Still rooted to Gujarati culture Hussain has promised Tina to take her to his hometown Godhra. He chats up with Forum Chhaya-Pathak and recalls his childhood
Hussain Kuwajerwala, now a heart throb of television industry, has come a long way in the tinsel town but his own heart still beats for his hometown Godhra. Though born and brought up in Mumbai he is still rooted to his Gujarati culture and his mind is still afresh with memories of relishing golas during his summer vacations in Godhra. "I still remember the taste of Vadodara's flavoured milk and kachi keri gola that I used to have at lari in Godhra. I have also tried ice golas at Juhu beach, but the taste come s nowhere closer to the traditional taste back then," Hussain says reminiscing his fun days. He has also promised his wife Tina to take her to his hometown soon.
Hussain won the hearts of viewers since his days in Kumkum while the Tina-Hussain jodi shot to fame after their spectacular dance performance on Nach Baliye. Once again both of them would be seen together on the soon-to-be-started show - Star Vivaah. The couple will be seen sharing the secrets of successful marriage to the prospective brides and bridegrooms.
"Marriage is all about striking a balance between work, home and people," opines Hussain. "There are times when we dislike few things about each other; here the art of accepting the person as he/she is, works wonders," he adds. Quiz Tina about one thing she loves and hates about Hussain and she replies with a chuckle, "His limit of patience is amazing which has taught me to be more patient while his table manners needs to be improved a little."
However, Hussain is all praises of Tina when it comes to commitment to her work. "The amount of time and energy she spends in researching about her work or people she is associated with is highly commendable."
The couple describes the Nach Baliye days as the most important time to know each other. But now that they have moved ahead and have different career to pursue both enjoy the professional time and space they are getting. Earlier a fashion designer, Tina, is back to her designing after a stint with television. "Besides designing clothes for Hussain for Indian Idol, I have received many compliments for his new young look in Kumkum," Tina says proudly.
After television, now Hussain aims at doing films and he is waiting for the recession to get over to saviour his dream of being on the silver screen.
