First and foremost its script, direction and situations shown in a serial that makes any character shape up too disgustingly negative to get hated most by the audience. 😳
Last few days I have been noticing on SM lot of people showing utter disgust with most abusive words for Aliya's character in KKB. But they are also appreciating Shikha's tone, dialogue modulation, her expressions, the way she quickly changes emotions, her body language, the way she uses her eyes and her hands while speaking and some times even with silence how much she makes your blood boil...👍🏼 This is what is called terrific acting, doing good job playing negative character that gets abused the most by viewers but as an actress gets appreciated and recognized for her body of work. So Indian TV audience have learnt over years to appreciate negative performances away from the characters they hate. 😊
In the last 2.5 yrs since Leena joined as Tanu in KKB, slowly viewers hatred towards Tanu kept on increasing due to the way her character kept on falling low, but very rarely I have noticed people appreciating her acting abilities be it as a supporting character, as sidekick, as third wheel, as vamp, as main villain or main lead what ever names that can be given for the undue importance Tanu's role has got from writers, creatives, directors and producers over the years. Firstly Leena is miscast for role of India's top super model, being fair, modern and good looking doesn't give an actress an ability to get into models body language, class, styling and attitude. Then coming to her character variations, any other talented actress in her place could have received loads of appreciation for the kind of screen space she got, but she rarely did. 👎🏼 Pls this is a fact closely observed that I'm sharing, not meant to offend any one.
While watching many episodes, many scenes over the years, there are people like me who felt if there was any other TV actress instead of Leena in that scene how bombastic it could have turned into with delight for eyes to watch, especially in combination scenes with other excellent actors on this show. But rarely could have felt similar while watching Shikha enact Aliya's role. Now that's the difference and indicates a lot. 😳
Leena is unfortunately an average actress a rather weak link when compared to rest of the KKB core cast who are bundles of multi layered talent, some don't even get utilized most of the time in the show. Leena still has a long way to improve as an actress, despite getting so much elevated character build and screen space in a top notch TV show for many years, she still has a lot of room as an actress for improvement. Her eyes, her body language, her tone, dialogue modulation, the way she emotes in some crucial scenes still just goes off track looking amateurish. 😒
