severe hone mein waqt nahin lagega...

He leaves ...
