~Naina Writes!~

If you count in numbers, maybe the birthday girl hasn't posted many stories but if you consider the rich emotions that come with her fictions, she has written a lot. On her special day, we would like to share some of our favourite lines written by the girl of the day 'Naina'.

~Mitushi's Favourites~

"Fuggy?" I looked up, surprised he was still standing next to me. He bent down and gave me a quick peck on the cheeks, to my utter bewilderment. "I totally knew how to color within the lines. It wasn't my first time coloring. I just wanted the girl sitting next to me with the oversized glasses to give me some of her attention."
He gave me his drool-worthy grin and a wink. And with that, he went back inside to our room, while I kept my hand on my cheek where he had just kissed me, my eyes too wide and my heart racing too quickly to process anything he had just said.

What the french toast just happened...

- Pragya, That Someone Special

These are my favourite lines from Naina's "Diaries of Pragya Abhishek Mehra- That someone special" .. I loved how that kid who kissed Pragya for the first time turned out to be Abhi himself. An unexpected surprise. And the reason why Abhi was smiling for most of the time, listening to his own story!! 😃😃 And now when we have seen how kid Pragya looks I can imagine her more clearly... 😊

And yet, as cheesy as it sounded, I hopelessly dreamed to be someone's sapnon ki rani. Someone's dream girl. That I'd end up finding someone who cherished me. Someone who would like me for my simplicity. Someone who wouldn't find me boring. Someone who would admire me, my books, my glasses, my ideas.

Eventually Pragya found someone who loves each and every quality of hers. Who is in love with Pragya and can wait for her forever. This AU of Naina came true finally on screen. And Pragya's lover is none other than her own husband who madly and crazily adored her and dreams about her every now and then.

~Nadz's Favourites~

Love literally everything about this OS. Pointing favourite parts out would be a quoting majority of the OS, like almost all LOL. It was very descriptive, comical, and the way Abhi being jealousy and possessive towards Pragz was shown ; it gave chills. She got to know what he thinks of her, which is sooo good. When Pragz wanted Abhi to never falter despite knowing she's turned into Mogambo was heartbreaking. When Pragz tells Abhi what went wrong in their marriage, vented out, telling him to see beyond what she is showing about herself to him and him regretting ; can feel the intensity and silence breaking after. Also ending with a hopeful start. With him penning down her dreams and few things about her with her favourite gulab jamuns to show he wants to change things between them for the better so it works out is, loveee. Lots of making up to do and getting to know each other better and what a better start than this eyyy?

Quoting this because it's like a new start for AbhiGya and it is just too adorbzzz not to.

You asked me some questions yesterday.
1) You told me this at our engagement. You mastered in English Literature and Philosophy
2) When you were younger, you wanted to be a writer. And travel the world. But then Sarla Aunty had said that you gave up those dreams to manage the house with her.
3) Hobbies: poetry, reading books, watching Game of Thrones, making the best coffee, not wearing chashmas anymore. Being Mogam...being bossy. Wearing hot saris.
4) Your bday: Someday this year. It hasn't already passed...has it?
P.S. You're horrible at pretending you're drunk. We have to work harder on that next time. Learn from a pro ;)

Like what even is this cute note?? Hahahaaa, and him almost calling her Mogambo but not finishing it off and calling her bossy instead, cute.
Loved the little twist in the end how he knew it all along that she was pretending drunk, unexpected.

Also no.4 now that Abhi in the show remembers her birthdays even during when she's not around, including her dreams and hobbies in the fic. Would love to read your perspective on it through your next collection fics.

Nainz, you're such a fantastic writer. This OS was everything. You brought it to life. And you should definitely consider writing more often.

That guy wasn't Rockstar Abhi that I thought I got trapped into marriage with. I don't know if he saw my embarrassment and tried to cover it up by his response. Or if he got caught in the moment. Or if it had something do with him figuring out I was crying in the car. I don't know what he did with that picture, whether he showed it to Daadi, saved it or deleted it the moment we left the shop. But his affection and admiration those few moments in that shop didn't seem forced; for those few seconds, everything was real.

I wasn't anyone's dreamgirl...but, just for those few seconds...maybe I was.

- Pragya, Mere Sapno Ki Rani

Pragya's life for us may be a life full of struggles. Putting aside the arguments that this is a soap and considering her character, she is a hopeful and optimistic person despite of all that went wrong in her life. Yes, she cries at times but she doesn't stop living her life because of that. She thrives on the happiness that she gets from things which are considered trivial' by common people and subtle gestures. This paragraph summarizes her nature. She was happy with the few moments he was being nice to her and her expectations from him didn't raise because of that (as she lists out other possible reasons for him being nice) but she was happy with the moment. When you read "maybe I was, you could visualize a slight smile on Pragya's face and if you are a person like me, you could have found yourself smiling too.

- Abhi, If Only You Knew

This is one of my favourite endings for a fiction! What a cute way to reveal that Abhi knew that she was acting all along and him referring himself as a pro' is so Abhi'ish. This girl not only delivers us a detailed insight into Pragya's mind through her writings but also gives us Abhi' being mature but not so different from how he is on the show. Maturity doesn't mean the absence of childishness.

"Because captains never let the sink ship. They're the most respectable, responsible, loyal people you'll ever meet. They have a big heart, but an even stronger willpower. And if by any chance the ship does sink, they'll be the last one to jump off. They'll save everyone at the cost of risking their own happiness, their own life. "

- Abhi, Bas Hum Tum

Remember the episode where Abhi calls Pragya Captain Fuggy'? This excerpt from the OS is such a wonderful interpretation of the word Captain' and the words here make some of us think that the title Captain' is tailor made for Pragya. And who is saying all this? Abhi is saying it to Pragya! Can this scene get any better? If you're thinking of saying No', then I would recommend you to go and read the full OS 😉
