Juhi Parmar |
This Jaipur gal was bubbling with excitement as soon as we mentioned the word marriage to her over phone. And Juhi Parmar, who is tying the knot on February 15 this year, made no effort to hide her thoughts as she said, "It's a completely different feeling. I have been married onscreen many, many times since I became an actress, and those scenes made me feel nothing. But I can't articulate how it felt when I held the mangalsutra that Sachin (Shroff) bought me ... it's strange that I am already emotionally attached to it. Indeed, it's completely different being a tele bahu because all I had to do was to go on the sets and act." The chirpy star adds that she is on cloud nine and like any other girl, is waiting eagerly for the D-day. "I feel really nice and special with every passing day. And the feeling is finally sinking in, that my singlehood will end in a few days time," she shares.
Though, Mumbai is now the home for both Juhi and Sachin, the couple however, couldn't resist the charm of Jaipur and zeroed in on Juhi's hometown as their wedding destination. "I love the grandeur of the Jaipur weddings. They are so full of colour and so traditional that there is no way I could have opted for some other place for the marriage ceremony. And Sachin is equally excited about the destination. In fact, my industry friends are so thrilled that they have already got their bookings done," shares Juhi whose family members are now apparently on their toes getting last minute preparations done, since the bride has demanded that all things be kept completely traditional. In fact, Juhi has made sure that her wedding lehenga has Rajwada embellishments on it too. But how would the busy bee manage work when she takes her break for marriage and after? "My schedule is very hectic. I think they (the producers) will have to make some changes in the story to accommodate my absence.
However, I will complete the shoots of some of the episodes and take chutti for my wedding. And before going for my 15-day honeymoon to New Zealand, I would go back to Mumbai and shoot. And since I am already feeling so tired, I am eagerly looking forward to the time when I would leave for Jaipur and our honeymoon where there will be neither work nor responsibilities." And Juhi, who plans to keep working even after marriage is thankful that she has found a partner from within the industry who understands her professional responsibilities, "You can't imagine how convenient it becomes ... Sachin knows that the shooting schedules are erratic and understands when there are last minute cancellation of plans and vice-versa. Like on September 30 last year, I was to meet my in-laws and from the next day onwards the TV technician strikes were announced. So, at the last minute I got a call from the production department to show up for a whole night's shoot. As Sachin is in the same profession, he understood the situation and after we had dinner, he let me get back to work. I am sure someone, who is not familiar to the industry wouldn't understand all this," signs off she.
