Yes this scene left me stunned!! To be quite honest, by serial standards for a heroine, this is a selfish speech. She is not taking responsibility for every ill in the world. She is not pursuing a hopeless fight out of pure principle. She is not blaming herself for being cursed or incapable or not trying hard enough. She is insisting on her humanity, on her right to frustration, fatigue, anger and disillusionment. She is speaking of her losses and sacrifices. She is describing a future vision of herself as healing and moving on alone. In some dictionaries this kind of protest and self-justification would be called self-respect.
So for me, this scene was amazing. It demonstrates one of the ways in which Kumkum Bhagya is unique and fresh. I have argued with friends before who claim that Pragya is not a feminist example because of the compromises she has made in her life in the past. Rare scenes like this show that she, and the writers and creative team behind her, actually are feminist at the core. A rare thing to see in a serial and I absolutely admire and adore it!
YESSS MINZZZ!!! I'm sooo freakin' glad Pragz is shown to be human at times. She literally said everythinggg we're always writing about her!! I felt like they creeped into Sriti AT for this monologue 😆 But yes yes yes everything about this scene was pure BLISS!!! I was literally gaping, jaws-dropped especially when she brought up Tabhi from revenge marriage and how she said "He loves me he wants to marry me but says he can't" in the most frustrated-angry voice!!
I'm equating this anger to Angry Abhi at Lonavla!! He was giving up on them at that time. She's giving up on them now!!
