Is Bhagya behind Abhi considering Pragya as his bff?

Pragya was introduced to Abhi as his fan and then he got to know that she is his crazy fan or 'fan number 1'. Then they met here and there few times. He believed her against the Varun accusation. Then when she needed a job, he made her his secretary (after the attempt to get her a job at another office failed).

He started considering her 'more than a secretary' and like a friend and started sharing his feelings about his marriage, his latest album getting etc. When she left the city after getting falsely blamed, he went to chase her and bring her back. He even fell at her feet while apologizing. He told her that he couldn't live without her.

When she came back, he asked her to promise him that she would take him wherever she goes. When he came to hear that 'she is pregnant', he got hurt but then he wishes to take care of her. He calls her as his best friend.

Seriously, did Abhi's past with Pragya helped him in getting attracted to her? It may be true that if Abhi before 3 years hadn't misunderstood Pragya to be a gold digger and saw her real nature, he wouldn't have tortured her and be sweet to her. But then would he have been attracted to Pragya this fast that he could say that he couldn't think of living without her and care for her so much? Are these not too fast/miraculous for the time they spent together without evening knowing that he is her husband?

I am not saying Abhi being sweet is abnormal but this much of ATTACHMENT to her from a boss-employee/celebrity-fan relationship in a short time, what could be the reason?

Thanks for the recap Nivz, it helps ground and focus the discussion. Honestly speaking I don't think there is an in-story reason for Abhi's quick attachment to Pragya. I think it's just plot convenience. The audience knows they have a past, so they don't want to see some extended sequence where Abhi is cautious about getting to know Pragya. They want AbhiGya together in crazy situations, and soon. So that's why the story brought them together in the way it did post-memory loss. I think the show tries to promote a theory that Abhi's "heart" still knows his past feelings, and that even though he has no conscious knowledge of his past, he is still drawn to be with Pragya because of it. I don't find that they have done enough to really develop this theory and support it with different scenes on the show - it's just something characters sometimes give lip service to.

Ultimately I would say yes, bhagya is behind Abhi's "BFF" feelings - in that bhagya in this case is actually the narrative decision of the showmakers. Whether it makes sense or not, whether there's a specific reason or not, AbhiGya are fated to be involved in each other's lives, because the show is about that only 😆

And, I would say that being sweet is actually abnormal for Abhi - he is not his regular self right now. He's missing his memories, his past, a major part of his identity. Maybe the missing piece is that "heart" theory the show wants us to believe. I hope when he consciously gets back the knowledge of his life we can have an answer about whether his fresh attachment to Pragya after memory loss genuine arose from the situation, or was only based on his subconscious feelings from the past, or was simply narrative fate/bhagya. I don't think the show is necessarily interested in answering this question though!! 😆

Pragya knows so much about Abhi. She does so much for Abhi. For example, she can so easily understand his habits, his likes and dislikes, make the best coffee for him etc. etc. All this has been possible because Pragya had a past with Abhi where she had a chance to know him.

So for Abhi, to find someone who knows him so much and helps him out in his day to day life and affairs may have made him get attached to her.

Moreover, if we have noticed, they keep making Abhi say some stuff randomly.. like he called her Mogambo, Abhimanyu, Fuggy etc.. while he thinks it's just out of the blue, it all has a history. So sometimes his brain works with the past although he doesn't consciously recognize it. So they want to show there is a bond between Abhi's heart and Pragya although he does not recognize it consciously. The characters keep saying it too that his heart didn't forget anything.

And all that I can't live without you are just lollipop overdone scenes too.. just like Kumkum rules claims.. most of the times.
