Tried watching new show Baatein out of curiosity, so just sharing.

Being Maharastrian & with a different voice doesn't necessarily come across as plus points onscreen.😕

Though its too early & need to give some time for a new serial to settle.. but its visible that casting, styling, makeup, performance, body language, character sketch of 35 years middle class struggling singer Vandana needs big improvement, screen presence is week though screen time is max. 😒

Mohit as Kunal got less screen time, but its impactful to watch his scenes, there's a backstory & baggage Kunal carries.

I somehow feel & say it again after seeing two new promos of upcoming 9pm SP show Baatein & watching this actress previous soap BPKH on SB at 9.30om, this seems like miscasting & wrong styling case. Actress showing negligible vibe with actor Mohit who plays 40 years old male lead, nor has captivating screen presence of a prime time daily soap female lead, doubtful if she can carry off convincingly role of an unmarried 35 years woman who is bread earner of a family, she also has to show rhyming voice that can hook as an upcoming singer who gets trapped into love.🤔 Hope to be proven wrong with proper writing, styling, character design, performance & presentation.

Still wish all the best to Baatein, as SP channel has much better network & distribution outreach, good marketing teams, budgets and also since its a successful remake story from a top PH.

She mentions how tough it is to get roles once you have passed the ‘age limit’. That’s so unfortunate that it happens to the female actors. I especially liked her stories about her father saying she lost only when she cried❤️ and her bond with her brother.
Also that tidbit about her insta/Twitter handle was good. 👍🏼

From what I have heard and read, (un-confirmed) the show is in danger of shutting due to low trps and replaced with another show. SP really needs to pull its crap together. Replacing a successful show with another which may or may not do well was a huge risk. Also the prev show’s fans were cursing the channel. So karma catches up.. (if the show is confirmed off air).
