What would you do if you have an ML?

You wake up in a hospital bed. You look a little older, little different even to you. Your family and friends inform you that you have lost your memory of the past 3 years. They also tell you that nothing much happened in those years. What would you do? Would you try to know about your past beyond your closed ones' assurance? If yes, what would you do?

I would take lots of vacations and travel everywhere in the world, just in case I wont get the chance later. And then yes, I'd do lots of snooping!

Tbh I think I'd be terrified if I lost my memory. Im imagining all the years of school I'd have to repeat again...

I would look for my journals, I would make people talk to me about the past, I would insist on seeing pictures...or at least, I think that's what I would do. I would definitely want to know about the past! But the problem is that in these situations you also need to live in the present and face the future, and sometimes it's healthier to focus on that rather than trying to recover the past.

What startles me to think about is how much there is that absolutely no one else could tell you about your life. Things only you know about how you spend your time or what you've experienced. I imagine that the hardest part of memory loss would be feeling like a stranger to yourself.

The second paragraph made me laugh for a second but then it is probably the thought that would arise for any practical person. I guess, I would also react similarly except that I wouldn't study the same course though 😆

Interesting question Nive.. But I m sure i'll do nothing. I am a very lazy person. If my family will tell me about my past... well and good..and if not then I'll just eat and sleep and suffer in silence.😆 I am such a drainer.

That would be such a horrible situation .imagine at the moment I'm in college and suddenly I'm back to school freaking about board exams...first of all that would be so hard to believe I lost my memory. I would be sulking somewhere in the corner of my house 😆 I will ask questions to my parent andfriends 24/7 about my forgotten life...I don't use social media so that option is out of the equation 😆
I don't think I answered your question properly 😆

You answered my question JD 😆 You would be asking questions all day. That's the answer.

Yes, it's hard for anyone to believe that they lost their memory and very confusing too

Insightful answer but I had to quote these particular lines as they say the complexity involved. 👏
