hussain answers question asked by his fans.
What is more challenging, acting or anchoring? —Bhoomi
Dear Bhoomi, both are equally challenging. But anchoring for Khullja Sim Sim is definitely
more physically demanding than acting in Kumkum. As an anchor, I have to be immensely
spontaneous; there are very few retakes, and nothing is planned. As an actor, I know
my lines well in advance.
Would to do a sex comedy like Masti? Have you got Bollywood offers? — Rajesh
Dear Rajesh, I am open to doing anything as long as it doesn't look cheap. It has
to appeal to my aesthetics. As an actor, I want to grow and doing films is definitely
on my mind. But I don't want to jump into it blindly, and am waiting for the right offer.
You have always played positive roles. Why not anything negative? —Nabil Virani
Dear Nabil, I haven't been approached with any, and am happy playing the role
that I am currently doing. There are many shades to my character and equally
challenging to do. Maybe people like me in positive roles, which is why I am being
offered only those.
How different is Sumeet from Hussian? — Swapna
Dear Swapna, Sumeet is a perfectionist, while Hussain is human.
I think Hussain is more real and bound to make mistakes,
but Sumeet is too good to falter.
Why are you doing shows only for Star Plus? — Farhad
Dear Farhad, if I get good offers from other channels, I will consider them.
As of now I am more than happy to be on Star Plus. I think with Khullja Sim Sim
they have really given me a huge platform.
Is there any off-screen chemistry between you and Juhi Parmar? — Sangeeta
Dear Sangeeta, we have chemistry as friends and nothing more. She is a very good
person to work with, beyond that we have no link-up whatsoever.
Were you skeptical about doing Khullja after Aman Verma hosted the show for a long time? — Rahul Seth
Dear Rahul, I went for it with an open mind. Comparisons are inevitable, but
I think I have made my mark on the show now. I personally used to watch
the show when Aman was hosting it, and I think he did a great job on it.
What's your reaction to the Aman Verma expose? — Sandhya
Dear Sandhya, I think nobody has the right to invade anyone's private life.
You can criticise the professional aspect of someone's life, but his private life
is his own. What he does should be his concern and not the world's. I think it is a very
wrong trend that has started with this episode.
Would you ever come to Pakistan to do any shows? — Ria
Dear Ria, it's too early to say yes, but there could be a bleak possibility
that I may be doing something in Pakistan. I have heard that
Kumkum is hugely popular there.
