Juhi Parmar in NB3 - POST HERE

After Juhi's performance an announcement was made by the hosts saying that a competition would be held to select a partner for the single actress as she didn't have one. But when the cameras rolled to the ten couples things didn't go very well. The couples raised their objections saying that selecting a partner for Juhi through a competition meant giving her a partner who was a very good dancer which wasn't fair as many of the participants currently in the show have no dance background but have still participated purely for their partner in real life. Things began to heat up and shooting had to be halted.

"All the couples collected in Kavita and Karan's van… the were discussing the recent development and were not happy with it. At one point even the director came to the van and when he was unable to convince the couples he stormed out of the van. Shooting was stopped for close to three hours as the organisers tried to convince the couples but to no avail," says a unit source.

One of the couples told us that including Juhi wasn't fair. "We have nothing against her personally. She is a great performer but we just think having this competition simply goes against the format of the show. The format says real life couples who are either dating or are married participate together. So if she brings in a stranger doesn't it lose the essence of the show! None of us are happy with it," said one of the dancers.

Rakhi Sawant was her usual vociferous self. "I think by including her they are changing the format of the show. It should now be called Dhoondh Baliye and not Nach Baliye!"

Hanif Hilal and Pooja Bedi weren't very happy either. "We don't have any regrets with Juhi. She is a brilliant performer… we are not against her, we are against the concept. Nach is knowing each other…the couple should have a personal bonding with other and if you are going against this concept then I would say that it's a clash of ideas. The idea of the Baliye is dissolved in the show which is what we want to make clear to the organizer," said Hanif.

Although no one was ready to go on record a source tells us that the ten couples may just have had their way. "There is a strong possibility that the competition maybe scrapped. We have recorded her performance and the link into the competition. But if they can't convince the couples then we may just keep her performance and edit out all the rest of the links," says the source.

Juhi after having performed her dance sequence had left Film City and was completely unaware of the revolt taking place around her inclusion. When we tried to get in touch with her she refused to take our call or reply to our smses.
