Previously : Nidhi reaches Kumkum's home early in the morning. She wakes her up and informs her of the bus-auto strike, and also tells her that her friend will pick them up for college. That friend is Sumit. Before Kumkum could see his face, Nidhi rushes her inside the car. During the journey, Sumit apologises again and this time Kumkum forgives him, but rejects his proposal of friendship. Sumit finds her weird and decides to stay away from her.
SCENE 22
Sumit gets down the car, stil thinking about Kumkum, when his cell phone rings. It's Ash on the other side. Sumit picks up the phone.
Sumit: Hello..
Ash: Hello Sumit..
Sumit: haan bol..
Ash: tu pahunch gaya college?
Sumit: haan..
Ash: uss chhipkali ko.. i mean.. uss ladki Kumkum ko pick-up kiya tha tune?
Sumit: haan kiya tha.. aur college bhi le aaya usse..
Ash: achha.. tune uss se baat ki.. did you say sorry??
Sumit: yes i did.. aur voh maan bhi gayi..
Ash: good... matlab ab Mr.Sumit Wadhwa ki friends list mein ek aur naam judh gaya..
Sumit: jee nahi.. aisa kuch nahi hai.. usne meri dosti ko reject kar diya..
Ash: kya?? lekin kyun??
Sumit: how do i know??.. keh rahi thi ki pyar aur dosti zabardasti nahi kiye jaate... ho jaate hain.. voh mujhe jaanti tak nahi.. toh dosti toh door ki baat hai..
Ash: kya?? aisa kaha usne.. very strange.. badhi hi ajeeb ladki hai..
Sumit: i know.. issliye maine decide kiya hai ki main uss se door hi rahunga..
Ash: hmm.. chal ab main rakhti hoon.. mujhe bhi late ho raha hai.. aur fir Rach ko bhi ye news deni hai.. Bubye..
Sumit: Ok.. bye..
Sumit hangs the phone and moves towards his classroom. Its just the 3rd day of the college, so he has to check the time-table for the room. He pulls out the time-table from his bag and checks the room. He keeps on moving while reding the paper, without seeing forward. Suddenly he bangs into someone.
The person: Ouch !!! dikhayi nahi deta kya.. andhe kahin ke..
Sumit looks up and inds its Kumkum.
Sumit: Ohh Kumkum.. I'm so sorry.. maine dekha hi nahi ki tum ho..
Kumkum also looks up and finds out that it was Sumit who banged into her. She gets angry at once.
Kumkum: Tum?? tumhe dekh kar nahi chalna aata kya.. tumhare jaise ladke naa... kabhi seedhe nahi ho sakte...
Sumit also feels angry at her comments.
Sumit: maine bola naa sorry...
Kumkum: haan.. yeh sahi hai... kisi ka khoon bhi kar do aur keh do SORRY... achha word bana diya hai angrezon ne..
Sumit: hadd ho gayi.. tumhare jaisi ladki nahi dekhi maine.. arre main time-table dekh raha tha.. saamne se nazar zaraa hat gayi.. issliye tum se takra gaya.. varna mujhe koi shauk nahi hai tum jaisi laskiyon se takraane ka..
Kumkum: mujh jaisi ladkiyaan?? kya matlab hai tumhara mujh jaisi ladkiyaan??
Sumit: vahi jo tumhara tha 'tum jaise ladkon' se..
Kumkum: tum apne aap ko samajhte kya ho huh.. 2 minute hue nahi ladhaai solve hue ki tumne fir apni harkatein dikhani shuru kar di...
Sumit: harkatein?? oh hello... main toh paper dekh raha tha.. par tum toh saamne dekh rahi thi.. tumhe main dikhayi nahi diya kya.. agar nahi, toh jaake chashma lagwaa lo..
Kumkum: tum... tum.. tum naa...
Kumkum stammers. Sumit takes the opportunity and shus her up.
Sumit: haan main bahut handsome aur intelligent hoon.. i know... tell me something new girl...
Saying this, he leaves Kumkum standing there, furious. Nidhi comes there and asks her the matter.
Kumkum: voh tera dost.. Sumit.. voh kabhi nahi sudhrega.. sirf teri vajah se maine uss se dhang se baat karni shuru ki thi.. lekin voh.. usse ladkiyon se baat karne ki tameez hi nahi hai.. ab agar tune mujh se kaha naa uss se baat karne ke liye toh main sabse pehle tujh se baat karna band kar dungi.. aur usse toh apne paas bhi fatakne nahi dungi..
Nidhi: arrey yaar.. just chill.. relax.. shaant ho jaa.. ab chal upar.. class ka time ho raha hai..
Nidhi takes Kumkum inside the building and then upstairs into the classroom. On entering, they find that they are already late by a few minutes. There is a new teacher inside their class whom they do not recognise. They could tell he was very strict by the way he glared at them and then motioned them to come inside. They entered and saw that the class was jam-packed. Already there were very less no. of desks in the room and on almost every desk 3 students were sitting. Nidhi quickly found a place where only 2 people were sitting, Henna and Verni. To her horror Kumkum found that there was only one vacant seat, besides Sumit. Sensing that she had no other option, she went to his seat and sat with him.
Teacher: I think that now all late-comers have found their way to the class...
He specially glared at Sumit and Kumkum, coz Sumit had also reached just before Kumkum, so he was also a bit late.
Teacher: Let me introduce myself to you.. I'm Professor Tomar.. Your new Chemistry teacher.. Your class co-ordinator and chemistry teacher has taken an unexpected leave due to some personal problems.. so from now on i'll be teaching you chemistry.. and wil be your class co-ordinator.. main apne baare mein aap logon ko kuch bataana zaroori nahi samajhta kyunki main aapka teacher hoon, koi dost nahi.. aur main teacher-cum-friend ki philosophy mein bilkul vishwas nahi rakhta.. issliye aap sab ko dhyan rahe ki mere saath aapko students ki tarah hi pesh aana hai.. aur ek baat.. ye jo aap sab ka so called modern dimaag hai naa, mujhe usse thikaane pe laana achhi tarah se aata hai.. meri class mein sabhi ladke-ladkiyaan tameez se rahenge..
Saying this, he again glared at Sumit and Kumkum sitting together. For some reason, which he also didn't know, he felt something against them.
Prof. Tomar: abhi tak aapne aise hi saari labs attend ki hain.. ab main aapke labs aur tutorials ke groups divide kar raha hoon.. for tutorials, role no. 1 to 54 is T1 and the rest T2.. and for practicals, P1 is roll no. 1 to 21.. P2 is roll no. 22 to 57.. P3 is roll no. 58 onwards.. Each batch will be divided into smaller groups of 3 students each..
After announcing this, he left the class. Both Sumit and Kumkum started calculating the sub-group they'll fall in.
Though Kumkum and Sumit had both decided to stay away from each other, but they will not be able to; because they had just realised that not only they share the same tutorial and practical batch, they were in the same sub-group of the practical too.
